If only software developers take the Steam route and provide regional pricing and discounts but no!!! They all charge US price which is too much for average Indian middle class users and now most software are becoming subscription based. Imagine such high cost per year. I only use the MS Office paid version as with the MS 365 I also get 1 TB OneDrive storage which helps a lot but others I used to use cracks but now look for free alternatives. Yes, even if the crack works, you will get the malware with it, and mostly you will open a backdoor. Cracking these apps takes time; why would anyone provide it for free? Generally, people think a virus will do visible damage, like deleting files, but the attackers can use your PC as a bot on their botnet.
