    People are afraid of the pressure of the water, but most of the time fear comes from a place of unfamiliarity with the subject, and inexperience. When you know what you're doing, there is no need for fear. Pressure = fear.

    It makes sense. The more I dive the easier it is to go deep. But when I think about it, I never really improved my static apnea time. So it all came down to fear and relaxation.

      in breathhold diving we have to respect surface intervals. stay on the surface 3x the time of your dive time. if you were underwater for 1 minute, than wait at least 3 m minutes before diving again.
      it's not an answer to your question but it will mitigate most possible problems related to the topic

      they're reptiles not mammals ;-) correct! hey do have a diving reflex though which triggers the same adaptations . please google diving adaptations in sea turtles 😎

    I was exposed to a sqwiz
    At a depth of forty meters more than once, with varying degrees of danger, I then began to do stretching exercises and became more relaxed about going out fishing in particular. I feel better but Sometimes I feel like coughing and itching in my windpipe with some blood coming out of my throat when I move my head and neck too deep almost and when its cold water. Are there solutions to avoid these injuries? Is it chronic and cannot be overcome? Thanks

    • @gertleroy
      @gertleroy  4 місяці тому +1

      the solution is to dive to a depth you are 100% comfortable at. the moment you are not totally comfortable, that's where a squeeze might happen. If you squuze at 40m depth, it means you are not ready fe 40m. The best thing you can do is to go train freediving at a freediving school so you can fully focus on the dive itself and the relaxation and confidence you need for deep dives. cheers

    Im curious and searching in any video dont get the answer... The question is how you diving or swimming face facing up and the water not get into your nose without the clip nose?... Or is it something that even professional swimmer and diver cant do that? Or is it just me?😅

    • @gertleroy

      water always gets in your nose when swimming upside down. wear a mask.
