      It would be interesting, a series of interlocking books that link together chronologically, we would start out with with razil’s decent to to dredgen yor, the next book could be about shin malphurs ascent into “the man with the golden gun” and after that it could be a joint story about cayde, ikora and zavala. Maybe something about osiris and saint 14 too! And the last book series could be about our guardian, with each book being a little different to suit each class, race and gender. So the story would follow your character if you picked the book for a male exo hunter or a female awoken titan.

    Unrelated to sword logic, but has anyone ever noticed that destiny makes references to twinkle twinkle little star about Ghost? On the first Venus mission, The Stranger calls your ghost "little light", which if you look up the full poem is in there. Could be part of a larger connection, if you read the entire thing with the Traveler's story in mind.

    How I wonder what you are!
    Up above the world so high,
    Like a diamond in the sky.
    When the blazing sun is gone,

    it also mentions in the latter part of the book of sorrow. About how Crota accidentaly led the Vex into their world in the process of experimenting on how to get a new power. A Mind called Quria, the Blade Transform, understood the sword logic. The verse said that it needs to kill everything to become powerful. verse 4:9 from the book of sorrow

    Everyone! Sorry for the low volume, my laptop broke, consequently I am working off an old PC plugged into a TV!! I know, looks pretty funny, I am sitting in front of a tv to make this video. Consequently, my volume was coming through the TV so it sounded fine on my end, however, for those normal people using a phone, tablet or laptop, it may be hard to hear. As for doing star wars lore you definitely have the capability to do it and id personally be interested in it because i always enjoyed star wars but never got super in depth with the lore. I find the Destiny lore extremely interesting, but I don't have time nor the patience to go through all of the cards.     I love your Destiny Lore because, even though I'm an avid Destiny fan/player, the lore is kind of hard to sort through on my own! I don't think I, or many others, have this problem with Star Wars. But, if you want to, and it makes you happy, then do it for sure!

    I think that the basic principle of Sword Logic granting strength is (at least partially) proved by the most fundamental of game mechanics - earning experience and levelling up.

    we gamers are experts of sword logic: kill a shit ton of things and get exp, more exp you have the more powerfull you get.
    (and the loot is what represents the creature we kill in destiny : kill crota and ya get his word for example)

Me too, I feel excited and nervous to try something else, however I really like the idea of having destiny as the base for the channel and other sci-fi games as additions. it is also refreshing for me and in fact improves my writing. A lot of the skills I use for destiny, I actually got from writing Bloodborne lore

    Hey Myelin. I think doing a variety of game loves would be a positive for the channel. I honestly love Star Wars as much as I do destiny. So I am keen on the idea of Star Wars lore. But.     Great video as always,I think the sword logic gives u power but there is logic,no pun intended, in the other one,I think the part where Oryx is ordered to kill his children can be interprated as training ones bloodlust, but i got nothing on the third verse where u prove it.

    I think sword logic itself is the philosophy, hence the ‘logic’ and it is proven by being as ruthless and absolute as possible. Whittling the universe down to its simplest and most perfect form - just as a sword would. The power gained from the sword logic may be linked to the hive worms as they feed on death.
    If the light lives in all places and all things as the speaker mentions it would be correct to assume that worms feed on that and gain power from devouring the light, being creatures of the dark.

    ok so I've got a theory on Toland and her rock so if you look into some off the ttk lore you will find out Toland's not dead in fact he is in a realm beyond the netherworlds he which is mentioned by eris in the mission where you turn invisible he learnt the death singers song as well when he is in this new realm he has being sending us notes in the lore this started once oryx arrived he new before us and told eris fell and eris' rock s started speaking when oryx arrived it think eris' rock allows her to speak to Toland from his realm

    Great video, I don't really have any corrections or disagreements. While I do completely agree that the sword logic does make you stronger by killing, I do think the ultra-Darwinian "if I killed you, then you didn't deserve to live. If you can't kill me, I deserve to live," is an important part of it as well. It's not just a method, but a philosophy they use to weed out the unworthy for the completion of the final shape. Another thing about the Sword Logic is that it seems to be physical law in the throne worlds/netherworlds, as reinforced by Toland saying "Understand that this nightmare logic underpins His nightmare world," and by Quria's methods during the Vex invasion of the throneworld.
    I'm no t really interested in Star Wars lore, but I have no problem with you doing them.
    As for the infamous final scene of the Taken King, I believe I have an explanation backed by many grimoire cards and cutscene dialogue. This thread is primarily about understanding the Awoken and beyond veil (Mara Sov, the head techeun, the FWC machine, and Vex gate networks all go beyond the veil, possibly the location of the Darkness and the Black Garden), but I do cover the queen and Eris collaborating in one of the comments (it's linked in the OP for quick access): www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/171885380/0/0

    Meeeeyyyyyliiiiin! i fuckin love your videos dude! i think i have an explaination for the final cutscene! i believe the majority of the destiny community understands that what happened during thar cutscene is oryx teleporting himself into the ascended world! he cut space-time and "walked" through a wormhole betwen dimentions. he just did it a bit differently (according to the grimoire, for the hive to travel through space-time they must "swing the Sword and cut space into green fire and screams"). furthermore i dont remember seeing a hive teleporting to the ascended world just like that! they had to "die" like Crota! we had to destroy his soul inside the crystal. then he went to his throne at the ascended world! we didnt kill Oryx at the "real" world! He felt weaker and desided to go to his throne to prepare!
    so my cunclusion is the Darkness (along with all the awesome powers It gave him) It gifted him with the power to fully control the Willbreaker, his Sword! It gave him the power to control what the Sword holds, witch is pure strength of those it killed and use it in any way! so, what im trying to say is that, Oryx secreficed his Sword to go to his ascended throne
    but there still is a question! why didnt he died in the real world an then just go to the ascended world WITH his Sword and chose to go WITHOUT It? maybe because He thought that He didnt had the sword logic to kill as and bring us to his stage without much effort from his side! anyway i cant wait to hear your thoughts on the subject on video! much love! keep working hard! we love your content!

      I forgot to add. Star Wars will wxpand your horizons, gain you extra viewers and your channel will grow exponentially. However I'd be concerned about how stringent Star wars fans are on the accuracy of their lore. And secondly, will this effect your work on Destiny content? Delaying it and such?

      +THE BLACK VVOLF hi, thanks for the advice. THey are my exact concerns to. I think to combat this, I would have to ensure that I do not rush videos, a rushed poorly formulated video would be more damaging to the channel than nothing at all. My plan is to continue with at least x1 destiny lore video per week and to ensure that it continues. SO it may replace one Destiny video, however I have had some good suggestions, to do alternate weeks i.e. x2 Destiny lore, x1 Destiny + x1 Star Wars. This could work nicely, as it will probably take a good couple weeks to write a script for star wars

    I believe that the card ghost fragment: hive 3 is toland deducing the sword logic, just like oryx did. Could this perhaps allow him to become ascendant, since he has also spent time mapping the hive throne worlds?

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but when oryx says " I will learn all the secrets of our destiny" at 12:21 that's only the second time the word destiny is used in all of the grimore cards right? The first being in a grimore card on dredgen Yor, again if I am remembering correctly. Weird that both are from someone with close association to the darkness

    The sword logic seems to be a mix of both. sword logic does not make you more powerful physically, but in a way, it proves you are worthy. In oryx's dimension however, the sword logic is physics. Killing literally makes you more powerful. The more you prove yourself and kill, the stronger you are. Such is the war priest and oryx himself. You cannot fight oryx until you prove yourself with the sword logic.

      It is the same with killing Crota. Gatekeepers and Crota himself are so powerful that they cannot be damaged until you prove yourself worthy by killing a sword bearer and stealing his power.

    Star Wars is very interesting but I find that Destiny lore is more interesting! Star Wars is Star Wars and it's cool and all but knowing more in Destiny seems more impactful to me, because we already have a lot more context for Star Wars than Destiny. This was a great episode and I'm glad you share my opinion about the Sword Logic and it is very easy to explain why it is the answer.
    The Sword logic feeds the worm, the worm takes more, grows bigger and demends more. Hence we defeated and consumed our enemy, but since Guardians are not based on Worms we don't become Oryx haha. Great video btw! Love it. My question for you is:
    I would love to know more about the so called "Deep" and "Sky" but I think those concepts would come along as the "bigger picture" in this universe, similarly as we got the bigger picture in Mass Effect. So maybe we would get that closer to the ending of the Destiny universe, maybe 9 or so years from now with their final releases. What do you think?

      +15liran Awesome man, I agree with your interpretatino with how the guardians fit in to the picture. The Deep and the Sky have very little information about them, apart from their always being a cosmic war. I dont know if bungie will reveal more details about this, it may stay like that. As I feel it is another comment about our own world.... we keep fighting and continuing war, long after we have forgotten the reason. Great point about the nine, they sort of slipped off the radar completely, and Xur. I really thoughout there would be more info on Xur

    I believe that the doctrine of sword logic creates the natural law of sword logic within the hive world. So you use the doctrine to prove your strength, your ability to make your will reality, and in proving you are more powerful, you then create the natural law of sword logic and become more powerful.

    I've just done a binge on destiny lore, absolutely love it, your videos are great man! Can't wait to paraphrase some of the books of sorrow to all the flies i swat with magazines. If i can kill you, little fly, then you deserve to die. Haha. Evil as hell those worms (or wyrms) are though, so i wont actually quote them. Wonder if we'll ever get to encounter the deep itself, what on earth would it even be? Anyway, long live The Sky, The Traveler and The Guardians. I don't believe a word of this "the traveler is evil" stuff, though i respect the theories.

    Personally and through a lot of research in the book of sorrow I have deduced that; sword logic is the process by which the hive gain and distribute power, for instance: the worm in the hive is connected to the deep/ darkness and thus funnels immortality and power to its host via a price of tribute, tribute being light gained through killing. Evidence for this is that "light lives in all things, in all places". When a being is killed the light of that being is funnelled into the host and devoured by the worm inside them, this devouring is linked to the deep and thus the Deep gives them immortality and power. I believe it works like this as it reinforces what the darkness wants: a universe of utter perfection, and if you cannot kill enough to sustain your worm your obviously not equipped for this universe. Thus the Deep is satiated and the worm hungers on. AIAT

      And as for Auryx killing akka and becoming oryx via the sword logic or Auryx killing his sisters and gaining power. I believe that all the power that they have aquifer during their immortality and lifetime will be devoured by their destroyer thus you can cheat the system of tribute by; a thrall somehow killing a knight and thus gaining all of their power and ascending the ranks with a single murder.

    Wait, you said that the hive used swords to cut in and establish thrones in the "afterlife" right? So doesn't that completely explain how the taken work? Oryx simply waits until they die or kills enemies and when they are "taken" they are brought back?

    Like you I find the Star Wars lore fascinating, I can only see battlefront be the game that can pull me away from destiny, for how long I'm not sure. Regardless of which lore you choose to do I will keep watching.

Then again, maybe just for Zombies only, however I would likely only play with my friends on a Friday night (everyone bring your TVs and PS4s to my place lol). However, Star Wars will draw my attention! I am a big fan of Battlefield 4 and played that game a lot! So excited to play a game with a sci-fi Universe!

    Personally, I think I would enjoy your channel more as one that specialized in Destiny lore. I think the introduction of other universes would be overwhelming. However, I can easily see the appeal of wanting to grow and expand to different universes like star wars.

    The sword getting more powerfull is also reinforced by the mission the sword of Crota,where i think Toland sais something about it absorbing power and also later in the mission ur ghost sais its tracking the sword by the light of the guardians its killed,but how could the light be there if Crota derped around the moon killing guardians at least a century ago as most of Crotas story is forgoten and it is Erys who tells the vanguard most of the info.

    Love Star Wars myself, lol, use to read and release the old lore and timelines of the former EU. And relatively interested in what will come about with the new canon, if you use Wookipedia that be a good start, they are good at keeping up with canon material.

    I think it would be a good idea. I've always wanted to about star wars but I always feel overwhelmed with the lore. Especially if it doesn't intrude on destiny lore videos. I won't be playing the game so it would be even more beneficial for me.

    At 1 in the morning I'm having a brain fart about sword logic. I'm realising that it's a very real concept that can be applied to our lives (be prepared for crazy philosophy shit here). from my understanding of sword logic, one must constantly battle it's oposite form in order to survive, much like how oryx is a force of darkness that wages war against the light. if he is to fail in is campaign and is defeated then he will be consumed. If you think about it this is a very true concept of life. take someone battling with depression for example, for one reason or another they are (to put it mildly) unhappy. they have 2 oposing forces that are fighting to take the person, the dark and the light, happiness and sadness. in order to gain one you must defeat the other, much like how a guardian can become corrupted, and consumed by the darkness, this too could happen to someone falling into sadness, it can consume them if not fought. such as dredgen yor, he fought the darkness for many years and had the love of the people, but inside he was broken and he let the darkness take him and change him. then you have our own guardians on the other side of the spectrum, who were brought back having no memory of who they were or what had happened, and ended up rising above everything that faced them and defeated a god. from the way I see it we are guardians, we might not be fighting the hive or the fallen, but we each have both light and darkness inside us. in the end it's what we choose to do and how we see ourselves that determines whether our light shines like the traveller itself, or is taken by the darkness.
    sorry if that was too deep for a UA-cam comment, just wanted to share my thoughts.

      wow. I'm blown away. You describe the struggle of those of us that battle every day with the darkness very well. equating it to the Destiny universe in such a way helps visualize the constant fight one has on a daily basis. never apologize for going deep, no matter where you are or what you are doing. going deep is a lost art these days and nowhere appreciated like it once was.
