I got the outdoor mounting kit for them and they were easy to install. Once you download the app, it walks you through the very easy set up. The clarity, and range is awesome. Ok to attach to surface you need about 22 beers of multiple brands. You provided him with the best help. Got it. Just kidding so my cameras skipped all the naming part. Crap now I have all them by ss#’s. Not sure how it happened. And you had to go to the other connect smart kit to connect the 3 cameras. Man I tried them all. They just all showed up. Guess I’ll go back to square one. Thanks for your confirmation.
My zmodo camera Zp-IBH15-W not blinking green light after power up its still solid green. Thats mean its not getting ready for first setup(installation). Need a solution?
When i plug the cameras in I always get a flashing blue on one and flashing green on the other. Also I cant get the Zmd_sap to come up and yes i let it sit for 10 mins and still didnt come up.

Newer modems/routers that use the b/g/n or g/n mode instead of b or g only aren't going to work for most cameras. Get a router that has b or g only modes and WEP2 security. Had to learn this on my own, Zmodo tech support is lousy... non-existent really.

Which provides more download speeds so I upgraded my Wi-Fi modem.. I tried everything that I could find on forums to resolve the shoe.. But when I go into the app the zmd_sap will not connect to my wifi network.. I made sure I don't have a hidden network.. I changed the ssid names.. My network password is not longer than 13 characters.. I even change the wifi channels..nothing.. I tried to reset the camera... I am starting to think it could be something with my cell phone software that changed or something like that
No, the same thing happened to me. I moved to a different home, but could not get my zmodo cameras to work again. I am assuming this is the bug with these cameras.
@MrEltinieblas I found the solution.. if you have the same camera as I do one of the three cords has the reset button.. press that for 10 seconds or whatever to reset the webcam then you will be able to set it up again from the new router
+Simone Swindell in theory yes, I have my cameras in my house and outside mounted in high areas. I also have all my wires tucked and hidden. They would have a struggle to be able to cut wires or rip off the camera. By then I would have had there face on camera and cops on the way.
+Charlie Beagle I purchased them for $99 which was a good deal. If that is the current price spot the extra money and go with an Arlo system which you can find a video of on our channel as well. The Arlo has an alarm and cloud storage. Plus two way audio. -Tony
+Sheila Mailett I would power up the cameras and be as close as you can. It may take a while for the camera to fully boot up and broadcast the signal. Just keep refreshing your phone until you see it. Also on the camera lens the less inside of it should be blue when broadcasting a signal. I hope this helps.
your phone settings are set to not see NO internet devices im sure. i had a phone that wouldnt connect to devices that didnt have internet. something with older android os. its some where in settings tho.
Do not buy !! If you want to record your video... You have to pay a monthly fee to use their cloud storage (that is the only way to store) 100 bucks a year or monthly payments... SUCKS
It's not a scam lol. It says it if you read the advertisement. To keep up a cloud based server costs money because they will have to buy more and more and more servers to supply customers with. $100 a year for cloud storage isn't bad at all. Lol. That's only $8.30 a month. Even at $10 a month that's still not a lot compared to ADT or other security system company's.
Tony has left the channel but I still talk to him. He loves the cameras. Also Zmodo sent him a survey and he filled it out they sent him another camera.
Your video was great. These are advertised as wireless and they are NOT. The Wi-Fi connection is wireless, but if you are looking for a wireless security system look elsewhere.
I have had exactly the opposite experience with the customer service! THEY ARE TERRIBLE! I have the issue of the cameras constantly dropping off and I have called 6 times, sat on hold over 25 minutes EACH time, NEVER GET THROUGH...just get disconnected and have to call back again. I have the 8 camera set up and it is down far more than up...so it is useless.
I can't even get the cameras set up..... I have gone through the process 8 times. 4 times on funlux app and 4 on the zmodo app it can't find the cameras

The problem is the scanning code has to be in front of the camera, two of mine are 12 feet in the air , getting my ladder up in -20 degree weather is tough. But that’s my problem. Dude, you mounted the camera lens too close to your exterior house lamp. That is why the video looks so washed-out. The lamp is overloading the camera sensor.
still don't understand why go with wifi when you still have to run cables to give the cameras power .defeat the wireless purpose. until someone comes up with a why for the cameras to run its own power wireless cameras makes no sense
Each camera could be manufactured to have a rechargeable battery pack. Similar to a cordless drill. I agree, hooking the camera to 110 was/is challenging.
This system has many issues, you have to unplug your nvr if you have one, then you have to charge the cameras until the light is blue, then you have to go to your phone and hope that the signal from tour wi-fi is not switching between 2.4 and 4 gig there seems to be a problem if you have dualband wi-fi the signal will bounce and your camera's will not work, I have even tried remote assistance and the same problem persists, I enjoyed their products in the past, but these wireless camera's are not worth the problem or time it takes to get them to work, then they go out 10 months later, SHAME ON ZMODO AND THEIR DISFUNCTIONAL PRODUCTS

This is an old post but you should try a different connection method if you still have these cameras.

Try temporarily disabling the "DATA" on your phone, and re-enable it after the camera is signed on to your network.
