- DIY HANGING PLANT WALL! Here’s a cute home decor idea: minimal glass test tube propagation for small space living! Looking for a plant accent wall in your home? Here’s how to build a plant wall on a low budget! It’s the perfect way to add some greenery to your space!! I recently added this to our New York City apartment (it’s entryway/hallway decor), and I am obsessed! Looking for plant wall decor ideas? Look no further!
In this video, I share our current plant collection and how I created clippings for propagation. I do snake plant water propagation, money tree water propagation, pancake plant water propagation, jade plant water propagation, and more using various succulents and vines! The process is SO simple, and it’s really easy to get started creating a similar look in your own home. Below, I give you all of the materials you need to order and ways to properly clip and cut plants for your test tube holders!

I had a lot of fun learning more about my plants, and I worked hard to prepare for the clippings' cuts and care. I even got a few plant pieces from a friend and my mom to add to our growing collection! After all of the clippings were prepared, I made sure to properly clean out the test tubes and began taking a look at how I wanted all of the pieces to be arranged on the wall. I mocked it up in my Instagram stories to see what looked the most beautiful!
There was a bit of handiwork involved to get the test tube hooks onto the wall, but I was really happy with the look of the hooks that came with the test tubes (instead of using a command hook or a large nail). They’re small white hooks with 2 tiny nail inserts, so they don’t leave a huge hole in the wall. Altogether, the tubes looked great up against our white wall!
After the tubes were fastened onto the wall, in came the fun part! I placed all of the plant clippings inside the tubes, fixing and arranging them based on leaf style. I made sure to space out similar styles, so they weren’t all grouped together.
I finished off by adding some more water to the tubes, and I plan on keeping an eye on my wall daily to keep the plants’ water supply full and fresh!

Thank you so much for watching! I hope you subscribe to my channel for more videos.
Yessss! I was hoping to see this after I noticed the AeroGarden in your last video! What I love about this is that it's pretty inexpensive especially because it's minimalist by design. Great video!! I still hope you can convince your dad to do a voiceover for a storytime like others suggested last week :)
I suggested it and really want to see it too! 🤞
YESSS hahaha gotta work on that with him ❤️❤️❤️
Really neat and creative! Also I agree with the others- you should totally do dad does my voice over!! ❤️❤️
hehe love ittt
I love this idea! It is usually a good idea to let the end of the cutting calous over. They're less likely to rot.
Looks so good in your place! The fact that it's modular and so customizable means that it can really fit into the design of any home. Loved the video and I hope to see more! (and also please convince your dad to collab for a voiceover haha 😘)
THANK YOU!!! I have to convince him for sure.
Your editing skills and content is so inspiring 😍 thanks to you I started my own channel! Thank you Lucie 😍❤️

i love this!! Looks beautiful and I just love how you try to incorporate more and more greenery. And true many plants can live in water for a long time: Photos are a great plant for that

Yesss❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love plants!!!
Happy Weekend, Lucie!❤️❤️
Love how it's looking and especially digging the tiny hooks with the tiny nails! I'm so curious to see if the calathea leaf is going to propagate that way!
SAME!! I don't have much faith in the leaf honestly but it seems to be staying alive for now!!!
Love this idea so much! It's so customisable and creative!

ENJOYYYYY!!!!
Wow! You have really inspired me to try this. Any advice?
💚💚💚 this is very creative
Love it!!!!! I would really like to see an update :)
Does it matter what type of water you use for these Lucie? Would tap water from the sink be okay?
Yesss tap water!!! Almost every video I watched of plant propagation used tap 🥰
This is such a neat idea!!
What was Michael cooking in the kitchen towards the end of the video...?
That's such a great idea! Would you have to add plant food into the water?
I think you CAN (I've watched some videos where people dip the cuttings in honey or something else) BUT I also think it's okay just to let them live in water and give them fresh water every so often for new oxygen!
Could you do 30 days miracle morning challenge ? 😍🌞
Hey! I was wondering what the name of the plant after your jade plant cuttings is called?
Hey Lucie! Great video, how often do you have to change the water?
I've never been so early
I did something similar on my channel, and you can definitely do command hooks if you do mini vials! I did some 3 ounce vials with magnets on the back, and command fixtures with magnets. They’ve been up for at least a month so far. Great idea for larger props though!
omg, the last 3 minutes of that video you made was my favorite 3 minutes of youtube this whole year
I love it it’s so beautiful this is my inspiration for my bedroom. I am one of your hugest fan please respond to me!!!
Are the wall hanger things movable?
Can the hooks be removed if so how?
0:54 Does anyone know what that plant is called?? I recently got a cutting from a friend but idk what it is called :D
Inexpensive!
You could of used magents instead of making holes
Cute. A number of those plants could have been propagated directly with roots rather than in water…
sooo beautifull, I wouldn't be abble to do it so nice. P. S. :Please, don't use this scratching soud - some people are relly sensitive for it and it is something like spider on wall for arachnofobic people....

Oh yeah. Do you love me? 😍💋 💝💖❤️
Such a lovely video - ruined by obtrusive music
