A guy offered to sale me one for 50 bucks in about the same condition! Do you think it's worth it! It is complete with exhaust! It is the Italian made version!
There are 2 adjustments, one each end of the carb. I’m guessing one is the needle jet to either lean or richer the mixture. Does anyone know what the other one is for? If so, what appropriate adjustment?
Hey David. I just took apart my Thundertiger 61 and need a new piston ring. Or could i just make it with new sleeve and piston without ring? That's called abc right? Hard to find parts....Never mind i found it on ebay in the UK. 😀🇳🇱. The fitting of the piston and sleeve are pretty hard to do. How do you do it? Pistonrod and piston in first and slide the sleeve over it? Realy difficult. But getting it in with the piston in the sleeve and fitting it on the crank is not possible. I also see a little cutout in the piston ring. What is that for?
Hi can you help me I need some information on how to set up the carb? I have the same engine but I'm getting mixed info on how to turn it and whether the engine is clockwise or counter clockwise running?
Looking from behind the prop the engine rotates clockwise. I don’t own this engine but the other dozen or so I have usually have the same card needle adjustment. To start, close the needle, then open 2.5 turns. Choke to get fuel into the carb. Flip it a few times. Add glow plug heat and flip to start. Then turn in the needle so it peaks then back off 1/2 a turn or so. You want smoke out the exhaust. Don’t lean it too much or else the engine will get hot and die when you take off. Good luck.
Not to sound like a dick, but for airplanes that call for 60 size 2 stroke engines. All kits I have ever owned or plans specify the weight and engine range for them.
I just ended up with one of these. In the process of cleaning it up now. This gives me a lot to look forward to! Thanks!
Nice sound, I have the same, bought a few months ago but I’haven’t tested.

Good luck.
The instruction says 4 to 4.5 turns at the high speed needle. I have that engine and it works.
What size prop for breakin wood or plastic? Thanks
You can always go by what the manual states. Wood or plastic is irrelevant. I run 12x6's on my 60 sized engines.
what size plane would that be for
