This update isn't for me. The fact that I still have to use a 3rd party plug-in to put drums in a step sequencer (beat designer is God awful and outdated) or how about moving tracks from left to right on the mixer? There's 20 things that people have been talking about on the steinberg message board for YEARS that still haven't been addressed. Studio One is looking really good right about now
Think they need proxy files or something to speed up their VSTI like Halion, to speed audition and load times if presets. Or a fast browsing solution like Akia or IN, VIP

( a little off topic but didnt know were to ask ) I was just wondering and been asking my self for a while....how would you go about recording with Waves Tune RT and monitor the pluggin while recording ( not print )? Everytime i monitor through cubase i get this double voice effect ( i monitor external trough my 24pro dsp now ). Cheers
@Talking Leaf Media I am running Cubase 10.5 Pro on windows 10 (most likely the same scenario you were in). When updating to Cubase pro 11, does it download the whole >20 GB again or just the new files? Is it a smooth update or a completely new install? Thanks!
Question for you brutha? I just did the update for Cubase 11 Pro..now when I open up my 3rd party plugins..(izotope, waves ect) they are tiny and the ones that I can drag to get bigger won't fit in the window anymore..any fix you know of? Thank you..... Sean
Anyone else having trouble connecting to the license server? I can't complete maintenance tasks with the eLicence Control Center (PC, btw) nor can I connect to the server to upgrade my 10.5 license. Perhaps the server is overloaded on day 1?
Success, finally! My upgrade actually stalled halfway through, freezing my 10.5 license, which was somewhat scary. Kept trying the 'repair' option and it finally took. Phew.
Do you know if piano roll / note editor allows to fold to used notes only? I saw that feature was discussed in some forum. It could be useful to set a scale and limit notes to that while doing the melody
I believe it is one of the new features of the scale assistant. I don't have it in front of me, but there's a "snap to scale while playing live" checkbox. Or something like that under the scale assistant tab.
How did you get your markers to look like full rectangles? Mine are just little tabs... (which is why I had started using Arranger track to draw my song structure as nice colored rectangles)

Not True Pitch Bend Automation user to be in Cubase years ago. Did not know they took it out.

I have Waves RT, but I just use VariAudio within Cubase instead. So I couldn't tell you.

Hold alt (option on mac) and drag.

How would I preserve my preferences such as key commands, UI views and other settings without losing them?
