SO TRUE. I was busy in my life back in 2008 and didn't follow NCAAB; and didn't even know which school Curry played for in NCAAB. Now 2019, when i saw his highlight in the 2008 tournaments-againts GTown, Gonga; You could see that HIS TEAMMATES WERE LOOKING FOR HIM FOR EVERY POSSESSION. Mannn...HE IS SMART, and when other teams think they got their game trap for him-HE DISHED IT TO HIS TEAMATES. You could see his college teammates enjoy playing with him.
Also, he had the same style of shooting back then as he does now-but more refined and snappier now!

Fascinating how Curry is a 40% three pointer and 90% free throw shooter since entering NBA till present. This is why as great of a shooter Ray Allen is, Curry is like the God of Gods in shooting. Ray Allen is actually under 40% in three and only 80% from FT in rookie and has shot below 40 in 3 and 90% in FT many seasons in his career. Curry also shoots a ton of shots from ridiculous timing, distance, location and angle in huge volume, and STILL average 43% in 3 and 90% in FT in Career. A lot of other shooters shoot at ideal circumstances, so shooting is more of a result from consistency and repetition practice. Curry shoots differently each time, and that makes Curry probably the ONLY TRUE shooter in history, the only person who actually can feel the calculations and physics behind shooting by heart and control the ball the way he wants it. GOD of Shooting is meant to dominate basketball where it is a sports when shooting is what it takes to win.

Started in nba in 2009 curry revolutionized the game.
    And as comparison...
Curry...after 9yrs in nba got 3 rings (at 30yrs old)
Lebron..after 13yrs in nba got 3 rings (at 32 yrs old)
Kobe...after 14yrs in nba got 5 rings (at 32 yrs old)
Tim Duncan..after 17yrs in nba got 5 rings (at 38 yrs old)
Mj...after 14yrs in nba got 6 rings (at 35 yrs old)
Curry's stop of harvesting rings was due to team injuries.
With his leadership and scoring wit combined i believe he is already be considered as a hall of famer.

  • @wenkorento9935

His shot is different now. This vid shows a different landing and more of a traditional release. Now he is lower to ground and feet lands not awkwardly perhaps to save his ankles. And he is like pushing the ball more from his chest and releases early now . Amazing how his percentage didnt take a hit despite a change in mechanics

    • @derrickhoward1543
      @derrickhoward1543 2 роки тому +4

He does not push the ball from his chest. Once he releases the ball, he shoots above his head. He get the ball up from his lower body to his head so quick and releases the ball in a blink of an eye. It's all in one motion too. He's able to shoot over taller defenders so effortlessly because of his timing, his quick release, & because of his form. This is why you rarely see a defender block his jumpshot. Defenders could be right there contesting his shot and he'll shoot it right in there face like they're not even there. He's able to get his shot off with little to no space and everything. What's space for Curry would not be nearly enough space for others. It's insane. His shot is pretty as hell.

I'm no basketball expert nor a fan. However, I'm so obsessed with Steph Curry.
See, the thing is that he started his NBA career as an underdog who had to prove he's good...
He was physically disadvantaged. Therefore, what he offered was pure skills. And unlike height, skills are not genetically transferred.
Steph Curry is a phenomenon. I never watched a basketball game in my life, but I love the dude and everything about him. Keep up the good work Steph, you're making history while haters are watching. The only reason I'm interested in basketball is because of you.
