Just subscribed. This is driving me crazy, just received mine from Sweetwater 2 weeks ago and unfortunately we are in the process of moving so I can't open it up for another 2 to 3 weeks until we get to our new home! I will be watching all your upcoming videos and pretending it's me setting up my system LOL. Thank you for doing this...
Just put mine together on Monday. It’s a sweet little beast! I’ll definitely be watching your videos for tips. This is my first step into modular synths.
Thanks for taking the time to do this video. A few surprises. I wasn't expecting the synth to be pre assembled. I bought the Behringer system 100 bundle and it came as a separate case and modules. No big deal as I really enjoyed unboxing and deciding what order to insert the modules. Also surprised by how compact the 55 looks. I must admit that the thing looks beautiful. Have fun!
Another great video. I can hardly wait to see some technical videos with sound production on this baby. I have one of each of the modules (mostly) and love the way this works and sounds. Thanks O.Z. The best on UA-cam!
Tony, You're too kind. I'm planning the next video. It may well be focussed on stock sounds (e.g. trumpet sound) just to show how the audio and control signals would be patched for a simple sound. Perhaps after that I can do some "modular patching tricks" videos.
Thanks O.Z. I only speak the truth! Signal flow is such an important subject. Different routing schemes and cable management would be wonderful to see. Understanding cabling options is a great subject that others have not done much of. Your info is always welcome. Cheers@@ozhalljr
Oh cool! Congrats! And thanks for making this unboxing video. I've been wondering how they package all those modules. I'm glad it doesn't require much assembly. Have a great day!
Just got mine today. Your unboxing and assembly video was a big help. They forgot my candy though. Gonna have to speak with my rep. Thanks for posting this.
Good question but… Not cheaper. There are 38 modules in total. The cheapest module may be the Attenuators module. It is $39. The sequencer is $149. So for $1599, you could not buy all of the modules, much less the two cases @ $229 each.
i guess that S to V gate converter is your window into standard eurorack .... so put any of those close to it, in the bottom row. but there are a few system 55 modules that would be nice to get a second helping of down the road also.
hey, i heard that Behringer Syncussion SY-1 clone is going to be coming out in 80HP .... i don't know if you could squeeze one in for kick and snare, but that's going to be good....makes me think of three of them in one of those $90 curved racks...you would be set...@@ozhalljr
but one would be good too ....if you could stretch just kick and snare beats, slow over 16 steps, it would give the modular room to breath.....then it's all consolidated yet. @@ozhalljr
i have the Arturia Modular V Plugin ... i used that to make the lush synth sound on " Conventional Gruel " i can't afford Not to use plugins .... but i still can appreciate through a dash of envy.
me too.... but congrats, the System 55 has got to be the best analog modular deal on the planet.....that's the way to do it...buckle down and get it done. some people really hurt themselves with that type of stuff..@@ozhalljr
Mine too! Tell your rep that Bit O Honey is your favorite. I think the "only BoH" thing started for me when I emailed my rep ( Hi Andy Rice! ) "send more Bit o Honey". It has been kind of an ongoing thing since then. ( p.s. I think they have plenty :) )

Congrats on getting your system 55! I'm sure the suspense is killing you. I know you'll enjoy it when get settled! And thanks for subscribing!
Wow, I thought it was going to have all the modules in little individual boxes. This is really cool.
I imagined the same thing before I openned the box.
Same here!
Just put mine together on Monday. It’s a sweet little beast! I’ll definitely be watching your videos for tips. This is my first step into modular synths.
Cool. Post a video when you get something interesting going with it.

Thanks! I can't wait to do more videos on this system. I have a few of the system 100 modules. I'm pretty pleased with them.
Awesome 👍. Nothing better than unboxing a synth. Very cool 😊
Thx William!

Thanks Tony!
I’m on the back order list. Waiting patiently.
You're gonna love it. The good news is that they seem to be moving through the backlog. I ordered mine in mid April and got it in mid September.
Oh cool! Congrats! And thanks for making this unboxing video. I've been wondering how they package all those modules. I'm glad it doesn't require much assembly. Have a great day!
Thanks.
Pretty rad. I never thought i would say that about Behringer gear. Having the empty row to add in some other euro modules is a bonus.
Thanks Alan. I'm looking forward to filling it.
that’s where you’re supposed to put down your drinks! rtfm dude!
@@russ254 Haha!

Thanks . Hope you enjoy it!
You're gonna have so much fun with that! :D
Can't wait to do some more patching.
Nice construction video.
Thanks!
O.z.-Love it. so unusual unboxing! 😉
Thanks! 😃
thanks for the video. Does one have to purchase the patch cables separately ?
Yes. There may be a few cables included. I don’t think so. You definitely should budget $100 or more for patch cables.
So freaking cool!
Thanks. The price point/value of this system is amazing.
I wonder if its cheaper buying everything separate, modules, and cases, and power supply. I don't think the bracket is available though separately.

Yes, that’s what the S to V gate is for. I did add a second 960 sequencer on the bottom row.
can't tech an expert much i guess.
good move on the second sequencer, is it possible to configure two of them to 16 steep?..@@ozhalljr

the Syncussion SY-1 would let you detail morph your percussion to suit any patch ... those pups are trick.@@ozhalljr
I just got mine too. I need to upload my video.
Man I could use some help on making sense of this thing. lol
Congratulations! Stay tuned for more videos with tips on the System 55.

Thanks for watching! Check out my System 55 playlist.
P.s. I enjoyed your Bach on a Synth videos!

Great synth but not a nice color.
You sure lucked out on the candy, Bit O Honey is my favorite and I've never gotten a pack that's just that from Sweetwater.
