Most of the protesters here in the US have zero understanding of the complex history of the Levant and Israel specifically. Their only knowledge is what their organizers brief them on.
A lot of people may be misinformed, but I know that almost all of these protesting people just don't want any blood to be shed, want to stop suffering and want to stop war. I believe that is what they are protesting for. It is with good intent.
