Good points! I watched a video of my old F30 340i and felt like I never finished what I started. Based on your points, I will really consider trading my G80 back for a 340i to spark some more channel growth. It's a downgrade, but I would have so much more money to mod with haha

It’s crazy how the car prices are in the states compared to Denmark. Last year I bought a used 2018 120i m sport (f20 hatchback) for the equivalent of $40k (300.000dkr) and you can easily double that, if you want a 340i that’s for sure..
Ok, I see what you’re saying, and I get it’s a sellers market (do you, make that $$) however what turns me off a little bit about your channel and I’ve followed you since almost the very beginning, around 500+ subs, is that you make plans for your cars that you built and it never comes to fruition due to selling it. It’s like directing an epic movie with no ending. You have a beginning, middle and then oh here’s a new car. The only exception was the 328i which was AMAZING work and content from beginning to end, regardless of how slow it was. As a fan of yours, this is just my opinion, no malice or disrespect intended. Like you said, you have to do what’s right for you. You’ve reached 104,000+ subscribers because you followed what was right for you.
Sometimes you can’t predict the opportunities that will be provided to you, that’s life. You’ve got to do what’s best for you, with your experience when those opportunities arise. Those decisions you make won’t always make everyone happy, in fact the answer to making everyone happy is in fact: never. It’s impossible. You also have to understand that the “ultimate ending” that you have in your head about another’s build is subjective. 620whp was plenty for me, that was beyond what I was looking to achieve, and running a stock motor 340 at that power level is bound to create stress on other components then making said car have more issues and problems down the road, that’s just facts with modifying cars and creating unreliable circumstances. That risk is not yours to bare, that’s the owners (me). So financially, in the long run..without pouring LOADS of money into built motor, trans, axles etc on a car that I like, but I don’t love..is not wise. The “ultimate ending” sounds a bit emotional and tbh I try not to be emotional about these builds or cars. I’m here to experience them, do my thing and share that with the people that choose to follow.
The 340i/440i really is amazing value considering how easy it is to make huge power. I'm on a very moderate 450hp in my 2016 440i and it's plenty for me. Being a gran coupe, it really is the best of both worlds - practicality and fun in a beautiful package - I would go as far as saying this it the last generation of beautiful 4-series bmws. Next up is electric/hybrid which I don't even consider to be part of the car enthusiast scene. End of an era
Should try to build out a 320, I know tons of people have them and no one really mods them because of them being a base model. I think it would be cool to see how much power the N20 could make

I appreciate you taking the time to level set with us even though you didn't have to at all. More importantly, congratulations to you on acquiring this unicorn of a car. I sold a G80 to obtain a 750xi 16' with 13k miles just 6 months ago. The owner was in retirement, the vehicle was barely used, and was in immaculate condition. Although it's a limo, it came fully equipped (RSE, Night Vision, AutoBahn Package, B&W etc). But the best part of all was getting my hands on the N63TU2 and making the car even more of a sleeper than it somewhat already was. Granted it's no GTS, and I'm definitely an admirer, but suffice to say in a distant way, I understand the feeling of trading in to trade "up".

ya 620hp isnt alot in todays standards but me and my little stg 1 340 (awd) pushing 385hp I think that MOVES I couldn't imagine same exact car I have with 240 more hp.. that's nuts
Had a 2019 m240, stage 2. Drove it for roughly a year. Great car, not too many complaints. Extremely affordable, power gains were great, and the parts didn’t run you a arm and a leg. Fast forward, a year later I purchased a 2020 M4 Comp Heritage Edition. The two cars do not compare in the slightest sense. The m4 is far superior in almost every aspect, granted you pay the price for it. Nonetheless, b58 if you are on a budget, and want An affordable, reliable car that still has that fun driving experience.
I agree with you here. N55 here and I’m debating on if I want to go m340, f80 or just hold off and get into a g80 in a few years lol or even f10 m5. Got two kids so I need a sedan but want a fun sedan 😀

b58 motor is insane. great for a daily build as well IMO with very affordable price to performance mods. You can get more power putting $1k into onto the b58 than putting $5k into an EJ or some other motors.
M4 gts is a limited car. If you ever get a chance to own a limited car you always take it. Like you said. So many 340’s out there. Even the same spec. Can always buy another.
I love this channel. Makes me want to build a bmw again. I am currently building a Ford Roush Raptor, but I miss having a car to daily. You make me miss my bmw a lot! Lol
Has anyone had issues with their steering on the 340? My steering feels sticky and the wheel can follow a slight bend in a road without me touching the wheel. I have noticed this gets worse with the heat outside. If anyone has noticed this or has any tips on fixing/improving it, please let me know!
Im so happy with the b58 supra that ill choose it over the m2 m3 or m4. The M cars are always Marvel's in how they drive and the supra did even better than the m2 competition on nurburgring. Overall the supra name with the b58 and setup suspension for the price its one the best sport cars out there

I have a 21 Altima but I been debating on upgrading to bmw but I hear mixed reviews on older bmws so I started looking newer ones like 2019- 21. What is your take on the newer 340i or the 330i I’m not much of a racer I just want something that I can do a couple of add on and still be a daily driver on these charlotte roads lol What do you suggest?
It was wrapped, and I got way more money for that car than it was worth. 100% worth the sale, financially it was very smart. Like I said, I don’t get emotional over liabilities when moves like that can propel me into a better future. 😊
