Pro tip as long as you have the pod equipped you can be flying the complete opposite direction and still target tanks. Find a target, then turn towards them, drop the bomb. Then fly 90 degrees away allowing the pod to Maintain visual. You can fly away while bombing. It’s nuts

One engine being open and one being closed on the ground is actually realistic. When shutting down the f14s engines the starboard engine was shut down first, but because of how the hydraulic systems were set up, (I don't fully understand how it works) it gets stuck in the open position while the port engine goes to the closed position before shutting down. If you look at pictures of the f14 sitting on carrier decks, you'll notice that they all will have their engine nozzles in this configuration

Additionally, they can be closed manually without the use of power. One reason for them being open can also be due to maintenance.

If the target is far away it can take a bit of time for the seeker path of the radar to go over the target. Your radar doesn't scan the entire area at once. It goes from left to right, top to bottom. You have to wait for the target to be on the good line for the radar to lock it.

"Thrusters"... the F-14 doesn't have thrusters, it has engines.
The International Space Station has thrusters. The F-15 STOL/MTD has thrusters. The F-14 does not. You meant nozzles
