I swear every video of Keiynan's is just so bloody sweet. He honestly just seems so so genuine and kind and wholesome. Gahh, watching his interviews makes me feel like a warm hug 🌞
The only thing I don't agree with him is that he said "he identifies as a gay man" although he are attracted to men and women. I know I don't have any right to speak about other person's story but in my opinion, it is kinda "biphobic" a little bit. Because if you are attracted to more than 1 genders but say like "it is such a little attraction so I don't think it is bisexual" is a biphobic opinion. Being bisexual is not only as "being attracted to men and women as 50/50", it can be attracted to other people as different aspect, such as being attracted to men than women, being attracted to nonbinary people and men but not women, being attracted to men, nonbinary people, and women at the same, or being attracted mostly to women but sometimes attracted to women or nonbinary folks ... There are many ways to be a bisexual person, and being bisexual is not just being attracted to 2 genders that are "male" and "female". Bisexuality can mean as being attracted to more than one genders or/and being attracted to the same gender(s) and the different other gender(s).
I understand this perspective, biphobia is very real and alive. However, I really think it's important (especially as gatekeeping in online lgbtq+ spaces runs rampant) to let people identify themselves with whatever label(s) they like. I don't know that I'd call one (seemingly very self aware) person identifying as gay, despite multi-gendered attraction, biphobia. That's just the word he likes, and feels the most accurate for his personal experience in this moment. He (or anybody else) doesn't owe anyone a label that fits a perceived experience. There will be (and are) other bisexual people in the limelight who wear the label with pride, because they like it, and it suits them. And hopefully those people can be taken seriously, and respected in their bi/pan identities. Your english and grammar were great, as far as I could tell! (Though I have pretty terrible grammar) :-)
@iamnoone8800 If you listen to him, he also said that he may be "pansexual" and what you are describing sounds more of the pansexual identity. So what he is saying fits him. And that's what he chooses to call himself.
