Can't wait to see the follow-up videos. Very respectful from both sides, the gentleman seemed very pleasant every step of the way. Hope the best for both
The mix of cards is really interesting and makes me wonder how he came across all of this stuff. It isn't like he has a bunch of older stuff because he had some huge current year stuff mixed in. It seems like he probably bought a ton of singles, online and at shows, maybe even at peak values.
Breaking it looks like. If he gave up his bigger half for $32.5K he definitely got worked as long as the estimates are correct. The other half that Trike didn't buy, he would definitely have a hard time fetching anything in the neighborhood of that. But it seems like he will probably just continue to buy and invest his money into it which is okay. He gets some fulfillment from the hobby and he's able to get some of his money back out of it and do cool stuff he wants. I 100 percent doubt the seller came out even or ahead on this deal. But that's the nature of selling your stuff to someone who is trying be a professional at making money off of this stuff.
Oooo the connections are crazy cool. I've seen a fellow gentleman called RGL pull these cards in his breaks! Both from my home state of WA. Awesome video!
Seemed like a good dude. Sorta confused how he had that much ultra modern and then just wiped it all out? Maybe a quick pack rip addict? Just got in extremely deep and needed out.
@@kilkennybrian914 not arguing that. Just saying it’s incorrect to say “he got in extremely deep and needed out.” He would’ve been perfectly fine not moving this stuff and is still in the hobby
@@TRIKESportsCards Oh yeah. Didn’t seem he needed the money. Nor that he didn’t love the hobby. Just more sometimes it’s just good to “reset”. Clutter can get overwhelming in the card world. I’m just guessing from afar though lol.
where do you find guys like this who just have thousands of cards and want to sell bulk? i would love to just get hired by one of these guys and just sell the cards for them while getting like a cut of each sale
Fantastic, Troy! Really enjoyed this. Also, very important to have knowledgable mates such as Ty that can offer their thoughts. Look forward to seeing follow-up videos on this, and hope it all works out. Great stuff. 👍
Awesome video! Not to shabby when your phone a friend is Ty from Chasing Cardboard, he gave really good advice. Glad you got the deal done at the end. Hopefully you do well with the Collection.
Glad to see you made a deal happen my dude ! It looked like a great collection to grab for sure. Awesome to see you touch base with Ty with advise on it, he's the man with huge type deals like this. Looking forward to follow up videos seeing how you did on this. Great video bro !
Dude I get so excited when I see you posted a new video. I feel like a learn a whole months worth of information in less then an hour. Love the vids bro keep it up
Nice pickups. Hopefully, you can double your money or at least close to a double up. But it is a lot of work. I have an eBay store with over 35k cards listed and that took me awhile to do myself, and I still post cards daily.
I like to buy lots of cards pre-2020. After 2020 the cost to obtain these cards (breaks, ripping boxes, bought as singles during the peak) go up so much that the seller needs to lose a lot of money to make a deal that would be worth your time.
First off great video! Question. Why didn’t you go after the big stuff after you hammered out the 3 rows? Did you try to get it and just not include in video?
Man just gettin a quick snippet of some of the higher value stuff, there is some absolute monsters and I’ll be honest, u and I both know that u will b able to turn a great profit off buying everything @ like a little south of $100K
Can't wait to see the follow-up videos. Very respectful from both sides, the gentleman seemed very pleasant every step of the way. Hope the best for both
Really appreciate the kind words! He was a great guy and I’m definitely happy with the deal
Well put yes for sure
@@TRIKESportsCardswhy delete my comment letting you know my collection is for sale?
@@mrbiglicks8267 cuz nobody cares
This guy clearly bought into a bunch of RGL’s breaks, I remember him pulling that insane LeBron patch and the Stroud 1/1 kaboom
Troy you keep crushing it. Loved watching this one.
Chasing low balls 😂
Uh oh Ty!
Joining soon 🙏
Collaboration video????? 😀
Trike: i risked everything buying 10k sports card collection.
Trike 2 weeks later: i risked everything buying a 100k sports card collection

Hes for major money it looks like that helps.

Seemed like a good dude. Sorta confused how he had that much ultra modern and then just wiped it all out? Maybe a quick pack rip addict? Just got in extremely deep and needed out.
Great guy! He definitely didn’t “need out.” Just wasn’t going to go through the trouble of selling all that himself
@ but he got it all by ripping a ton of packs no? That’s not a purchased collection iMO

Great video, Troy. Kudos to your girlfriend for being supportive and helping you with this.
Sounds like me when I needed to make space at home. Sold off 15 long bins of comics but still continued to collect. Fun times different hobbies 😊

Cut the man a check that’s a beautiful deal
Ehhhhh not quite it has to be like love 100/100 from both side

Awesome pickup. Thank you for showing the behind the scenes. I am looking forward to the follow-up videos you will make.

Lets talk about your hero sidekick. You're lucky to have her support. Congrats on the deal.
I watch chasing cardboard but your show just showed up in my feed and I love it. Keep doing your thing.

Loved the video!! Your storytelling is Top Notch!! Can't wait to see the follow up!!
Wow! ⚾️⭐️🔥
That was a massive collection
Why didn’t you comp some of the big stuff before you got there?
Dam that seems like a crap ton of work but seems like you can definitely make some money. A couple of whatnot sells are you’re golden.
you should turn this into a series and document how much you make from this collection and how long it takes
Congrats on getting it done.
Williams represent! Great vid, really enjoy seeing your transparency during negotiations.
Congrats on the HUGE purchase. Looks like a lot of work, but knowing you I have the least doubt in my mind you will come out with positive results.
Awesome video. Fair negotiation all around. I can’t wait to see the videos on selling this.
CHASING CARDBOARD!!! would love to see you and Ty collab sometime!!

Wow what a legend. Now we need a full breakdown of the collection
Can't wait to see the grind of moving this collection!
Appreciate these videos!

Awesome video bro. This was great content!
I live in Seattle
Very cool video. Fair on both ends! Question, how would a formal agreement work? Would love to know!
My counter offer is a Kobe Bufkin
Any tips on growing my collection ( I do football)
This is business making it work for you profit wise and fair for the seller.
What in the world lol, never would’ve guessed a local video. I’m near Bainbridge lol
What was the Bufkin?
the art of the deal, another great video
I'd love to know how much he's dropped on breaks and boxes to have that many cards. Probably claimed back a very small portion of it with the sale!
Good for you. This is a dream
Wow. Just, wow.
Omg bro that’s crazy
Congrats
I think this guy buys into the RGL breaks cause that 1/1 kaboom was pulled a couple weeks ago
