Thanks for the best video on hooking up the petal commander. One thing that you didn't mention is leaving your driver side open until the ECU. A good sign that that's completed are the overhead lights go out. Then unplug from the throttle and start installation. Petal commander told me to pull my vehicle over before switching settings. Never make changes on the fly. It can cause the vehicle to issue a code with the engine light coming on or cause the petal commander to malfunction. I have extremely severe neuropathy from cancer treatments (Chemotherapy). I no longer have the strength in my fingers and hands to remove the throttle cable. Terribly aggravating. I have a friend at meineke muffler who will hook me up Tuesday. By the way. My car is a 2018 Chrysler 300C Hemi. I'm looking forward seeing the improvements on the street and dragstrip. Again. Great informative video. Thanks.
Hi David, Wes here. I am new to your channel thanks for good info. I just bought a 2014 Tundra back in December and love it, it is my first full size truck. I had a 2005 Tacoma before and had that for 11yrs with 210,000 miles on it when I sadly traded it in. I will say I think that 4.0 liter was better then the new 3.5 liter Tacoma's, especially with that throttle response. But anyway, about the peddle commander, My truck threw a engine code, and said traction control was off, and had no power. I never change the settings when I am driving. I did disconnect the positive terminal for about 10 minutes. When I started truck back up it started quick and shut off, I waited a few seconds and it started up fine. I was afraid I messed my truck up. I did turn commander off. I havent turned on since for last couple of days, afraid too. My truck seems fine, but a little shy to try again. I have heard some people that are on UA-cam saying same things. What is your thoughts. Sorry for getting so detailed in this message.
I heard that it was not recommended to switch over to different modes which driving. It was suggested to switch modes when the vehicle is in park. Is this true or false? Thank you for your very informative video. Keep doing more.
I was told by padel commander pec-pc07 is compatible with my 2005 chevy colorado 3.5 they took me through the steps for the installation but as soon as I turn on the truck the check engine light comes on and yet they keep telling me it's compatible I'm stuck at this point may need to get a refund.
Are you still using the pedal commander? I just got mine today and I saw your video about the pedal commander dieing on the freeway. If I had watched your video yesterday I never would have bought it. That's a scary thought having it die lie that
Nice video I was looking at that one and the Sprint booster don't know witch one to buy and I have seen engine light on some video is on because of it do you think it safe for the vehicle let me know thanks
Did you have 2 give your pedal commander bluetooth device a name? Mine is hooked up but the bluetooth app wants me 2 give the device a name. I don't know what to do!
Phil O I’ve had no other issues so far with the new one, yes I do think about it when I’m on interstates because it was scary but luckily it was late at night when it happened to me and not a lot of traffic.
Phil O I cant really say about mpg because I’ve added so many options to my truck that are wind drag and weight. I’m getting about 15 mpg. When you get down to it the transmission and motor just isn’t right in this new generation Tacoma’s.

Ive started not changing settings while truck is running as well. Art this time Ive had no issues with pedal commander or my Tacoma.
I gave u a Aplus!
Just bought one for my tocoma its a 2017 and enjoy it so far, a lot of fun to drive
I heard that it was not recommended to switch over to different modes which driving. It was suggested to switch modes when the vehicle is in park. Is this true or false? Thank you for your very informative video. Keep doing more.
I would say your right,, that’s its best not to switch modes while driving. Ive stopped messing with it while the truck is going down the rode.
You get A+
They fixed that for 2020 model. Mine is perfect and no need to spend extra $$ on aftermarket accessories
Great job and info!

It threw my CEL today
Dude... you go from standing outside to ? What are we looking at?

They warranted it and the new one never acted up it worked fine. I sold the truck and let it go with it.
David, what about a long term review, it’s been a year since this video and just wondering. Also, did you ever look into re-gearing to 4:88’s ?
Yeah long term. I'm interested.
You are not supposed to change modes while the truck is moving
Nice video I was looking at that one and the Sprint booster don't know witch one to buy and I have seen engine light on some video is on because of it do you think it safe for the vehicle let me know thanks
I don’t know about safe for the truck, I do think more people go with the sprint booster. I’ve not really had any issues with my pedal commander.
I just put a leveling block on the front. The TRD pro are already lifted inch and half.
Does it still work with your truck or has your truck ecu started learning it and making it not work
Do you unhook it when you take it in for service at Toyota or just turn it off?
I need one for 17’ taco
Did you have 2 give your pedal commander bluetooth device a name? Mine is hooked up but the bluetooth app wants me 2 give the device a name. I don't know what to do!
Never mind I figured it out, bluetooth is working now.
how do you like the pedal commander? just ordered mine for Tacoma should be here this week! and does it void factory warranty at all? thanks!
Joseph Welborn I like the pedal commander, it does a great job. I don’t know about factory warranty.
What phone holder are you using ?
Your not supposed to change anything while the truck is moving. That's probably why you're having problems buddy.
I actually sold the Tacoma I just couldn’t take that transmission shifting. Thanks for commenting
Have you had any other issues with this mod? You’re not worried about it malfunctioning again while driving? Sounds dangerous.
Phil O I’ve had no other issues so far with the new one, yes I do think about it when I’m on interstates because it was scary but luckily it was late at night when it happened to me and not a lot of traffic.
David's Family, hobbies & adventures. Yeah... and this actually has helped your MPG positively?
Phil O I cant really say about mpg because I’ve added so many options to my truck that are wind drag and weight. I’m getting about 15 mpg. When you get down to it the transmission and motor just isn’t right in this new generation Tacoma’s.
Ok thanks but your video it make your transmission shut down you and other people had the same problem with it just wanted to know but thanks again
