He should have used his blinker but in no way is that a cutoff. If you never flash he was accelerating away from you and it would have had zero impact on you. You flashed him and got the attention you wanted.
Why were you trying to catch his attention? He cut you off but you didn’t even have to touch your brakes. Like be for real, what’s the purpose of flashing your high beams other than to get a reaction from the other driver. The other driver is wrong 100% but you flashing your high beams after he was in your lane was completely pointless and would have avoided this road rage incident. Just be the bigger person and let it go because you don’t know if the other person will take it to the extreme and pull a gun on you.

What would happen if you didn’t flash him?? No brake checks/road rage. You flashed your beams because you wanted his attention and you got it.
