Loved this interview and how yall just sat back and let Dejounte tell his story... 10/10
They looked so impressed with this interview.
Anyone else watching this because he got a baby on the way with Jania?? My good sis upgraded big time he the first REAL MAN jania ever been with
Great interview....🙌🏿🔥💯
Stak and Matt chemistry is shown in this interview, cause Matt is usually the a mic, but he let Stak lead this one for odvious reasons...PEEP GAME!!! LOVE YOU BOYS
Stack leads when he knows the person. He sit back and listen when he dont know the person. Stak said it himself
Respect to these two gents for a great program -always!
Facts!!
...yup...Stack usually just trying To stay Awake.
What are the obvious reasons?
Props to Dejounte for giving Kawhi his props. It sucks how it all went down at the end for Kawhi with the Spurs. But in that short time Dejounte and Kawhi played together, Kawhi was a great mentor to him. To tell him to focus on making the All-Defensive Team was such great advice and it worked out. Murray was an all-star after that, and the rest is history.
Sucks for spurs. Didnt suck for kawhi lol. He went and got another ring
I don't a know what ❤to think about this but I'm ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😮❤😮😮❤❤❤❤❤❤ 1:25:10 😅❤❤ I just need ❤

That spurs organization deserves way more respect
Wow. I think I’m a Dejounte fan now, Kobe would be proud of this kid. Spoke so well the entire interview. This and the Magic interview are the best interviews you’ve done in a while.
Bro just sounded immature to me
@@chrisroberts7017really?
Why everything gotta be about kobe?
Spoke so well? What language?
@@Ocean77x41 why not?
I love this dude now. he actually knows what life is and how lucky he is.
I felt that my son made it part 2 the core
He don't know sh!t
He knows what life is? Elaborate on that if you don’t mind. I would genuinely like for you to explain to me or show me what part of the video shows him proving that because I can’t seem to find anything in the video that shows him “knowing what life is”
@@John-qq6sb you’re lost
@@tropicanacookies1092 no… I’m not actually. I’ll wait for you to respond to my comment though? As in an answer. Not just a stupid response saying you’re lost because that literally does nothing lol
Dejounte Murray is real one never knew his story. He definitely is real one and he's very well spoken and humble. I'm glad he was able to overcome his situations and persevere and become a star in the NBA and a better man in the process. Much respect to him and I'm rooting for you bruh. Stak and Matt thanks for having him on
I knew him since we was kids, a lot of people will think it’s cap that he was on the block at 10 11 years old, but he really was outside with the gang members early. His name in the hood is baby boy cause he was always the baby in a group of men. He didn’t gas nothing up in this interview. I can vouch on that. A lot of the homies he talks about in Prison are my guys too. Kas facing 60 years they talk every chance they get. I’m happy to see bro doing it for his family especially his momma, she was the first female blood in the state of Washington, real OG. Love Auntie Shamika.
How is he humble ???
@@themagician2062 thats crazy, u hope though nobody brings him down or gets him into trouble.
@@inevitableexpertise1016how is he not humble?
big facts i assumed he grew up in the suburbs with personal trainers n shit meanwhile homie did more dirt than me
One of the humblest, most genuine, most chill players I have ever seen. Since 2016 been the same, never added a cheat code to his game. Just love how hearing his story he really just like one of us, like I appreciate when a dawg is just so blunt and real with the story, that it feels like they talking like they're your fam. Truly players like him are one of a kind, never seen much work as hard or grind through adversity as Dejounte.
This was one of my favorite interviews ever!!! Love Dejounte and his unapologetic attitude!!
Respect to D Murray ! He is really mature and great person.
I feel like he been needing to get all of this off and Stack & Matt were the perfect ones to chat with
Hearing these players stories is very interesting. They all had such interesting journeys.
I would have paid $$$$$ for this interview. This was hands down the best interview I’ve seen from a Athlete/human in such a long long time. Gonna get my hands on dis man’s jersey.
Literally me today I’m in Australia tho so that shipping fee is just hectic
Me to...I'm getting that MAN JERSEY!!!
Glazing
This is why athletes having their own platform is important....very good interview
I didn't know Dejounte was this real and down to earth, much love to this guy, and I truly wish him all the best going forward.
This dude a real one. Very authentic young brother right there! Props to Stak and Matt. Y'all got one with this. Amazing episode. God bless you Dejounte. You got yourself a lifelong fan homie 🙏🏾
Dejounte "Baby Boy" Murray is from my neighborhood, one of the coldest young Seattle cats been watching him since he was in middle school hella proud of dude. Great interview!
Dejounte a real ass dude bro. Not no nepotism kid with the painted white fences, red barbecue sundays and the golden retriever… This dude put in the work forreal. 🔥
Seattle legend! Thank you Dejounte for representing the state of WA so eloquently and being the pro that you are 🤝🏽 Beach Boyz 4 Life!
Swear I thought bro was from Philly thanks for the lowkey clear up 💯
Beyond happy to have this guy on the Hawks. We needed this man mentality
Me and you are the only ones I saw in the comments from the we talk hawks family. dj's our leader he maybe the reason Trae has regressed because dj is a true humble leader he is greatful to be in the league and I feel Trae is entitled. Dj give his soul for a win Trae gives his all for his stats!
@@Oldschool811 yea unfortunately I have to agree...Don't want to seem like hating on Trae but he came up spoiled and privileged compare to DJ. We Talk Hawks taking over
I didn’t know much about Dejounte. After hearing this interview I’m a fan. He’s wired right.
All the best to him. Would love to see him do really well in life.
Probably one of the most authentic interviews I’ve seen.
Authentic? Murray went from praising the Spurs the day he was traded and now he talking alot of BS about them. Straight hater and salty AF just like Jackson. That's not authentic, IMO.
@@latinonoir your salty asl DJ a real one a San Antonio has never been good to no one he’s lucky he’s on atl now
@@Bobby12373 LOL, good to no one? Say that to Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, Bruce Bowen, George Gervin, Avery Johnson, Steve Kerr, Malik Rose, Michael Finley among others who THRIVED under the Spurs and won rings. You don't know what YOU'RE talking about son.
@@latinonoir you can still praise and job and share your personal experiences. You didn’t say the spurs organization was bad, he said they were a good organization but he felt like in certain situations he was done wrong. You can feel that way about any job. Like I said authentic interview giving behind the screens insight that normal ppl don’t see.
@@latinonoir you act like you work with the organization and was at all the practices and games. You don’t know how things are run behind closed doors.
Dejounte one of the realest the NBA ever seen, as a Spurs fan I loved watchin him play for us🙏🏽 Will always be a fan no matter what team he play for
So lucky to have in ATL 🙏🏽
Pop really be making me lost like bruh u traded away your best player in Dejounte
@@EPIC1255 yeah I feel u but i think Dejounte also wanted to be moved tho he just didn’t really fit the timeline anymore plus he was good enough to where we wouldn’t get a high draft pick but didn’t have good enough surrounding pieces to go on a playoff run
Same here bro 💯
@@EPIC1255 bro we’re trying to get wembanyama 😂 that’s probably the real reason we traded him
Me and baby boy go way back since 6th grade. I always knew he had something special and I remember telling him all the time. I’m glad and happy to see him grow and be successful! All love fam #Tukwila
Met him 8th grader when he transferred to Aki, his name would always be on the attendance sheet but he would never come lol.

Really like this kid even more now. Always new his story, but hearing from his mouth, you can see and feel his growth, and I respect it 💯 Rooting for bro!!
One of my favorite interviews you guys have done. I love how open he was with y’all and how it just seemed to flow. It’s further proof that you never know what someone has been through or is going through. It feels like people forget these athletes are human beings first and while they can make a lot of money, it comes with a lot of strings at times. I also respect how he’s given his people opportunity, not just the money so others can have access to their dreams too.
The only thing I took from this interview is…Dejounte is a real one! 🔥🔥🔥
This sounds like a confession
His voice and demeanor make you listen to him closely
Always happy to see a young black man coming from the mud and flourish
This podcast a testament to why this young man one of my favs ⭐️
One of the best interviews I’ve seen on here. Young boy been through a lot and still held his head high. Salute!
Another great interview..Murray was too real and shoutout to matt and stak for letting him talk💯. Now get Kawhi it’s gotta happen shit gone break the internet😂
I appreciate interviews like this. I love learning real ones stories! Would have never known how deep and mature this rock of a young man really is. This is "All the Smoke"!!! I really rock with Matt and Stephen. Keep on bringing it! Love this.
Dejounte Murray is the man. I love his authenticity one of the best interviews I've watched.
This might be top 5 All the Smoke interview. Great questions, great answers and I got to learn Dejounte's story. Job well done.

Amazing Story, Happy he shared a glimpse of what he went through. Some of y’all bashing him for sharing his experience and how he felt when y’all don’t know what actually goes on behind the scenes. Keep being great DJ🖤
This feels like me speaking in front of a mirror. He’s so real and authentic when he said real ones know each other I understood exact what he meant
Dejounte down to earth on the real. Hearing his story only opens for how he is as a person and where he comes from. He’s personally one of my favorite players plus one of the most underrated. Him and Trae will be a great backcourt years to come.
This is a great episode. Know more about Dejounte. These platforms is are important to the athletes. And as somebody with hooped, these stories are important for up and coming hoopers
Great episode!!! I was already a fan of Dejounte but now I’m even more a fan!!! Thank you!!!
One of my favorite interviews y’all have done and he isn’t even a huge name YET! Love this conversation Kings. Y’all did it again!! Peace!
Man great interview, DJ is establishing himself and him allowing us a look into his life is a pleasure to watch and hear, to be so young and to have his presence of mind, even as he recollects on the past you can tell how valuable he treated life through his comprehension and perspective on his view, and being able to express himself emotionally is also very refreshing to hear
Top 5 interviews y’all had. Dejounte a real one great mix of guys 🔥💪🏾
Learned so much about Dejounte's story! Rooting for you brother!
This was a good interview!! I was following DJ his 2nd year in San Antonio til now! Just listening to his story made me love him more! Growing up from where he was til now is definitely awesome! We love you here in ATL ❤❤ keep shining we got your back!! 💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This interview made me a fan of this young brother, his game is tough but, his story his demeanor, he is blessed I want to see this brother win
This is my new favorite episode. Murray is now my favorite player. His story is amazing!

Easily one of the best ATS episodes. Top notch questions from Stack & Matt as always, and man, what an incredible story Dejounte has. Without this platform, we probably would've never heard his raw, heartfelt, personal stories. Overall, this was just a masterpiece of how an interview should be conducted: personal, uplifting, and 100% authentic. Also, really appreciated the Kobe love at the end as well. Keep it up fellas!
Watched this whole interview start to finish - what a journey. Probably my favorite NBA-related interview of all time
I absolutely love that this man is on my favorite team! Not only is he a dawg on the court but an incredible guy, wow. I'm so excited to see his future impact on the Hawks & the city of Atlanta as a whole!
I’ve been wanting to hear his story for a minute. Glad you guys had him on 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.
Right, muscle time
I was disappointed with the antics during the summer league, but I really appreciate hearing his story.. Gave me a great deal of understanding/perspective of his character and who he is as a person💯 He solid fasho👊🏾💪🏾💯 #Respect
Fuk dat he cappin he did/said some bull shit to lil Paolo and I knew he did the whole time, I dont fw D.Murray after that summer league shit, he contradicted himself like 3 times in 2 sentences that was bull shit D.Murray started that shit, and i knew he did the whole time.
He just taught me that, doesn’t matter how much money you have or how great your life is stay humble/grounded & love the people that are close to you. So thank you Dejounte Murray.
Great show, I love how y’all and Knuckleheads get us that inside perspective on how ppl be! I always watched DJ cause I’m an Oregon guy and we got that NW connection, but now I’m all about him even more!
