What he said about Kobe was so spot on. It’s the fact that things came up in his life and career that other people tried to use to define him, and he always took the reigns of his own destiny when those moments occurred. Dude was able to write his own story during and after basketball through his sheer force of will, creativity, and heart. It’s not talked about enough
The player who made the most of his career. Yes, there are players who had better careers overall, but they were uniquely gifted. Kobe did it through sheer will and work. There were bigger guards, faster guards, more athletic guards, better 3pt shooting guards, but he eclipsed them all over his career.
