My son, Kai did the original animation series for the Prism Website, with some `little’ drafting design from me 😊
I’d love to know how many have watched these over the years

I am in my 60s and have been flying a stunt kite for years. This video is great as it points out some new skills I need to practice. I am excited to see the advanced video!

I was attempting to fly my kite in winds gusting at around 20 mph, using a 150 lbs Dyneema new line. I started flying it and after about only one minute of flying time, both lines broke almost simultaneously. I replaced the line with a 190 lbs Dacron braided fishing line from Bass Pro Shop.

Outstanding instruction! Thanks very much for making this video available. I've flown my sport kite about 3 times now and have been struggling with how to make the moves and especially how to land safely. (Have already broken a few spars!) This is a tremendous help!

Thanks Kiteguy! I started my flyin' about the turn of the century, with Flexifoils, and back then, the "other" competitor was Prism! I suppose some folks are wondering why are they 'so expensive", I got into a 35$ kite, which works, but theur communications aren't doing the same! I love that bridle lock, and mostly, the sketches for the Lark's Head knot had me spun around a bit! The Video knowledge base and explanations are Phenomenal! I had no clue what any of the names of the stunts are, and I just learned the "punch" Looking forward to more from you guys! ( Yes James Holden, I believe the new infos would be the same as " back then"- I'm recovering from a heart attack, and the docs are loving this plan of excersise! ( I'm 63! XD

A very professional video. I'll let you know how worthwhile it is when I get back from my first successful flight. I watched the video because I was having trouble keeping the kite in the air.

Great stuff, 690th Up-thumbed, saved, subscribed, all-belled. i practiced all the techniques in different wind conditions, plenty of times. Worked my way up many of the advanced moves. Next is night flying with LEDs mounted. All I need now is a kite, otherwise it keeps looking like 'Speed-Tai-Chi,' depending on wind speeds, of course.

We ordered a prism kite a few days ago and have a few questions.
    1) is this video a good tutorial for a beginner?
    2) I noticed that people use straps on their wrists, is this something that you have to add on to your lines? I don't recall that being included in the purchase of the prism quantum kite.
    3) we purchased a 10' tubular tail for his Prism Quantum, would it behoove him to learn the basics first then attach the tail later on? Thanks for your advice.

I assume many of the techniques here would apply to the Perter Powell Dual line stunt kites?

How do you set a parafoil...There's a line in the middle. i dont know how that mess of string goes. Really just hook the 2 strings to the kite?????lmao
I used to have a spectra and a cheap diamond shape.,,,you get from walmart.
Both were dual lines...it didnt have problems with the spectra..in light
    or heavy wind.
i actaully put heavier strings on it..to fly in 10-20 mph wind..when it's too
windy to fly my nitor R/C airplanes.lmao
I would get DRAGGGGGGGGED. I could lean back at almost 45 degree..
the kite would hold me up or drag me.lmao
I currently have a 42" prism ...I cant get to fly...no matter how I adjust the strings.
It's been in the closet for years.... I do miss flying my kites. i did every stunts or
patterns you can imagin...i can even make it so a sort of stall, flat spin...
But for some reason i cant get the in the closet to fly...it's still NEW. It hasnt
    seen real flying...
For some reason the kite will want to fly Towards me...then it'll just fall out of the sky...
But If i make change the AOA...it wont fly either .lmao
It acts like a brick...i was in 15 mph wind....
i used to take my old stunt kite in light breeze...Plenty of people would be out playing
soccer. freeze bee. etc....becuase the wind wasnt high....My kite would still get good
strings tension. People didnt mind me flying above them...becuase it was a daily
event at the local park.lol i didnt crash and it was above their head.
I basically flew my kite over a soccer game. It was part of the game.lmao

Just tried to fly my Prism Quantum kite yesterday. Failed miserably. Should have watched this video first. Very informative. I'm going to try again soon hopefully with better technique learned from this video.
