Take some wire, coat it in rubber, add a little extra rubber on the ends and, voila, a really handy product folks will buy. Another of those "why didn't I think of that" ideas. So simple yet so useful.
Survival On Purpose I know, right? Well if you come up with an idea and need some testing done, you know where to find us.. (insert smiley face). -Krik
Nifty little accessories, thus far i've simply been making my own using shock cord and cord stop locks, in that way you can have shockcord in the same colour as your pack and so it all blends and looks pretty like daffodils in your hair ~Peace~
Hi Krik, yes, I have two of those, in orange color. Love them too! Among other uses I have one bend like a W to serve as a stand for my iphone so I can watch vids on that device more easy. Thanks for sharing! /Ulrica
Great reviw, thanks. I just bought two florescent yellow pair a few hours ago. I've never seen these before until I happen upon them at Home Depot in Ontario$6.98 . I came on UA-cam to look them up to see all the uses. I think they would be great for the ends of a hammock instead of a stick to secure the ends from sliding these will be great and also the rain can drip off from them and not soak into it. It shows on the package bending and making a stand for a phone or tablet too.
Coincidentally these are great for camping and fishing. Throw my fly rod in the holder wrap it down once over the top and roll down the beach looking for bait balls. I've had them for about a year and they stay on my truck out in the weather and they still work fine and on corrosive. Great buy.
BlackOwlOutdoors!!!!!! I found a wool watch cap at Mills Fleet Farm and its called the Swiss Link Austrian Army Watch Cap, its temperally out of stock online but just to let u know!
I like these ties a lot and they are convenient to use and good price point. that said I think they are good for use in a configuration that does not repeat the same exact bends in the same place frequently. I used one for making a hook on my trucks headrest to hang my hats or a water bottle. for that these worked well. The bad uses or where these are not good or will fail rather quickly is repeated bending in the same exact spot. I used one to clasp or extend the clasp on a survival bracelet and within a week and a half it fatigued and broke. This is my experience with these ties. I like them and they are cheap so that's good just don't use them for things where they are bent frequently as they will wear out fast.
paulie 4x I don't have the answer to that question. I will definitely being doing a follow up video on these later down the road. Like I said, I've been using them for 6-7 months with NO signs of fatigue.
I have some of those,I love em...but UST may've come out with something better and cheaper I think, called Gear Snake.I've bought some but haven't tried it yet.25 foot of basically the same thing for like $5.
BlackOwlOutdoors I will.Right now I only consider it possibly better because of price and that it can be cut to desired length.Otherwise rubber coated wire is rubber coated wire(I think any way, lol).

are they still holding up well?
Say Heah Krik, how long will that wire last and will it eventually break ?

Krik, why would you want to use these over regular cordage?
Good tip. Thanks!
What's the bag you were using in the video?
Survive the outdoors STO Hazard 4 Second Front. We've done a few videos on it.
