You should maybe daily it for some time, and give us this content.
Also, go over some of the items that everybody say that you need to service and make 355's costly, like exhaust headers (and maybe alternatives to that), timing belts, gaskets, leaks, fuel system, what to do if your 355 hasn't gone through the recall, what to change, that kind of technical informative stuff that we all see the magazine boys talking about, but would like to hear from someone experienced like you.
This one is my dream car, a life goal achievement. And depending on whatever this rumors are exaggerated or not, I might shot for it.
Great content, thanks a lot for this one.

Great Infos and videos about the F355. But which F355 version is ugly ??? NONE !! - I like the GTS most, because it has the lines of the coupe and gives the experience of an open car - with a very pleasant flow of air. You can drive full speed without roof.
I have not four F355 in my life - but only the ONE, MY BELOVED F 355 GTS now for more than ten years (after 20 years driving Porschis) - Greetings from Germany. - Can belt only every four years, that's enough. Btw: I love Ferris since the 1960s...I think, you are a pretty young guy - with really great wisdom about Ferraris!

Great video. People always say BMWs are expensive to own and finicky, but with a little bit of mechanical ingenuity they’re dependable and not that expensive. I’ve got a Z3 with 190,000 miles on it that I daily drive and put over 1000 miles on it every month and it’s never let me down. Also, a friend of mine had an estimate done for his wife’s E46 for a water pump and thermostat and they quoted him 1,600 dollars US. I did the exact thing on my E46 for about 120 dollars US for parts and an afternoon of free work provided by myself. BTW, I’ve got repair videos of all of my BMW stuff on my channel if anyone is interested. Cheers.

@@Ratarossa Thanks. I did look some up and it's totally depressing. ;) Of two places near me in the US, I was quoted $1500 in labor just for the clutch, plus up-to $4000 in parts. 30k major is $8k plus taxes (this is engine out and more parts than just belts, but still expensvie). Last belts were just done via tank out, it was $2k plus some extras (previous owner). The labor (or Labour if you prefer), is $130-165usd per hour here for a specialist. Thanks! love the video's.

The 355 was my dream car in the 90s. My favourite would be the GTS having the body shape of the Berlinetta but with the fresh air motoring option. I don’t really like the full convertible version even with the tonneau cover. To my mind it looks a little awkward. In retrospect the more analogue 348 actually appeals more, the Testarossa styling looking better with time and distance!

Hey Scott, cam belt service for 750 pounds...wow ! Over ten years ago, I had the gear selector shaft cup seals replaced on my Mondial QV by the "dealer", a 2 pound part...they charged me $2100.00. Ouch ! I did it myself the last time for around $30 and some of my time. A 355 cam belt service here in Perth, I dare say would be about 3000-4000 pounds. In saying that, it is the Ferrari agent dealer...I'm told their mark up on parts is up to 900% Boy do I love my Mondy ! Cheers, Marc

355 ticks all the boxes. Sounds better than any other Ferrari V8 and miles better than the current 488/F8 and better than the bassier 458. It's lines have a purity that 458-F8 cannot compete with. It has a manual gearbox and a real world cable from your foot to the eight throttle bodies for a direct feel modern cars cannot compare to. It is also far more rare than 458-F8 (with Ferrari making ultimately making likely 50,000 or so 458-F8. It's not laser beam fast and that's the point: You can actually use the car on real world roads whereas a 488 you can't really drive it to its max abilities on public streets---nor would you want to. It's a bit like sex. The 355 may take longer to get there but the ride is thus experienced and enjoyed and thus much better than a hasty race to the finish. Note, 360 and 430 have cable operated shift mechanisms! F355 is the last mid engine Ferrari to have a mechanical linkage from the shifter to the gearbox.

Had 4 quotes for a belt change on my F355 at 4 well known specialists in the south east UK. Each quote was between £2,200 - £2,600 (including a service). One of them left the engine in situ and the price was not a lot different at the lower end. The F355 was designed to have the engine taken out and inspected and this is recommended every 3 years. My F355 was the only car that ever stranded me (except for a 1986 M635 BMW), twice with alternator issues. I had multiple problems with it and don't have the skills or time to fix myself so in the end I sold it. These are very expensive cars to own if you have no skills to repair and service yourself. Its great you can do it but for the vast majority of people who need to go to a specialist these cars are very expensive and time consuming and not worth the hassle.

Lovely car chap. I had 308GTS qv and then 348GTS. Miss both... even with my current Macca 570 Spider, I have to admit your exhaust sounds WOW... 🤓

The most famous 355 fire might be Joe Kramer's (drummer of Aerosmith). It delayed tours. My family owned the salvaged car. The hood is now up for sale by drum memorabilia guru, Don Bennett.

In 2009 I had the opportunity to buy a silver F355 with gorgeous deep red interior, Somewhere in the €30+k range. A steal compared to how much they cost now. Didn't do it and instead I bought all new furniture for my house. If only I could turn back time...

Looking forward to seeing more on The 355. Hope to purchase one sometime later this year or maybe in 2021 when all the virus crap is over.
    Once again.
    Much Thanks.
Wishing Both You and Your Family Good Health.
    Cheers.

Years ago my Ferrari dealer recommended cam belt service on my 348 at 13k miles while it was in the shop for a minor repair. Quote was $8800 US, I sold the car.

I have friends who love "car projects" - they love to tinker and fix car-related problems. When a car is sorted, they're "bored" with the car, and sell it. Then there are those who love "car driving", and don't like having to fix this-n-that - when a car develops too-many needs, they sell it.

I never knew why people love the F355 so much. I prefer the more basic 348 or the successor the 360. Nice vid, love your content.

I think its more for the noise of the 355 it freaking sings but for looks I'd take a 360 all day

the 355 is the evolution and the final version of the V8 handling first, power second Ferrari's before they became too fast to drive, and its actually lighter and quicker than the 360 that followed it, as they kinda flat out lied about it and gave race preped cars to the roadtesters when the 360 came out in order to best it,
and in order to actually get that performance, well you need to kinda do what he did with his ferrari 360 here, plus the F355 gives the kind of performance the V12's gave in the late 60's and 70's on the basemodel car with four less cylinders and better gas mileage.
I mean this car was so good, lamborghini stole the viper V10 and put a downsized version of it in their cars to steal its thunder, only to fail spectacularly and so far the only thing they ended up doing was stealing the thunder of the viper.

Absolutely adore the F355 the best looking Ferrari in my opinion even taking into consideration the older cars. You're a lucky man. I do like the 348 also, similar proportions to the 355. The newer cars are of no interest to me at all. Enjoying the videos.
