I loved this! At 74 with 2 hip replacements I no longer backpack although I still get out for hikes and take lots of van camping trips. I live in Washington State now but grew up hiking and backpacking in the Sierras when I lived in California. My dad and brother hiked the JMT but I had children to raise and could not go but earlier trips had taken me to Thousand Island and Garnet Lakes and I did Mt. Whitney as a day hike from the other side after my children were grown. Lots of Yosemite trips and hikes and even a snowshoe trip in Winter. (I have bear stories too). Anyway thank you for these beautiful videos. Just the right amount of "story", just the right length, and awesome photography.

Well done. I hiked SOBO and only had one T-storm - while I was on the Bighorn. I also almost got trampled - by a drunk on a horse at night. The Muir pass area is my fav. I planned about 4000 Calories a day and lost about 20 pounds. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Great Video! I appreciate your adding location information throughout as it helps me place what I am seeing in the video with what I recall from my hike from Tuolumne Meadows to the exit over Kearsarge Pass a year ago in September. When I am finally able to finish the southern part of the JMT I will make a point of camping at that lake just north of Forester Pass per the recommendations from both of you. I had plans to finish that part in 2020 but the virus changed my plans; at 72, I thought I it wise to wait a while. I also found it hard to eat as much as I should and ended up losing more than a few pounds (a good thing). The one time I was actually famished was just at that Rock Monster's lair where I lounged and stuffed myself while sitting amongst the Rock Monster's half-formed brethren which were just to its left if you recall. And how brave of you to swim in that cold cold water! I longed to do that at Thousand Islands Lake and even more so at beautiful Rae Lakes but the water was just freezing cold even in September; a good long soak at the hot springs near MTR was a real treat however. It was a wonderful hike, my longest so far. I especially remember the people I encountered every day; funny with all the incredible views, it still is the people you remember most vividly. Happy Trails, I hope to meet you hiking one day!
Oh my gosh! Thank you for sharing your story of the trail. And thanks for watching the video! The location info was important for me because when I was watching other UA-cam videos on the JMT, I really appreciated them so I could kind of follow along with a map that I had pulled up. I hope you get to do the rest of the trail soon enough! Happy Trails!

If you click into the settings icon on the video, you can change playback speed. I like to watch videos at 1.25x speed. But 1.5x is also not a bad option! Hope you enjoy this video. @@GypsyGirl317 Thank you for that feedback! I was honestly pretty worried about it. I personally enjoy longer videos but I know not everyone feels the same. But many people have mentioned that they are liking the longer version, so that makes me feel better! :)
I’m heading out of Cottonwood Lakes at the end of June. Just a section up to Kearsarge. Then I’ll head home for a week, then back for another section. I’ll do that for July and part of August. It’s a bit of a nuisance coming and going from each trailhead, but I don’t want to take 20-ish days off work. For the rest of the summer I’ll be popping up to that area for three-day trips. Pretty darn nice. I’ll probably watch your video another time or two while I walk on the treadmill for an hour at a time with my backpack on. Got to keep my brain happy while I exercise. Thanks for your reply!
That’s a great video and I thank you very much for sharing. It help me recall specific parts of the trail that I had forgotten about a little bit. I just like the trekking polls for the stability they gave me crossing streams and so forth. Thank you again for sharing this great video! I haven’t finished watching it yet but I’m really enjoying it
Thank you so much!! I spent a lot of time on it. It was probably fun for you to recognize some of the spots you had seen. Within days of me being there haha
Ok we have established your right and left confuse you! LOL I love the fact that your significant other is actually participating in the vlog. This is awesome. 😎 Happy Hiking!
Congrats on completing the JMT. 👍 You will remember this hike for the rest of your life and it's nice to go back to relive it watching the video. I just recently went back to watch my long SHT hike and it makes me want to do another one like it someday.
Thank you! I almost thought about not making a video. But then I realized that I really wanted to show my family and have a video I can look back on for myself. Bonus that I get to share it with others as well :) haha
@@AmyRoutt I wasn't sure about filming a long hike for so many days. It was actually a little easier over so many days. You don't have to shoot as much video each day compared to a 2 or 3 day hike. The shorter hikes I have to shoot more video just to make it long enough. For my 13 day SHT hike I ended up with almost 6 hrs of video footage and made a 3 part series 2 hrs total long.
I get a little sad every time I see the new suspension bridge over Woods Creek. The old bridge with individual wood slats - some broken - had a fond place in my heart. It looked like a back country bridge. Sorry to say, but, yes, not swimming at Lower Palisade Lake was a mistake. Best lake for swimming on the entire trail IMO. Great video by two great people. I'm so happy I found it.
Thank you!! Yeah, that was the biggest regret of the trip. Luckily there is some climbing in the area, so there might be plans in the future to go back and definitely not pass that up :)
Thanks for sharing your hike! I did NOBO, Cottonwood Lakes to Happy Isles, Aug 20-Sept 9. You youngsters can really put on the miles, and make it look so easy! Well done!
Thank you!! We were on the trail at the same time! But we never crossed paths since we were going the same direction. I hope the end wasn't too smoky for you! But I know it got pretty bad
I just now saw this (and subscribed to your channel😁). I agree with what many of your fans have said. I like the documentary-style videos. It is a more immersive experience and it makes me feel like I am really there. Keep it up!
@@AmyRoutt You’re welcome. All of my recent planned big trips were, or have been, cancelled or postponed due to COVID restrictions. You and Carson are a fun couple. I’m going to enjoy living vicariously by watching videos of your adventures while I wait out the pandemic. What has become of my life? LOL
@@Mark-J-N Hahaha Not a bad choice though! Luckily we don't have to fly to go places we'd like to visit, but we still have been sticking more locally than we normally would be. We also have very high local avalanche danger right now, so it's been a lot of hanging around inside! But as much as we like getting out there, neither one of us mind being lazy on the couch! haha
@@AmyRoutt I live in Texas and there are very, very few good hiking and backpacking areas within driving distance. I stumbled across this JMT video when I was seaching for UA-cam videos of places near Mount Humphreys, which is where I hope to go backpacking in August. We’ll be within a few miles of the JMT. I may take an extra day and conquer Whitney. I got a good perspective on it from your video. It’s kind of a coincidence that y’all were there the second wk in Aug and that’s when I’ll be there. You encountered more rain than I’m hoping for, but you never know in the mountains.
This is an amazing vid .I’m so jealous I’m currently in a very cold grey and drizzly nottingham in the UK . The scenery you captured and the quality of your photography is breathtaking . I started watching on my phone and finished on my big TV .Again, awesome .
Great job on an excellent video documentary. Fantastic scenery and a cool little snippit into how a fun couple click and work. You two are great. All the best in all of your adventures!
You two remind us of how we used to be. Learning to backpack in the 90s carryiing mondo loads but having a blast together. Got engaged while kayaking Georgian Bay storm-stayed on an island. Lol
Awesome JMT NOBO video. I plan on doing it with a backpacking buddy of mine around the end of Aug. next year. We are in our 50s so won’t be doing any 24+ mile days. We plan on doing it in around 19, hopefully that works out. I really like the video style of the after hike recap/thoughts for the day. Great mix of scenery, campsites, commentary, etc. on the trail. I think it’s the best one I’ve watched and I’ve watched a lot. Thanks for sharing!!
I appreciate that so, so much! Thank you 😊 you're going to have so much fun next year. I hope your journey goes well. Mid/end August was my choice for timing as well. No mosquitos! Haha
It was so nice watching this video. You guys make great couple for hiking. I love you're attitude toward the difficult journey. Thank You. It's was beautiful.
Thanks Amy for posting this. I am a bit sad, because I doubt I'll ever get back out there again. Loved seeing your footage of the parts that I had sectioned hiked (Rae Lakes Loop, Evolution Valley, Red's to Thousand Island Lakes). Sadly, medical issues may ground me for good now.
Thank you, Jim! What inspired me the most when I started making videos was to show my family (that aren't as able to go themselves) the places I was going and the sights I was seeing. I know it's not the same as being there, but it makes me happy that this video has brought up memories for you!
Nice video! I was nobo from Cottonwood Pass solo 10 days after you. Only had rain/thunder on Day 1 and then not a drop for the rest of the trip. Smoke was not bad until Day 13 hiking into Reds Meadow through heavy smoke. Ended up leaving the trail the next morning - have to come back next year to finish it!
I was just right ahead of ya! Sorry that the smoke had you racing out of there. We got lucky and just barely missed the start of the worst of it. I hope you are able to get out there next year and see the rest!
@@AmyRoutt I felt lucky to hit Reds when I did. I know people a few days behind me that were cut off from VVR (and their resupply) - they had a 2-day hike just to exit the trail to the east. Oh - I didn't see a single bear along the way - I am bummed about that.
@@thjellming Dangit. Well maybe you will when you come back next year. I was hoping to see at least one also. I was constantly on the lookout haha Glad we saw the mama and cubs!
Super cool video. Trying to make me some plans to get back to the sierras . I have compleated the jmt and for me the kings canyon national park is my favorite. As for now i'm going to keep planing and hopefully we all get some more dust on our boots. Thanks for the vedio
Great video and liked the length a lot. Nice touch with the post hike interviews mixed in. Fantastic hike. I actually stopped the video to show my wife a couple times just how gorgeous the JMT is.
Thank you! I'm so happy to hear that. I seriously appreciate you commenting to let me know that. I showed my fiance UA-cam videos of the JMT as well, so I could prove that the trip would be amazing and he wouldn't regret the decision to agree to go! haha
Great video! Amazing scenery and enjoyed the narration... "We don't know how to pace ourselves"... Haha, that's me. But my wife, who has way more backpacking experience than me, knows when it's time to throw out the anchor!
Ihave to ask, what gear did you use? Will we be getting a gear video? For such an epic trail we need that gear fix. Lol. Pros. Cons. Changes etc. Please 🙏🏻
I've definitely been thinking about it! For now I have most everything listed in the description box of the video. But there's a chance I might consider a whole gear video!
I love this!! I just did this (NOBO) route from Horseshoe Meadow two weeks ago. Your video almost seems as if it was memorializing my trip/experience. Many of your thoughts/opinions were similar to mine. Some of your comments made me laugh because I thought the same things. Great job! Congratulations to you both.
Yay!! I'm so happy for you. I also love how you somewhat re-lived it again through my video! haha Glad you made it in and out ok with all the fire closures! We also barely got it in, in time last year. If we had started a week later, we probably wouldn't have been able to finish because of the fires!
@@AmyRoutt Glad you were able to do it. You guys were putting in some mileage. That's amazing! I was there there from Aug 11 - 17 going SOBO from Duck Pass to Bishop Pass. I had not idea there was a fire until I was back in Bishop. Wonder now if we passed each other. What an amazing job you did. Love how you documented and named the lakes, passes/areas because I'd forgotten some of them already. I'm going to share this with others who are unfamiliar with and/or want to do the JMT. Hope to cross paths with you on the trail one of these days.
@@maxiesj I wonder if we did!! I really appreciate your feedback. I had such a fun time making this video. I definitely had the goal to show the trail to 1) Show our friends and family (who don't backpack) what it is like and 2) Show others what the trail might look like for them when they get on it :) Maybe one day I WILL see you out there!
Really enjoyed your video which certainly captured the awesomeness of the experience. Good idea to include those retrospective comments in between. Well done!
Crossing Evolution Creek can be a problem when the water is high. My sons and I crossed and my younger (shorter) son was almost swept away. He was taken off his feet. You folks have a great attitude and made great daily milage with no trekking poles.
That's crazy! I am glad (assuming!) that everything ended up ok. I have heard that crossing can be treacherous. Not only was it a low water year, but also not very early in the season. I appreciate you stopping by to watch! It seems like it brought up some memories for you!
Thank you! Yeah, I tend to get altitude headaches and nausea starting at 9-10k if I don't acclimate. But all it takes is a couple days and I'm good to go!
Wow. Finally able to see what the two of your went through. Great video because I felt as though I was THERE, excellent job. I did not realize you guys got that much rain. The moving tent incident was funny, not funny. Every time you walked by Carson, I really felt you would boop him a time or two-LOL! People don't realize altitude can make you sick but you pulled through it like a boss! Thank you for the pretty streams and waterfall footage - I "awww"ed at them each time. Don't think I missed seeing those Llamas-I saw them. All of it was great but I really liked Guitar Lake and seeing the Muir hut-that's amazing its still standing! Now you know how I felt when there was the whole damn desert and someone would camp 30ft from us and party all night. Well I have to tell you, I cried at the end of this video, just like the day I cried when you told us you were out! Amazing country, amazing views and amazing video. Thank you Amy and Carson for putting this video together so other people can enjoy or learn from it. Pretty damm good for a girl with the Lupes! I hope you are as proud of yourself as your Dad and I are of you.
Thank you very much!! :) I seriously appreciate that. I haven't posted anything in a while, but I have an adventure planned very soon that I will be making a video of!
That smoke was so bad, my girlfriend and I drove east from Portland for EIGHT HOURS before it cleared up in Utah. We drove through all of Oregon and Idaho before seeing clear skies. Glad y'all were safe and didn't run into any fires directly.
Yay! I've been waiting for this! Thanks for the shout out - I'm glad you were able to use the Expedition - that thing is a beast, but so much lighter than other options. It makes a great seat too! Funny - I have the exact same view/video @33:43 - that lone tree up on the mountainside reminded me of a chicken. I'm bummed you had so much wind at Lake Helen - that had to be some of the clearest water I've ever seen in a lake. And it tasted so good too! I totally agree with you about Evolution Basin. It was the most epic of all the areas I have been to (so far). We camped near the spot you showed on your video @37:28 on the south-east side of the Evolution Lake. The pikas were plentiful in the area and made a ton of noise while we camped there. It was very cool. You and Carson did an amazing job documenting your journey - thanks for taking us along!
Thank you!!! That bear can was a game changer for us. It helped us keep our packs light, esp after Red's! It's awesome that you are able to watch this and recognize all the spots you've been/seen haha Thank you for watching! And for your support, like always!!
great videos, thanks for making and sharing it. We are hiking NOBO this July. Do you have a list of camps you used ? will be really helpful reference. Thanks !
Hello! Thank you. I'm excited for you :) I hope you have an amazing time! I actually included where we camped for each night right on the video. You should be able to see it at the end of each day (I included chapters for each day!)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. It was very fun to make. And also, I feel so thankful to have been able to get out on this trail! It was GORGEOUS out there
Hiked this trail NOBO from early to late July this year and felt the same way about Forester Pass, we couldn't find the switchbacks until we got to the foot of pass! Fantastic film, definitely visit VVR next time though, it was such a highlight on the trail.
Incredible scenery!! And the pit toilet near the start had me chuckling quite a bit, as that's what most backcountry toilets are like up here, but they're usually a green plastic barrel looking thing. (we call them green thrones) And 100% truth on struggling to get the ring on with swollen fingers! I proposed to Lindsay on a summit in Jasper, and the ring barely got on her finger. Great video Amy, this is a bucket list trip!
Hahaha I just had to throw the pit toilet in there. Most places I backpack, there isn't anything out there like that! Thank you for watching :) I always appreciate your support!
Finally was able to sit down and watch it all last night. Great job Amy! It felt like we were right there with you. It was great to see the Rae Lakes area again. Coming up that pass is no joke! Crazy how much rain you got on this trip. It's been forever since I got rained on, on a trip! This was definitely worth the wait!
Yay! Thank you for watching and for being a supporter and YT friend. Thanks for all your help and info. And btw, the repackaging our MH meals was a game changer for us.

I have watched many thru hikes of the PCT and all of the passes were in snow, so interesting to see the contrast of the area in summer. I have been watching several of your videos each night and am working my way through your entire series. You and Carson are such a great couple!
Thank you! I'm glad you found value in this video :) Those are tough questions, I had to think a bit! haha I'd say that I wish I'd brought more miso soup packets. And I wish I didn't bring as much sugary or sweet snacks/food. I'm sure you were looking more for gear changes. But I was really happy with what I had brought, and I don't think I would change a thing as far as gear goes!

For the rest of the summer I’ll be popping up to that area for three-day trips. Pretty darn nice.
I’ll probably watch your video another time or two while I walk on the treadmill for an hour at a time with my backpack on. Got to keep my brain happy while I exercise. Thanks for your reply!
I had a great time watching this. Good footage. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much! Thanks for watching :)
I really enjoyed seeing the JMT with you both. Along with Billy Yangs adventure recently I can now appreciate this wonder. Thank you
Thank you! I appreciate you letting me know. Also, I love Billy Yangs videos!
Love how you move your eyes...
That’s a great video and I thank you very much for sharing. It help me recall specific parts of the trail that I had forgotten about a little bit. I just like the trekking polls for the stability they gave me crossing streams and so forth.
Thank you again for sharing this great video! I haven’t finished watching it yet but I’m really enjoying it
Thank YOU for watching it! I'm so glad you're enjoying it :)
I just took an hour to watch this. I loved everything about this video. You did such a great job putting this together.
Thank you so much!! I spent a lot of time on it. It was probably fun for you to recognize some of the spots you had seen. Within days of me being there haha
This should have way more views. Excellent work.
Thank you! I appreciate that :)
Ok we have established your right and left confuse you! LOL I love the fact that your significant other is actually participating in the vlog. This is awesome. 😎 Happy Hiking!
hahaha Thanks for watching!
Loved it. Beautiful scenery.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Loved the video. You both are great story tellers. Thanks for taking me along.
I am so happy that you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching!
@@uptrail7169 That's definitely true. I ended up deleting so much footage! haha
Loved your video! My daughter (14 at the time) and I hiked NoBo in 2019. Trip of a lifetime!!
Thank you!! Also, I think that is really impressive for a 14 year old!
Edit is done so well. You had quite the adventure. Well done
Thank you!! I appreciate it. I worked hard on this video
Love this video. Nice job showing the whole trail. And you are right - the view from Selden pass - wow!
Thank you! And thanks for being our resupply and our pick up!
Great video for someone who is about to hike the JMT. Thank you so much for your share. This is great!
I really appreciate that :) Thank you!
Good video! Reds Meadows hairdo -- rad!
Thank you!! Yeah, my hair got a bit wild there haha
Amy! Thank you for this video. This video, along with Chad’s, have really helped me with planning my 2021 JMT! Also, I dig the format! Best ever!
Thank you, Amy! :) I really appreciate that. Also, have an AMAZING time on the JMT this year!!
Awesome story. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching! :)
Just awesome...great views....amazing trip...thank you... greetings from saxony👌🏻😍💪🏻
Totally enjoyed this footage. Nice job guys!
Thank you!! :)
Fantastic video. You've done an amazing job showing what it feels like to do the JMT, my favourite video I've seen of this trail. Thanks!
I appreciate that SO MUCH! Thank you for watching :)
I just now saw this (and subscribed to your channel😁). I agree with what many of your fans have said. I like the documentary-style videos. It is a more immersive experience and it makes me feel like I am really there. Keep it up!
Thank you! I seriously appreciate you taking the time to say that.
You guys are awesome! Thanks for sharing your journey, and you two seem like super nice people!
Eric, thank you for the kind words!! Thanks for watching :)
This is an amazing vid .I’m so jealous I’m currently in a very cold grey and drizzly nottingham in the UK . The scenery you captured and the quality of your photography is breathtaking . I started watching on my phone and finished on my big TV .Again, awesome .
Thank you so much!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I put so much work into it! I hope it brought some sunny-ness to your cold and grey day :)
Thoroughly enjoyed your documentary of this great trip through my favorite place on Earth. Thank you!
Thank you very much for your kind comments! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Simply amazing. I really enjoyed the video. Great work 👏
Thank you!! I appreciate that so much :)
Great job on an excellent video documentary. Fantastic scenery and a cool little snippit into how a fun couple click and work. You two are great. All the best in all of your adventures!
Thank you! I appreciate that so much :)
You two remind us of how we used to be. Learning to backpack in the 90s carryiing mondo loads but having a blast together. Got engaged while kayaking Georgian Bay storm-stayed on an island. Lol
@@hoser7706 What a memory! That is amazing :)
Thank you! I appreciate it so much :) I am very lucky that Carson is able to laugh with me when things aren't going perfectly smooth!
Good luck on your future adventures! I love the Sierras
This is so well done! And what a unique time to hike the JMT! Congrats to both of you!
Thank you! So thankful we were able to do it
Great video and liked the length a lot.
But my wife, who has way more backpacking experience than me, knows when it's time to throw out the anchor!
hahaha Thank you! Sounds like you and your wife are a good balance when it comes to backpacking! Have fun out there :)
Very enjoyable and well done video.
Thank you!! I appreciate that a lot :)
Thanks for sharing.
Hiked the JMT four times and it is amazing and different everytime.
Awesom adventure and great video!
Thank you for watching! :)
This was so well done! And you both made it look easy. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you Steven! I appreciate that so much :)
Wow. What an incredible journey. Really enjoyed it and loved how you put it together!! 🙌
Thank you!!! :)
Long indeed.. This explains why we have not see you both for awhile. Awesome hike!
haha Yep! We were quite busy. Thanks for watching! :)
Really enjoyed your video which certainly captured the awesomeness of the experience. Good idea to include those retrospective comments in between. Well done!
Thank you! I worked really hard on this video. Thanks for watching :)
Thanks Amy. I believe you have "True Grit".
I liked your approach to Whitney. Seemed like you acclimated for two days before going up. Smart move.
Awwww thank you! Glad you liked the waterfalls! My biggest motivation for making this video was for you guys!
Great video. You went to a good place and you have the soul of a storyteller. Cheers.
I appreciate that SO MUCH! Thank you for watching
Awesome video! Love the attitude and energy you guys bring! Excited to see your next adventures!
Thank you very much!! :) I seriously appreciate that. I haven't posted anything in a while, but I have an adventure planned very soon that I will be making a video of!
@@AmyRoutt I’m looking forward to it!
JMT Great trail, congrats this trail look like an amazing place to know, to walk and to enjoy it... the views are great... nice...
Wow awesome video Amy I really enjoyed it I like long videos you did a great job 👍😎🙏
Thank you!! I appreciate it so much :)
Merry Christmas and happy new year’s 🎁🎄😎🙏
@@MTBTexasBikeRider Merry Christmas to you as well :)
That smoke was so bad, my girlfriend and I drove east from Portland for EIGHT HOURS before it cleared up in Utah. We drove through all of Oregon and Idaho before seeing clear skies. Glad y'all were safe and didn't run into any fires directly.
UGH!! Yeah. We got lucky that we got out when we did. If our trip was planned a week later, we would have been screwed.
@@AmyRoutt - BTW - I personally love the length of the video!
@@MaryannHazel Thank you!! I actually also enjoy long videos over separated out videos. But I know a lot of other people prefer otherwise.
Great video! New subscriber here, keep the videos coming! 😃
great videos, thanks for making and sharing it.
Awesome video! Thanks so much for taking the time to do it. Congrats on finishing the trail. Great accomplishment!!
Thank you! Yeah, Forester Pass looked so crazy. But it's interesting that it was not one of the hardest passes for us haha
I enjoyed your video. Thank you.
Thank you very much for watching! :)
Awesome, I started 14 days later from the same spot and summited Langley and Whitney.
I watched your Whitney video! :)
@@AmyRoutt sweet, what an awesome trail that is!
Incredible scenery!! And the pit toilet near the start had me chuckling quite a bit, as that's what most backcountry toilets are like up here, but they're usually a green plastic barrel looking thing. (we call them green thrones)
And 100% truth on struggling to get the ring on with swollen fingers!
In Michigan/Indiana they call them a privy.
Love the video! Very fun and inspiring
I am a new subscriber and love your Videos! I loved this video of your hike of the John Muir trail. I have watched many thru hikes of the PCT and all of the passes were in snow, so interesting to see the contrast of the area in summer. I have been watching several of your videos each night and am working my way through your entire series. You and Carson are such a great couple!
Oh my gosh!! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me those compliments!! I appreciate you :)
Such an amazing video! Great job!
Thank you!! I appreciate that a lot.
great video!
Great Video, Thanks so much for sharing. What would bring on your hike that you would bring next time? And what did you wish you left home?
Just watch you're video and enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing.
Than you for watching! :)
Great video - I hiked Yosemite during the same period including your day 15 prickly bush trail and the smoke. Hoping to do the entire JMT this year - thx for sharing, very helpful 😎
Thank you for watching! I hope you are able to do the whole thing this next year.
You made it look so easy, Loved it! Well done!
Thank you for watching!! :)
You're a badass. Thats all I got to say!
Ok, I'm about 1/3 in but I just got to say thanks for doing a different type edit. It's a refreshing change. And funny thing, when I saw Amy leaning back on that tree the first thing that flashed in my mind was.....she's gonna get sap. 🤣🤣
I really appreciate that! Also, that sap is never coming out of my shorts and rain jacket hahaha But that's ok. I guess it's a funny memory! lol
Great JMT video! Congratulations on completing the JMT. You guys have the best attitude. :-) Best wishes to you always!
Thank you so much! I appreciate that. It was a great trip :)
This is amazing ❤ I dream of doing this one day! I grew up backpacking w my dad, and when I was 14 we almost made it to the summit of Mt Whitney, until my dad got altitude sickness so we turned around. I am in tears seeing what I never got to see, thank you!
Also, Yosemite is my Heaven on Earth! I was 10 the first time I went up Half Dome! Cables of course, not the face 💜💙💚
Omg!!! I am so glad you got to see what the rest of it looks like! I hope you get to finish it one day :)
