    In my opinion with my Race Land ulitmos is that they are very bouncy. I am pretty sure they're not blown yet, I have them on my 99 Golf. And they do the job I'm not slammed or anything big but I enjoy them. I like how my golf is sitting for the mean time. just keep in mind if you plan on slamming your GTI remember to get. Your frame notched and to get a Hybrid oil pan. You'll save your self lots of time and avoid major issues. where I live in Utah is where Race Land is from and I love them. They're a really good company a lot of people talk non sense on them. But I still support them no matter what! Good luck on you're build dude! I'll keep tuning in!!

      Alan Ramirez thanks man! And I want a skid plate but they are so expensive so I might just end up making a temporary one. First thing I need is a new sway bar that goes under my drive shaft then I can start other stuff

    nice video once again! do you feel that the dampening on the primos is worth the extra hundred when compared to the ultimos?

    • @ChrisSnider23
      @ChrisSnider23  7 років тому

      adam I'm not sure how the ultimos feel but I have my dampening maxed out hardness so I think without it I wouldn't be able to go as low as I am rn

      Not sure if you still need an answer but do yourself a favour and buy the ultimos but replace the rear struts with Koni Yellows. If you wanna go slammed you need either the ultimo or primo. In my opinion you only need the adjustable damp in the rear. So id try the ultimo first and then if you want to buy the koni adj rear struts

    raceland
    for a track car or race car NO .
    For a daily driven street car YES .
    that's my opinion about raceland .
    their warranty is what I really like about them

    Hi, how they run and feel Raceland primos on mk4,i'm in a doubt between primo and ultimo,are they stiffer than ultimos ?

    • @ChrisSnider23
      @ChrisSnider23  7 років тому +1

      DANI ATTILA I’m not sure if they are “stiffer” than ultimos but I believe they have a higher spring rate and they also have adjustable dampening. Go with the primos and spend the extra $50 or $100 difference.

      Chris Snider Ok I understand and I keep in mind your answered ,thx I appreciate !

      DANI ATTILA yea no problem. Also a tip for the coilovers install, make sure you have a 7mm Allen key I think is the size (reference my coilovers install video to double check) but that’s one of the problems I faced cause you can’t take the old front struts off without the odd sized Allen

      Chris Snider yeah alright, I guess I have all the necessary tools for the job but firstly let's see the coilovers

      Go ultimo and spend the other 100 on replacement strut mounts, stretch bolts, top mount bushings, spindle knuckle spreader and top mount wrench

    I feel like racelands are pretty much hit or miss, I am currently running fk street lines on my tdi and I would have to say it's the best bang for your buck

    • @ChrisSnider23
      @ChrisSnider23  7 років тому +1

      Ya dude I don’t own the car anymore but my racelands rode absolutely amazing. I have nothing bad to say about them, they had adjustable dampening so I was able to control my stiffness, etc without spending a big amount. I was looking at the fk street line but racelands hooked me up with the coilovers so I couldn’t pass the deal.

    Volkswagen thing😂😂
    It's an altering the original vw thing.
    Always change fo adjustable drop link with coilovers. Problem gone. Or Audi TT sway swap over.

      Elgrinch it's slammed right now and I got a sway bar to fix my clearance issues I just ran into a ton more problems and I'm trying to sell it also to get a Miata. I've been too busy traveling to film vids lately :/

      Yeah they tend to be problematic cars haha I got one myself.. Cut the sway bar or just get one that clears the axle!! Also notch your frame :P
