Exactly. Going for 2 down 9 makes no sense. Taking a knee 3 times and then punting makes no sense, unless you take a knee or run around and throw it away on 4th down. Even running around and taking a safety makes more sense than punting, especially without making sure you set up a max protect. Then to not have equal numbers up front for the onside kick, and apparently your team thinks they can’t field it inside of 10 yards when receiving the kick. It’s like they expected a pooch kick instead of a traditional onside attempt.

At the schools I used to work at coach's are paid a flat rate for the season and given extra pay based on how well they preform post season. I coached swimming and water polo so maybe not the best comparison but definitely probably close to the same type of payment

At least where I live most high school football coaches are either P.E., History, or Social studies teachers so probably not very much

At the schools I used to work at coach's are paid a flat rate for the season and given extra pay based on how well they preform post season. I coached swimming and water polo so maybe not the best comparison but definitely probably close to the same type of payment
He was making $123,000 when he got hired in 2015. Probably making a bit more now
