Very informative. I have a four door ‘65 Minor (Maisie). It’s always good to see such a detailed narrative and photographic staged description of the work as it serves as a good reference to others. Many thanks for sharing this.
Really helpful, thank you. I have a 68 traveller, owned for 4 weeks. One of my next jobs is to drain the system, remove the front and replace the timing chain, cover gasket etc. Seeing the access you get, from your helpful video, I think I'll do the engine mounts at the same time. Incidentally, I too have silver wheels but painted cream they look lovely. Personal preference though, and I admire you wanting to keep the car original.
Good question. I am sourcing wheels (car came with Spridget Rostyle wheels). This is a very late Traveller and the wheels would have originally been silver and not the Glacier White of the grille. In any case, I may well have things media blasted and powder coated despite the higher cost versus stripping and painting myself - if this car were to be used for frequent driving it is certainly a good way to go in terms of a sturdier finish.

Good job. Glad you managed to remove the 'hockey sticks' without any trouble. I need to remove one on my MM and I'm dreading it!
Thanks for sharing.
How about powder coating the front grill and the wheels you are going to use in the same color and same time.
