- Are you a recognised nurse in Switzerland wondering where to work? I had the same struggles after having my degree recognised by the Swiss Red Cross. With no place to get actual information, I have put together this video for those with a similar struggle to get some assistance.

Hi Maureen, congratulation for your amazing and super useful channel! Do you know something about "Nursing/Health Informatics"? Is it an in demand profile in Switzerland? I know that in the US it is a very common and in demand specialization, but I can't find enough informations about Europe. I'd love to start the master in Switzerland but I would like to understand if it's recognized as a nursing master from the Swiss Red Cross and if there are real work possibilities. Do you know where I can get more informations about that? Thank you and please go on with your fantastic contents!! 😊
Hello Virginia. Thanks for the complements. Yes, health informatics exists but is only taught in three universities (Bern, Chur and Olten-Northwestern university). All of these universities teach it in a combination of German and English. It takes 2.5-3years to complete the Masters. It is in high demand, especially being that most nurses here do not venture into doing more. Give it a go.
Thanks for this video. Please can you make a video on the following aspects of nursing; pediatrics, clinical nurse specialist and also advance nurse practitioner jobs in Switzerland. Thanks
You are welcome. Sure, will work on this.
Please how can i migrate to Switzerland as an international nurse
Hi Maureen I am a south african nurse holding Diploma In Bridging. Working In Dialysis unit which agencies may I use to purse my career to Switzerland and also which agencies may I use to work in Old age homes. Thank you
Hello, if you are less than 30 years and newly qualified, Switzerland offers a 18 month employment period to 14 non-EU countries of which South Africa is included. You however have to get the employer yourself. I gave the names of some agencies in one of my videos. Kindly watch it.
Nice information
Thank you 😊
This is one of your best video with very good information.. would be great if you can tell more about emergency nurse . Thanks 😊 @Maureensunshine
Thank you. Will work on this
Not sure about Switzerland. There is a lot going on in terms of diversity and equality.
Switzerland is home to very many foreigners. Most being from the European Union. You are right on the equality bit. This is however an issue in most of the foreign countries, you just have to have a thick skin and know what you want.
@maureensunshine3185 hmmmm... no disrespect or anything, but I am not going to develop any thick skin for any European if I find my way to their land. This is not the case. However, I will not go to a place where I am not wanted in the first place. Going to Europe and end up being stressed.
I respect your opinion.

Hello @@user-hq3ns2qi5b .You sure can. Do you speak any of the local languages? If not work on that to a B2 level then apply online. Preferably a German course. There are more opportunities in the German speaking cantons. You just have to be recognised by the Swiss Red Cross. No need to study nursing a fresh.
