Tales Arcane give-th, and ya boy yoink-eth to use in his own campaign. Thanks as usual for the amazing content, mate :D
Happy to help, mate, this channel was made to be yoinked!
The dynamic aspect of multiple goals, taking down the boss, saving an NPC, defusing the bomb under the city, ect is something I really need to do much more in my games!! Great video. You are killing it in the turtle neck btw
I've definitely used the half-health one! I love 4th edition from that. It totally messes up my players and makes them think and strategize in new ways. They love it.
I should do a video on fun 4E mechanics actually, that would be a cool topic to dig into!
@@TalesArcaneAs a whole 4e had some wonderful mechanics I still use in other D20 games. In general I would also say it is a great introduction to TTRPGs.
That turtleneck got you like Professor D&D
Excellent Guide. Thanks for helping to bring investment, excitement, and a sense of danger back into play. There is way to much "cake walking" through boss battles. It should be the ultimate life and death struggle, that is what makes it worth playing and so rewarding when the players win.
100%! I never want my players to feel like the win wasn't earned - the best battles are the ones where it feels like one wrong move could result in disaster, but then the players pull together and stagger out the other side, triumphant.
And remember to ramp up the music halfway through! It ain't a boss fight without boss music 😂
Is that a new mic setup? It’s fantastic!
I've been using this mic for the last couple of videos but I hadn't worked out how to make the most of it until now - definitely an improvement!
I didn't think I'd get used to your new channel name.
Now, I can't remember your old one 😅
It fits just nicely.
Honestly, same - it feels like the perfect fit!
As always another fantastic video, I’ve been in the process of tweaking my final boss for when it does come up and you reminded me about the half heath abilities which will definitely throw my players for a loop lol. Also, when is the first episode of your campaign planning on coming out?
Wonderful video as always, I want to start DMing for my friends after I said I would so long ago, and one of the things I want to do is run a few one-shots and adventures first before I make a full campaign to run for years, all these videos help in preparation for that, and this one helps a lot with figuring out the boss of the adventure I've been working on for my group.
Love the vid!
I am a fan of mythic monsters because the PCs have to use important resources to kill the monster the first time, so the second time they likely can't do the same thing again, especially if the battlefield changes as part of the mythic trait activating
Great video, as always. Thanks for the advice.
I'm really curious about what you teased for October. I know it'll be great since I have been loving your Patreon material, especially the encounters. 😊
All the best,
V
i love your videos mate
Thank you so much for this video! I'm preparing boss fight for my level 10 party and this video is so helpful. Than you once more!
Level 10 is a great place for a boss battle! Powerful enough so you can justify bringing out a seriously dangerous enemy, but not quite at the godlike status where they can just Wish it away 😅

I have never in my life heard someone pronounce lava LAHVA, and i hate it.
