Had a bird try to mess with my scarco it got very bold and decided to chase me in the water (I was a juvenile at the point) I swam to the bottom and it did to I then proceeded to bite the living shit out of its belly till it barely escaped with its life. The second it was safe from me it just hovered over my head laughing at my failure.
what i find fascinqting is that inadvertently this taunting is actually doing for other animals what signal species in modern wildlife do now, if you hear that noise you know something nearby is trying to hunt you
Honestly you should be able to drop shells, rocks, salt rocks, turtle shells and branches on other players to deal damage proportional to the height it was dropped from and the weight of the object.
I like to fly overhead and call out the events of fights as they’re happening in World chat, like a sports broadcaster. “OH, AND THERE GOES THE PYCNO, DOWNED BY THE MEG PACK…! AND WHATS THIS??? OH MY, ITS THE TYRANO BROTHERS WITH THE STEEL CHAIR! WHAT A POWER PLAY!”
The bird is low key S tier. If you get killed by anything other than another bird than that’s kinda on you. I’ve noticed most thalasso players are not very good at pvp or rather fighting other adult birds. It’s the easiest trophy to get on official. I’ve killed so many birds as my bird solo. You just have to get gud with precision turn timing your bites and managing stamina. The razorbill skin is the coolest for pvp thalassos. The black skin is crazy tough to see at night
Unfortunately you can't fly from standing anymore, you need to run for a bit before you fly since last update. You only need to run for a second though thankfully. But yeah I miss being able to fly from standing 😞
Tbh I was thinking of making a bird, but I’m curious for the +oxygen since their body is “buffed” up like a normal defense Dino, so I’m curious what damage it takes when that’s attacked,🤔 I’m not using the bird for fights but which sub species bird do you suggest to be? I can’t choose between +jump and +oxygen
Depends really, as +jump also takes more incoming damage. +Oxygen doesn't have as much stamina. If you're not gonna use it for fights then +jump would be my choice, but kept in mind if another bird starts a fight you'll be at a slight disadvantage with the +incoming damage

Mobile graphics will probably stay the same, as the mobile can only handle so much. As for the F2P dinos I doubt they will make any more of them free, they gotta entice people into buying the full game somehow. However, they may prove me wrong as more playables get released

You used to be able to just double tap jump to fly. In the recent update they made it that you now have to have some acceleration from running to fly (usually just run for a split second then double tap jump works)

I have around 1900 hours in The Isle. I switched to Path of Titans because I prefer the creatures, the updates are more frequent and more mainly, because I don't have the time to grow a 5 hour dino to lose it all in a few minutes. The Isle was fun, but full time work to got me like
There are community servers with rules in place for those who dislike the toxicness. I personally tend to avoid official servers. This server has a few basic rules but nothing against mixpacking etc, however they have another server with some more rules in place.
Really depends what you like doing. Most people think it gets boring quick, which is expected as the game is a bit barebones in terms of content. There is growth, there are quests to do to grow and get in-game currency for skins and abilities, but apart from that there isn't much to do apart from fight others. There are community servers which can provide more entertainment such as realism or deathmatch, and ofc there are modders bringing more content to the game outside of the dev updates, but again it's up to what the individual person prefers. They're working on a huge combat update currently, and nesting will come in the future too, in case you'd rather wait for those :)
