'Eat, Pray, Love (2010)' is an American biographical romantic drama about a woman named Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Gilbert (Julia Roberts) who has a stable life, a marriage of 8 years, a house and a career. But she is unhappy. She seems lost, confused and longs for a happy life, that is meaningful. She decides to divorce her husband, who has a tough time dealing with it. They end up getting into a painful divorce. Liz feels lost, and goes on a transformative journey. She travels to Italy, Bali and India in order to ‘find herself’, where she makes friends, and learns about different cultures.
Directed by Ryan Murphy, the movie is based on the 2006 memoir of Elizabeth Gilbert by the same name. Ryan co-wrote the screenplay along with Jennifer Salt. The movie also stars noted actors like Javier Bardem, Richard Jenkins, James Franco, Viola Davis and Billy Crudup.
