Nah there is no replacement for displacement! As an R owner I’ve seen this argument time and time again but nobody has figured out the key to owning an R: maintenance and fixing the cooling flaws. I’m at 232k miles factory block 400 hp, yes the 2.5 has thinner sleeves but some guys have even crack the 2.4! Because they fail to remember aluminum and iron have different expansion rates!! Let your R cool down after driving and warm up before driving all turbo cars need this! Turbos need to warm up and cool down too!!! Turbos run more efficient when they thermally expand and this can also be the reason they wear faster if you don’t cool down your R! Both the engine and turbo benefit from this!! Take it from a daily R driver!!!

Pretty sweet! Love the turbo setup.. I have an s70 t5 manual with a 60k 04 b5234t9 swapped in. Did ttv chrome moly single mass flywheel and sachs 707 pp with organic sprung disc. Dw300 pump and dw800 injectors. 3" turboback. Snow performance wmi kit. Snabb turbo inlet and snabb charge pipes. Stock intercooler! Still holding 360whp 450wtq. On a hybrid billet turbo (just got a td06sl2-20g which should make about 450whp) running mamba braided feed lines. Running 3.25" maf Ive maxed it a few times at redline but not enough to worry. Its vast tuned so he was able scale the maf a bit to keep afr safe. Have lotek 3 pod pillar. Aem x series wideband. Ipd upper lower poly. Bc racing coilovers. Running cheap vision 17x7.5 wheels with falken azenia rt660 tires. Viva front n rear strut bars. Msd coil on 9mm silicone wires (not coil on plug) port matched 98 intake manifold. Other small stuff like full led dash, radio, climate control, led headlights n tails, reverse lights, plate lights, glowshift boost gauge and oil temp, mishimoto silicone rad hoses, cnc billet 1 bar wastegate actuator, upgraded silicone cbv heavy spring, ipd hd tcv, all silicone vac lines, badgeless grill, mesh bumper insert, 302mm bbk all brembo rotor n pads. About 12k in including maintenance like cap, rotor, wheel bearings, motor was $500 i swapped it, 2 $1000 turbos, $1000 for flywheel clutch combo, plus cost of car. Got car for $1400 1 owner 1 of 361 in u.s... Like the s60 but something about 90s cars for me lol... Hope you keep it going...

Honestly people have been doing staggered wheels on awd for forever as long as you are within a 1%ish tire ratio it won't really effect anything I'm sure someone will say I'm wrong doesn't mean ill change the wheels I know many people running even more aggressive staggered wheels with no issues after years of driving

first thing we do with 2.5 is block mod . than you can start mods. But the best think for R is swap for legendary B5244T5 from facelift T5.

Also 3k mile oil changes and I only use ams oil in my was system and in my engine. Best on the market well worth the price.
