    Hey id love some advice, I started doing some simple exercises about 5weeks ago. every night before I go to bed I would do as many situps, pushups and squats as I could do in 60seconds. I would then finish it with a plank (as long as I could). I do these one after the other with a few seconds break imbetween. I can see improvement but I am wondering if these exercises are good or bad or if I should change it up every 4weeks or so? If I need to I would give myself some days off to rest and heal. if anyone cares ive gone from :
    41 situps average to 46.
    29 pushups to 34
    35 squats to 43
    all in a time limit of 60 seconds.
    also gone from 1:13 plank to 1:31

    Those are great exercises ! However, on the second one (running man jump) I would recommand to lift the toes up when the leg is in front of you. That would really increase the efficiency both of your running and jumping. In the track and field world, this is something we insist on with the young athletes.

      Jake123 - Glute ham raise, usually done with a machine, but can be done without the machine, thus bodyweight. And the shrimp squat, it's more hip dominant. If these two exercises start to get easier, then you can start moving to weights, if weights are expensive or if you don't like the gym, make your own sandbag, I use it for my lower body and it's really fun.

    • @jesseg.3371
      @jesseg.3371 7 років тому

      Too heavy of weight causing you to strain in your neck when you lift. It you notice, when you perform a side lateral, if it's heavy or when you're fatigued, you would tend to stick your neck out and downward. This can cause neck pain. Try using less weight with more controlled contraction and movement.
