The bottom engine mount bolt is 18mm not 21mm (same as bottom pulley bolt) and only the engine mounting bolt needs to be removed. The crank locking pin is an E14 not an E11
Hi guy I am hopless, I have a renault megane 2005 2l 16v karmann, the timming belt snapped I did bent 2 exhaust valves, send the head cylinder to the mechanical shop, thy replace guids end seals, I put it back on car, started it and oil came from the dipstick, any advise
You say never turn the crank with a torque wrench and the crank set pin in place as you will bend the pin then do so yourself. Better if you can free the crank pulley bolt with the car on the ground, wheels on, and no pins before starting. The bolt can be a PITA to remove even with an air gun.
remove passenger side wheel. well what side is that as it looks like its my drivers side you remove, remember cars come in left and right hand drive so passenger side isnt the same on every car
Everything absolutely great until the last third part of the video started. There were at least two errors in there which can confuse anyone trying to learn something new and doing a timing belt replacement for the first time. The 3rd part of the video is confusing as the video-speech is wrongly mixed.

Very good video guys!! Thank you!
Hi @jakubjunczyk3708 ! How did the operation went? ✌😄
Why did you installed and uninstalled and then installed again ?
19:20 you say turn in a anticlockwice direction, but turns clockwice...
Do you take the locking pins out before or after tightening the crankshaft pulley?
Thx for the video. How long time does it take to do this?
Hi @Dennis Lindberg Laursen! At least 4 hours, but 6 hours is more realistic.
16:02 why did you loosen camshaft pulley bolts?
good question
@@fscnuno I found the answer mate. Its because the crankshaft pulley is not free from the crankshaft.
@@2g591 oh ok so it must be done??
@@fscnuno yeah It must be done to tighten the belt evenly all around.
@@2g591 ok but i've watched this video and this man doesn't do that and did work fine... ua-cam.com/video/OsKOUV5ywiM/v-deo.html
Hi, I have a 2010 Laguna mk3 1.5dci is this the same engine?
Where is the link to the video that describes how to lock the engine flywheel in place with a screwdriver?

Before and after noise sound test would have been appreciated :/

Hi, is a fault in the video, when you release and turn the camshaft pulley, in the video you turn it in the wrong direction 😉
great video .
Well done boys very good
I cant find your video for locking the flywheel....
Hello. The video is under translation. But you can find it here in French : ua-cam.com/video/4siMl7dd7ck/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MaCl%C3%A9de12

On normal cars the passenger is on the right side
