Make sure to use organically grown roses. Using the roses from Valentine’s Day is not a good idea because those are most times than not standard grown roses that have had pesticides sprayed on them. You will basically be rubbing pesticide laden oil on your body.

love this! if you decide to make at home DONT use store bought rose because they have pesticides which are damaging for skin :)

You want to be careful with fresh roses, too. Any water based ingredients can cause bacteria to grow in your product. To prolong the life of your product, a preservative is needed. A body scrub is introduced to water by most people when they dip their hand into it. To help prolong the life of the product, keep water out of it. Otherwise, you are asking for rose scented bacteria.

You skip the heat step you can store oil infusion some where dark for 4-6 weeks shake daily. Or you can sit in a window seal that gets lots of sun esp in summer and infuse oil that way

Any time your put herbs (fresh or dry) in a product you MUST add a preservative. To infuse oil, you must add all ingredients to a STABLE heat source for 4-8hrs (quick method) or bottle in all in a jar & put it somewhere dark & cool for 1-3 months. I have had enough products turn n me to know this PLEASE, PLEASE RESEARCH before trying any DIYS.

I love how you mentioned to use dried rose pedals in your product not only because water and oils don't mix but because roses mold 😬 so in oil it helps preserve the flowers ❤ however for the scrub how would you add essential oils into it to make it smell pretty and how would you measure that into what you already have added?

as far as measurements guys im sure she probably just eyeballed it and the little bowls where just so she didnt have all the big oil bottles in the way, also for professional looking purposes. 9/10she just did half and half on the salt and sugar and she just poured the oil in a little at a time until she got the desired consistency. u can see in the next clip after that, that she had poured more sugar in and aside from the fact that she hasn't answered comments, she doesn't have specific measurements its eye balled to what works for her and her clients, how much fits in her jar, and whats enough of everything so that not one ingredient is over bearing.
if youre doing this for your self just add more of what u feel you need. if youre doing it for other people just add an even amount of everything MAKE YOUR OWN MEASUREMENTS. If u feel u need a little more of something add it, test your own product to make sure its right, im sure she didnt make this video for you guys to fully depend on it shes given us a tutorial and ingredients

White sugar is a fine grain like some raw sugars. The difference is the molasses content. Many brands of white sugar is bleached through a bone char process to pull the molasses out. Fine grain sugar is great for face scrubs as it is more gentle to the skin.
