This song my mother loved and I do I hope when my daughter gets married she will have this song walking down the ile fab song and this is the best version of it. ❤
This song sang by a choir member during my wedding day with my wife (6/18/88 ). And it was a surprise while my wife walk on the aisle. An old wedding song older than both of us but meaningful.
This song reminds me of my late Aunt Norie, she passed away last Oct.1, 2017 because of heart attack due to depression. Everytime I hear this, it really breaks my heart because she likes to sing this in karaoke whenever we gather. May you rest in peace my dearest Aunt. We love you so much😢😢😢😢
Sincerest sympathy on the passing of your Aunt Norie. I too knows what it's like, remember our loved ones and carry them in our hearts for the rest of OUR own lives. It's all we can do.💔 🌹🌹🌹
This is a woman who really knows what love is, unlike singers changing partners every other years. Her first husband died in 1984 (before this performance?) and the second died in 2018. Two tragedies, but she knows what it means: love each other till death.
Great video. She's a beautiful woman with a heavenly voice. I think she even looks better today than in 1964, more sophisticated!! This is the absolute, quintessential, wedding song for any prospective bride. You know, if I were a woman, it would be played at my wedding, but regardless, I WILL have it played at my wedding, God willing! This is a song that you could hear ALL DAY and not get tired of. Thanks so much!!!
I love Julie Rogers very much from this song. I knew her by my first elder sister's voices whose sung in the cassette tape. She'd recorded when she studied at The Commercial College. So she made me love and listening to The American & English Music after that time until now.
This foxy lady can be seen as principal boy in 'Dick Whittington'- one of the '3-2-1's posted on YT. I believe Challenge is currently replaying all of them as well.
I’ve heard this song in English, French and Vietnamese. I don’t know if other languages have this song or not. But the three that I’ve heard are all good.
You by my side, thats how I see us I close my eyes, and I can see us Were on our way to say I do My secret dreams have all come true I see the church, I see the people Your folks and mine happy and smiling And I can hear sweet voices singing, Ave Maria Oh my love, my love this can really be That someday you'll walk down the aisle with me Let it be, make it be that I'm the one for you I'll be yours, all yours, now and forever I see us now, your hand in my hand This is the hour, this is the moment And I can hear sweet voices singing, Ave Maria Ave Maria, Ave Maria, Ave Maria
thought this song was brill in '64 but when i heard it live i was blown away. toured with her as stage electrician in the gulf in 1970 and everything she sang was just as good. an exceptional singer and a very nice person
OMG 😱 😲! I have Real Tears 😢 in my eyes after listening 🎶 to this after an absence of many, many Years. Thank you 😊 💓 You Tube ❤️. Absolutely wonderful Lady, very Special voice. 👍❤🇬🇧💋
Thanks for sharing this great vid. I hear/see this (Dec. 2022) as a regular happiness in present time. But then I realized that it was a realization of a secret dream in the past. While she is aware that she exists now (and is singing), she is still 'unconscious' that she is still dreaming. Fortunately, she was awake and restored by saying "This is the hour, this is the moment." I guess the lyric is a translation.
Thanks for the comment- we're glad you enjoyed the video and it brought up some nostalgic memories for you. Please subscribe to our channel "onemediamusic" to watch more great videos including many more from other legendary artists - you won't be disappointed! Thanks.
I'd like to dedicate this to my late sister-in law Sharon, who for months would sing this song on Friday nights when with my Mother and myself we'd go the local for drink and to get together with the locals for a catch up. Sharon had her wish come true, she married the man she loved (my brother) and for the next 10 years or so lived in mining towns in Tasmania and Northern Territory in Australia. Sadly Sharon's dream started to unravel she became a victim of domestic and physiological abuse, she turn to alcohol, developed anorexia nervosa and suffered from deep depression. One day when her husband was at work and the kids were at school, Sharon took her own life is a most violent way (a rifle) , I can't hear this song without remembering the joy and twinkle in her eyes when she sang along with this song. May she rest in peace
Still listening to Julie in 2024 ❤❤❤
