Guys I just wanna say that this is honestly such an incredible podcast. The humour and intellectual conversation mixed together is an amazing combo and this is now always one of the highlights of my week.
Couldn’t agree more. I am obsessed 🤩🤩
I love that they're super smart and love to talk about high level topics, but also don't consider themselves above talking about social media drama. Drama is fun and I'm sick of boring people trying to say it's not!
I’ve learned more from the bach and Arthur podcast then I learned at school
honestly same
More interesting aswell
That’s very concerning…
@chaoticsad5549 what's concerning is you taking a tounge in cheek comment seriously. autism?
I’ve only just started the video and I can agree already 😂
Get Josh as a guest to talk about his fear of death, but also because he's the perfect candidate from the Sidemen to talk about deep topics.
Honestly you guys are so gifted with your open yet critical way of thinking, loved the philosophy segment!!
I love it when Arthur says ‘WHAT?!’
this podcast keeps getting better i look forward to thursdays every week
i love how this podcast is 95% arthur yapping and 5% bach going "yeah i agree with that, thats v interesting"
arthurs got the cup on the arm chair again 😭
He's doing it purely as an act of rebellion now 😂
Hey pookums☝️
@@Bea_45 …stop
@@Bea_45 hey boo….
nah its actually so cute they had a sleepover
I love the ones that include education. My favourite part of podcasts.
Genuinely need to go back to museums, I miss them
Since this podcast started I have gotten so much more into biology (no physics yet sorry Bach) and interest into philosophy and theology
Honestly could sit and listen to Arthur talk about anything and everything all day (and Bach, don't wanna leave him out). Would love to just have philosophical conversations.
As someone who's studied philosophy I never have anyone to discuss it with and haven't done since my first ex boyfriend 9 years ago so any type of philosophical discussion just lights my lil brain up
However I studied advanced higher biology and was a bit like 🤔🤔🤔 about the cancerous cells chat because I swear it was a bit different when I learned, but that was 10 years ago so 😅
Craaaazy Bach rips into Arthur for being allergic to nuts (understandable) ..... and mans allergic to GRASS!
Holy matrimony I did not expect Isaac's moustache to crawl all the way off of his face like that and stick onto Arthur instead
Fun extra on the Notre Damme is that the spire has actually been rebuilt several times in history most recently before the fire in the 19th century. People saying its not the same now it has been rebuilt, were actually looking at an old reconstruction of a reconstruction they just thought it was the original
Thursdays are such a treat (sweet treat as Bach would say), not only a low iq pod upload, but an ep from their polar opposites the Bach and Arthur pod ♡ I'm such a lucky little rodent
I love the "what" thing don't stop
Can't wait till Bach sees the newest Sidemen Reacts...
he will definitely say beta squad next time
Peoples humour tastes are always different, but that sidemen video pissed me off
@sarah_c_ no fr because they could've just not uploaded it. their video is so awkward, not even in a funny way and borderline disrespectful. bach had been in 2 of their videos, and jj still didn't recognise him 😭😭
@@sarah_c_ Yeah JJ definitely comes of in a bad light
The way that Bach is funny for relatable content. Kinda makes JJ look out of touch.
actually knowing what arthur is talking abt cos of gcses is the best haha😭
for me it’s the fact he explains some concepts even more in depth and intriguing than my teachers is both worrying and impressive
This podcast needs so much more recognition, I could listen to them talk about anything. Big ups this pod!!
i love the colour correction and lighting
I love these 2. They’re so special…
Nah, seriously, my favourite humans!
I literally refresh my page every hour on Thursdays. Thank you for this blessing.
“weapon of mass satisfaction” ~ Bach
being such a big fan of this pod is difficult for someone like me with astrophobia but i will always listen every week lol
Glad I’m not the only one 😂
There is massive potential for this podcast to be huge. Can see it already, keep up the good work lads!
Me and my mom are listening to yall on a road trip and we started balling crying at Bach and his stuffed animal and what he said about infinity. It was so articulately spoken and beautiful just wow.
Bach is such a younger sibling 😭
love the pod guys 😍. just a quick fun addition, i recently read an essay about how birds learned to fly, and it might not be by the adaptation of gliding down trees, but from learning to run up trees! the flight stroke evolved becase of its benefit for proto-birds to escape from terrestrial predators. babybirds still use their small wings to walk up tree trunks (see a paper by heers et al., 2016) :D
i actually love them so much i hope they enjoy making these bc they're fun to listen to
i could actually listen to u guys talking about this type of stuff all day, the way u guys talk when explaining these things makes it so much more interesting
New fear unlocked.. a glass of water balancing on a chair arm. Arthur you’re killing me here!!!!!
I’d have spilt it over hella fast!!
I think it’s crazy that Arthur went on Locked In but it was the only season of that I watched 😂
I love this podcast, you both do such a good job of explaining science. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Oh how I’ve been looking forward to this one **heats up food**
I love the way that you guys take turns taking and looking at each other when you are really into a topic wait no I guess that’s how normal conversations work never mind. Idk it’s just so interesting and coming from someone who’s never been interested in science I love this podcast
i love this podcast so much, i laugh all the time and then it balances w the science and intellectual conversations, thursdays are my fav because of you guys!💞
Arthur looking very jaundiced this week
So glad for another ep, love this ❤️
In my ancient history class the first thing we studied was conservation vs restoration. (A great example is Knossos). In my opinion it depends on how you want to look at it. In the example of Theseus, the boat that he had when he was alive is Theseus’ ship. Because it would have been changed after his death I do not believe that can be classed as his boat.
I love how Bach and Arthur have somehow become my weekly science podcast this is all so fascinating I'm gonna have to go look up how light interacts with elements oml❤
41:11 thank you for the evolution and speciation revision, I have my alevel biology paper 2 tomorrow
Loved this episode so much!
The best duo, thanks for all the content❤
Best podcast around. It’s so nice to see a podcast with insightful thoughts mixed with top class humour.
Thank you so much for this pod I have learned so much and now have started to read much more instead of watching TikTok’s or UA-cam !
I could listen to Arthur talk about biology and evolution for literal HOURS, it is honestly so interesting and informative I love it!!!
Also hearing about light years and astronomy is super cool too I just know less about it so it is definitely mind blowing. Like I don’t know anything about space and some of the stuff you guys says is literally mind boggling like I can’t even comprehend some of it like WHAT.
But yeah I love hearing about all of it❤️👍🏻
I'm a student in secondary school learning about evolution and you have just made it make sooo much more sense tysm I love you guys
id LOVE to watch/listen to arthur talking about biology and evolution!!!! so so interesting the way you explain it and i want moreeee
going into this podcast, i didn't think i would be educated about space and philosophy, like i thought it just gonna be some goofy ahh convos, but no, i was utterly surprised. I don't even listen/watch podcasts, but i haven't stopped listening to you guys yap about deep stuff that i didn't even thought about. so happy that i gave this a chance.
I listen to you guys while i draw btw if you'd like to know lol.
Love watching this on my morning commute makes my Friday mornings 🫶🏻thanks so much
the pod is getting better and better as you release more episodes
I love a good chat like this about evolution and space. Not gonna lie a lot of it goes over my head but it's so fascinating and admirable and impressive how much information Bach and Arthur have on these things. I wish I could remember the things I learn about History becasue I love it so much but struggle to recall the things |I read :( either way these podcasts are so good!!!!!!
I love this podcast. I went to school for environmental science so Arthur’s passion for evolution and wildlife is so lovely to hear. And it meshes so well with what I was taught in school. I’d love for them to chat about climate change or rocks or weather events!
I’m now in school again in the medical field so I’m gaining interest in the biomed information as well, so this is just an amazing podcast for me! Thank you guys for making it ❤️
Love the pod! Could you guys speak about glandular fever and the link to autoimmune issues/ chronic fatigue syndrome! I’m going through similar right now and glandular fever has basically ruined my health. There’s no vaccine for it even though it’s caused by an extremely common virus (EBV). Keep going, such interesting episodes!
Quickly became my favourite podcast. You 2 are just great
not only do I love you both and your content but I actaully learn so much from this podcast!!!! Thank you boys🫶🏻
This is my favourite podcast by far lol I actually said the other day I’m gonna start an evening class in astrophysics (cos I find these chats so interesting) and my boyfriend laughed in my face :-( but I love listening to you guys
This pod is so elite , so soothing to listen to . This pod, radio rufus and Low Iq are the best pods out
Love the new lighting little boys. Way better. Would love some decoration in the studio in future!
amazing episode again!!
I have bad health anxiety and usually can’t listen to anything Cancer related. But for some reason this seemed to be an exception. Really enjoyed it and great meeting you guys at the charity match 🙌🏻
this has been my favourite watch in a long time, that was so enriching 😂
best time of the week xxxx
This is such an engaging and at the same time informative podcast I love it! Pls someone tell me the things/pages/sources that Arthur follows to learn all these things! I need more fun yet informative/intellectual podcasts, UA-cam channels etc
I could listen to Arthur talk about pakicetus for hours, this podcast is incredible :)
Friday is my new favourite day since this podcast started
podcast day is always a good day‼️
Please keep this pod going
I love this pod sm
Genuinely love this :)
Love the pod and would love some book recommendations about the universe and such!
Making my exam speech about cloning and the future, since you guys got me into the subjects again ❤
Hi! some info about the regeneration of brain cells (neurones) from your local autistic!
Bach is kind of right in the sense that they don't necessarily regenerate the same way other cells would in a cycle, however, it's believed that neurones, even large ammounts in one particular area that have been damaged, can regrow their nerve endings or the blood vessels can redirect functions to another area, the brain/neurone changing is referred to as 'plasticity', because our neurones and brains are constantly changing, growing, generating and fixing things! replacing neurons wouldnt necessarily affect your brain function, because they'd likely still do the same thing and they just act as a pathway for electrochemical messages, your dendrites (the branched ends on the neurone) are constantly growing because longer dendrites allow them to be closer to other neurones to pass the messages. However, different neurones actually have different shapes depending on their function such as sensory, motor and relay neurons, because it's structure is a benefit to their function.
Hi! Neuroscientist here, brain plasticity is our brain using different undamaged areas to be able to do the things that damaged area used to be able to do, neurons do not regenerate or regrow.
THESEUS’ PARADOX!! im exited for this one just by the title!!
back looking lushcious as always
As someone whos recently taken such a deep interest in animal evolution and whales, this podcast episode was great today. Informational and humorous which is a great mix which i love to see!
Omg are we gonna have our first guest outside of your friendship group?!! Yesssss
I love this podcast, taught me more then school did 🤣🤣
love grinding squad battles and hearing you guys speak about how the egg came first and whales used to be land animals
No bc I’ve actually adopted the “WHAT” into my speech bc of you
IM SO HAPPY I NOW HAVE PATREON ❤❤❤
Halfway through the Sapiens audiobook! It’s incredible
Arthur is such a diplomatic speaker
You guys should film playing Fortnite together! It would be so fun to watch since I have never seen you guys play games like that before 😂
I think an amazing guest would be Theseus
Isaac's vocals at the end 🫢
I am not a podcast person but i absolutely love this
I loved the conversation about the boat, I am a big fan of steam trains and there is a very real similar conversation with heritage steam trains like the Flying Scotsman and the amount of original parts (very few but essentials like wheels, axels, tender etc) and whether it is the same engine or a different engine.
7:29 I didn’t expect Arthur to say Shutter Island!! Such an elite film
I genuinely always feel like I come away from these podcast episodes significantly smarter than when I clicked on it. This is the only way I’ll soak in information without getting bored hahaha
wanted to share the fact that i genuinely do LOL at these podcast episodes... sometimes i get weird looks in public
Arthur got his glass cup back
yay bach and authur upload
Bachs pound cake reference at the end was elite😂
this podcast was decent enough to listen to
I learnt alot ... .... yous are like the English version of big bang theory
Funny&Smart
bach & arthur + astrokobi is a combo I never knew I needed till now
omg i love shutter island!! great film taste guys
I wrote about the germ theory because of what Arthur said in the chrismd episode in my religious studies philosophy exam because I got confused from watching it whilst revising I fear I’m cooked😭
