Love my 550 hooklift truck. Just got my snowplow installed and make a pretty cool way to use the lift to lift and hold my spreader. 7.3 is running great. Pulled tons of trailers with a loaded dumpster too.
I can see the usefulness of the portable truck. I have a dump trailer and it is great but this will fit into tight spaces and with 4x4 that really is a plus especially around construction. The 7.3 gas engine is dominating the RV sector now for the same reasons mentioned. You got me thinking!
What wheelbase or ca length should I be looking at to haul 16’ cans? I’m in Ohio it seems most states are ok with a 2’ overhang. I guess if I got one to haul 16’ with no overhang I could also haul 18’ if I came across some. I like the idea of 16’ cans to make it easier for people to load them vs the short cans with high sides. I don’t hear anyone discussing this on all the guys I follow on UA-cam so maybe it’s not a big deal? I’d really like to get a for or fvr derated truck. Maybe you could do a video discussing this topic and show different size cans on your truck. Thank you. Hope business is good.
Yes 8 dumpsters a day at $400. Thats 40 dumpster DROP OFFS a week. But unless your dumpsters are magically picked up and emptied themselves, then you’re looking at 4 COMPLETE dumpster rentals a day which is $8,000 a week. More realistically. Stick to selling trucks not pretending like you know the dumpster business 😂
This is correct. I'm 4years in now and 4 drops is about it. Very special circumstances to go above that. For my area a 15 yarder goes for 260 to 300 a day, so #'s will vary.
I have done 9 drops and 4 pick ups in a single day with a truck/trailer set up. 13hr day. Not really feasible everyday. Everything had to go perfect to pull it off. No trains. No flats. No traffic. But with a truck like this you could probably do 6 drops and 6 pick ups 6 days a week with a tight service area and most importantly good marketing. Moving that many dumpsters per week won’t just happen on its own.
It's perfect if your running 12' cans. This truck is set up for the guy that's running smaller cans and getting into tight spots. Not the truck for everyone.
I'm thinking about getting F600 if I buy the chassis would you put the hook - tarp-tool boxe-strobes or do you need to buy the chassis I want it long enough to haul 14 foot cans

Yes, you are correct! We wanted to see if the trash haulers were watching this and see if we could get feedback from them! Thanks for the comment.
💯

Can you tow a chipper with a hooklift truck
Yessir! Give us a ring we can set you up!
Wheelbase is too short.
Based on what? It is easy to make generic complaints all over the internet. It is much harder to try and make intelligent comments.
@@ThamesCentrePhotography Based on the fact that dumpsters will be hanging 5 feet of the back.

@@davidheck4985 and somehow you think that would be the only vehicle on the road with something protruding beyond the back of the wheelbase?
What a joke lol. 8 cans a day 🤦🏻♂️
Not realistic mathing
