    Amo esa casi interminable recta que termina en Calzadilla de la Cueza. Tiempo para la introspección ❤

      Molly is a runner. I’m more of a jogger, but I enjoy doing it. The running shoes work well for the second pair of shoes if you aren’t using communal showers in albergues. If you are using those, then you will need shower shoes.

    The videos are great. I'm assuming you made them all at the end of your journey.

      Yes. In fact, we are still making them. I work and Molly has school, so we can only get one done per week. We are loving making them, so it is something to look forward to every week.

    It looks like you walked during the Spanish summer? 😮

    2:40 I do not recall that food truck right there, but I know and love food trucks from elsewhere.
    The café con leche looks delish!

      Let's suppose the café con leche was 1:50 €. * 80 = 120 € that morning ... and many arguably spent more.

      Yes, the food trucks along the way were doing a great business - and they were a great service to the pilgrims. We were thrilled every time we saw one and always tried to support it by buying at least a drink.

    8:15 Maybe it's just lacking from the subs - did you mention what the cat count was?

    • @staceyandmollypilgrims
      @staceyandmollypilgrims  Рік тому +1

      The cat found is taking a little break, as we didn’t see many in this stretch. It really gets going after Astorga.

    10:29 This bar is La Morena?
    Explains why I don't recall it.
    After Carrión, I slept in Ledigos, but that was El Palomar.

    I am interested in your running experience. As I am a regular runner I wondered about running some stretches myself. Once I got a couple weeks of walking. (CF April 2023)

    • @staceyandmollypilgrims
      @staceyandmollypilgrims  Рік тому +1

      Overall, our attempts at running in the CF were a fail. The stretches were long, and we needed to carry more water than we could run with. If you had a small hydration pack, it could work. However, that would be extra work to carry that in other days. We kind-of ended up deciding that if you want to run during the Camino, you need to schedule off days (or really short ones).

      However, our experience was that we didn’t lose conditioning, and Molly had a great season, so it worked out fine in the end. We will also take our running shoes as our second pair again just in case. Hope springs eternal….

      @@staceyandmollypilgrims thanks. I will be wearing trail runners so will see. April 2023 for my first CF.

    11:13 That kind of road, I vaguely do remember, but could not have placed it as getting out of Ledigos.

    • @hglundahl
      @hglundahl Рік тому

      If Ledigos wins the award for most confusing Camino signs, this could be a stretch I didn't walk - and I was happy to arrive at and leave Ledigos in sufficient company to get someone else find the way.
