The Ruki immediately reminded me of Peter’s Yard crispbread, which are also Nordic. Excellent for piling herrings and dill and the like on. Even lovely with butter and jam.

Have you tried the camera feature of google translate? You point the camera at the text of what you want to translate and the English translation automatically overlays. I used it when I went to Seoul in restaurants - extremely helpful! I really like these sampling videos you do!

Cool to see. I'll be driving through Latvia and Estonia in September after visting Lithuania. Flying back to Canada from Helsinki. Lovely to hear the accordian music in the market haha. I do love a good polka. The garden in a month from now will be incredible to witness. Looking forward to seeing it and looking forward to finally visit the baltic again since childhood. Looking forward to next weeks updates

suitsuvorst means just "smoked sausage" and salami isn't that bad of a guess for it. By "default" most are made from pork or beef - deer is rather exotic (and horsemeat aren't particularly popular either).

Fun thing is that those Bread Crisps are actually a Latvian product from ''Latvijas Maiznieks'', but they are not really traditional and I have seen them in local Top! store which is a smaller Latvian supermarket chain but have not tasted them. I guess that's the reason why packaging is in English.
That Snakk thing was super popular in Latvia in I think early 2000s when we used to make them at home, you could buy it packaged and boil in oil, but then they kinda fell out of fashion but I think you can still find them in Latvian stores here and there

Whats with the horse meat reference all over the place. While im not arguing that some people might eat horse meat... most wont, including me! Horse meat is not really traditional estonian food!
Also these ''Kitchen balls'' do not translate into kitchen balls. Whoever translated it told you bunch of bollocks! ''Köök'' does mean kitchen BUT, its not the name of the product. Its the logo of the producer!
At the end of the day its just your regular ''rum balls'' (not sure how regular those things are in the rest of the world?)
