@@craizytvboomb7779 Yes, that's why for me, when I saw this little bottle it was almost hilarious laughing. I would'n say it is bad stuff, I like it myself, but at the end of a day it is what's left in barrel, when you have sold the product, sauerkraut in this case.
Miss eating the bakery items we can buy in Latvia. Such as eclairs and vecrigas. She pastries are so nice back home. Haven't seen anything like that in uk. Maybe do a video of that
Not a big fan of chips but i absolutely love those truffle chips sadly they are only special edition... Also if Smiltene is about an hour from u means u must live near me as well! I am from Valmiera! Your video showed up at my homepage and i definately don't regret clicking on it! Nice to see people explore Latvian taste :)
Of all the snacks you reviewed, I would go for the crisps. My favorite treat - potato chips (crisps). When I was much younger, I called myself a chip-acholic, preferring them even over a juicy, grilled, steak. Now, I don't eat either very often - lots of self-discipline!
Most of it is crap choice, except Sauerkraut juice that is good for your digestion, rich of vitamin C and best hangover drink. Crisps, long shelf sausages and other crap- do you seriously expect it to be good?
Have you ever tried it? Actually it not exactly juice, it is like kind of marinade, like pickles have, say cucumbers in marinade, if you like vinegar, this is ok.
Not gonna lie, you chose one of the worst products you could to taste what latvians love. Really, no joke, every single thing you have is something that not many latvians actually buy and love. Even the chips, yes, Ādažu čipsi are awesome, but, you got yourself some experimental ones, that nobody buys and if they do, they do it 1 time and never buy them again. The sausages, they are super bad. Like really bad. And forget about Biovela, that is not latvian company, nothing to do with Latvia. I could go on and on, again, every product you chose, is not too popular in Latvia.
I did state in the vid that biovela isn’t Latvian, I’ve done lots of other vids of popular products (including Latvian recipes) it’s just what I find new in the supermarket right now.
@@BalticHomesteaders Yep, you did state that. And this is my first time seeing you, so i quickly wrote my piece, not knowing if you have tried other stuff. But 0 hate from me, i'm just passionate about food and when i see someone tasting our food and picking the worst products to represent that, i need to say something. Best of luck!
@@BalticHomesteaders I'll check it out. But there is nothing wrong with this video either. You seem like a nice and wholesome person. My instant reaction was a bit harsh, because in my heart, i want ppl to experience the best of our small country, and thinking that these are the only products you tested, i knew that you are far from the actual best of the best we can offer.
@@BalticHomesteaders Well, in defence of cabbage juice. It is fermented product and has billions of good gut bacteria. Unfortunately the presenter appears to be a heavy drinker of Baltic schnapps ....
@BalticHomesteaders I don't know what you have there with high salt content but homemade and unpasteurised sour kraut is amazing especially with caraway seeds and a tiny bit carrot to bring up the flavour. I do apology for suggesting alcoholism, but please take care of yourself.

As a Latvian, i enjoy seeing people talking about Latvia or other Baltic countries
Dimdiņi sauerkraut juice is the best hangover drink ever. But sometimes it may cause diarrhea, so be careful with it
it used to be sold as side produkt in market from big barrels of sauerkraut. 10 kopiks per glass. Now it is fancy product.😂
@@BoneyMB it is very smart marketing turning side product to premium

Every time I come home Latvia from Ireland I always have that yogurt, been always favourite yogurt since childhood
It’s the best isn’t it!
Thank you so much for the video and sharing these items with us 👍🏻

A definite no on the sauerkraut juice! 😂

@@BoneyMB No, I do not like sauerkraut at all and am not a fan of vinegar either. I’m sure it is good for you, though.
@@BoneyMB There is no vinegar in sauerkraut. it is a fermented cabbage, fermented in its own juice. The ones with vinegar are fake.
This was really salty there was no vinegar in it.
