If you have two like me you will know soon enough when they start laying eggs. I thought I had 2 males no 1 male one female. They can lay up to 12 eggs a month and I don't want that! I just take the eggs out when I clean them, of which is every Sunday they are a very messy bird also loud but fun

There is 90% chances that he will be male. But check their pelvic bone by touching with soft pinky finger. If that bone have sharpe edges and close to each other then they are males otherwise its female. If u r confused then make Comparison with ur female lovebird.
@Birds Lover English Hi, how far the pelvic bone of the male should be. Almost touching each other or slightly closer than the females? You should feel a noticeable difference when compare or just slight difference? Thanks
@@TrixAreForKicksno actually they need space especially since they are gonna be kept in there for a long time. And also breeding birds need a breeding box INSIDE of the cage not the cage itself

They are for breeding. Not pets. Breeding birds often live in these smaller boxes while nesting and having babies
