    Is it Parent DNA strand's 5'-3' or new synthesizing strand's 5'-3' ?

    I have a question ,
    Leading and lagging strands are formed in different strand or same strand ??? You tell that they are formed in different strand but I have learned somewhere that both the strands have leading as well as lagging strands

    • @hussainbiology
      @hussainbiology  4 роки тому +2

      It is the direction of Polymerase what make leading and lagging strands.
      When Polymerase Runs on 3 prime to 5 prime Template strand it creates Leading strand and Vice versa.....
      So on only one strand we can have leading as well as lagging strand when two Polymerases work on the same strand in different directions...
      Here i have shown only one Polymerase working on one strand.

    • @gulshanthakur3555
      @gulshanthakur3555 4 роки тому

      Actually there are 2 replication fork instead of one as you have shown .

    masallah sir ....well done ...but one query is that the role of Tus protein and two fork (L&R) is not clear in this video...

    • @hussainbiology
      @hussainbiology  6 років тому +3

      TER is just a sequence on DNA...
      TUS is protein ,,,, so a specific Orientation of TUS on Ter sequence makes it a replication termination site.
      The Replication fork can pass via TER-TUS complex in one direction but this complex stops fork coming from other side( non permissive )...
      TUS binds in accordance with the sequence so that Permissive and non permissive faces are correctly oriented.
      TUS se he actually termination hoti hai.....
      Bas TER sequence sirf batata hai TUS ko kaise orient krna hai..
