Wales just got outmuscled. They looked better than SA with the ball in hand, but they lost the collisions because the SA players were too strong, that forced them to give away penalties. De Allende should never have scored that try, awful defending from Biggar, fair play to him though, he saw the gap and went for it. What pains me about this game is that Wales could've won it, they were more creative with the ball, they somehow stayed mostly solid defensively and until about the 73th minute mentally they were strong. South Africa won the game on brute strength, fair and square. Good luck in the final!
As said, Wales usually *do* beat SA. Wales could have won thw championship for sure - just like English soccer team back in 2002. SA seem to have the best mauling andcombined tackle ability. .
South Africa had a 93% tackle success rate. Wales did have every chance to take this win as they clearly had more flair but against a defense which is that effective it's a real tough challenge. Not to mention Springbok set piece is incredibly strong at the moment. I need new undies even just watching the highlights

It's always a joy to watch this fixture as they are both such great teams no matter who wins! Wales were the only team to score a try past SA in the knock out stages and the only team to be within a score at the end of the match. This game was much better than the final, real edge of your seat game for 80 minutes.
