After one hell of a ride, Nick says a final goodbye to Rev3Games before embarking on his next gaming journey.
A year ago, Rev3Games was pretty much the best gaming channel on UA-cam. It had everything: well-written reviews, funny segments, interesting discussions, interviews with people from the industry. Despite many people quitting and moving to other projects, your work still looked very promising. And then this happens. It's really sad to see this great channel go down a realize that we'll probably never see such an amazing team of great people working together ever again.
Farewell, Rev3Games. You may be dead, but you'll always be in our hearts (and we can always re-watch the videos, so that's neat).
I thought this was going to be my new "X-Play", but its shortlived

BlackTop Yeah there isn't much right now. Except podcasts obviously. We have a lot of one-person news shows though, like Pressheart and Jwittz (although he only does Nintendo news)
BlackTop Right they had a huge ass fan base growing too. How were they not getting a decent profit out of there somewhere? I've seen Sessler in one interview since he left so I don't see how leaving in the channels prime was worth it.
I kind of agree & I just wonder, what happend? So much momentum behind it at one point, how did we get here?
Little did he know, after this video a series of events occurred with many trips to japan and protests on super monkey ball, nick became a legend on UA-cam by discovering pappy van poodle and finding A TYPO in animal crossing.

When Sessler left and Nick took the helm I was like, who the fuck is this guy? But wow did he grow on me. Big fan now, definitely got himself a follower for all his new stuff! Good luck Nick.

The day Adam left, I knew in less than a year rev3 would shit the bed.... And here it is. I feel really bad over the situation, but Rev3 took numerous horrid marketing decisions.... One of those decisions of trying to be a let's play channel more and more. Shit I can't remember when that last time rev3 brought us any kind of gaming news like they used to.... It was always let's plays or some info on an upcoming release, "which was rare in itself".
yeah i thought that was annoying as hell having lets plays after lets play without any news primarily relying on excapist for majority of news

This has me wondering: Is Rev3Games still going to be a thing that exists? I mean, who's left? I think it's just Tara. If she leaves, not only will there be no reason to watch this channel, they'll be no channel! I think she's the only one left! >_<

When the Sess left and you took over I'll admit that I had my doubts about your ability to help carry the channel. You looked green and a little nervous in front of the camera. It didn't take long for you to come out of your shell and I feel you've done a great job since then. Good luck with whatever you have coming next and good luck to Rev3Games without Nick!

My reason went along time ago. Still like everyone else on the channel, but Adam was the main pull. Have to say though had nooo idea Jontron was working for Rev3, had to have been before my viewership.

Strange that Rev3Games, who we were hoping to become the replacement to G4, ended up closing down right around the same time G4 went off the air (in late 2014).
It's been such a joy to watch everyone who's worked on R3G and DTOID since I fell over you guys doing a Borderlands 2 preview. You guys made some of the coolest, dumbest and some of my favourite videos on UA-cam. You also inspired me to make my own gaming channel and to make it something fun and something worth watching. It's really heartbreaking to see the channel and more importantly the people who worked on it go, but all I can say is that you guys made something really special and I hope you enjoy doing whatever's down the road for you. Thanks.
Missing this channel so badly..
Channel got defunct on 2014. A shame really. Content was outstanding IMO. Adam Sessler really brought this channel to new heights in the peak of its popularity.

How bad is it there that Max Scoville, Anthony Carboni, Scott Bromley, and Nick all left without having any idea what they were doing next? Adam left without saying anything and I don't remember Zach saying goodbye either. Wouldn't be surprised if Tara was gone by the end of the year.

It's sad to see Rev3 go because I got a lot of enjoyment out of their videos. It became a sinking ship, and I thank you Nick for trying to keep it alive. I also really enjoyed Behind Anime Lines, even though I didn't watch much anime. It got me into Attack on Titan, and I thank you for that. Best of wishes.

It was a little worrying after the last mass exodus from this channel, but you really have managed to take over incredibly well. I really liked how active you were with the viewers in the comments as well. It was nice.

You had an impossibly large role to fill and did it well. I'm very proud of you, Nick. Tally ho to the next adventure.
I have all sorts of respect for Sessler, Scoville, Tara, etc.
But of anyone, Nick, you were the one with the kind of personality and enjoyment of what you were doing that made me keep watching the channel even after more and more of the folks on Rev3 kept leaving. You have my subscription, can't wait to see what kinds of stuff you come up with.

It's only a matter of time before Tara leaves as well, and then what happens to this channel? Eventually they'll have to shut it down. Sad to see it fall apart like this since it used to be my favorite gaming channel, but you've gotta do what you gotta do.
I feel like there must be some underlying reason why so many people left in such a short amount of time and it sucks that no one on the inside seems willing to let us know what that reason is.

This is so sad. I just finished watching Tara's goodbye video where she says Rev3Games is closing down. Nick, I know I already said it before, but I'll say it again: I'm really sorry for picking on you some videos ago. After I got over my own pettiness, I actually realized YOU were the one who made the most effort (at least hosting-wise) to save this channel, and you were pretty good at it, too. I'm sorry the channel failed, but you guys tried. Good luck with whatever you decide to try after moving on from Rev3! When you said you weren't sure what to do next, I was going to say you should start your own independent gaming channel where you can get away with more things, but I guess you're already doing that. I subbed. I look forward to seeing more of the same people...except Cisco. Cisco is bad news. One of the most high profile games of the year, Alien: Isolation, was wasted on an uninteresting gameplay video with that madafadagundamstyle. I will NEVER, ever like him (ahem, I might change my mind in the future like I did with you. Ha!).

I feel like I'm a pretty well adjusted guy with games and media being only a part of my life and interests, but you guys at Rev3games have made yourselves at home in my heart over the years. It's been great experiencing the love and care you guys have for your work and for each other. While it's melancholy seeing these last videos from this channel, I'm hopeful because I know you all will find success wherever you wind up in the future, just like those who moved on from this channel before. So this isn't the end! Thank you for everything!

I've since realized your in depth looks into games and presence in video. You are smart and thoughtful about what you are reviewing in addition to what your viewership may convey to what you say(an honest and caring reviewer, in short). As I commented in Tara's goodbye, I think you're a good looking man and shouldn't have a problem finding work because you're smart, thorough and honest.

Been here from the very beginning because I knew this channel had the potential to offer some quality content and it really delivered. Although I was skeptical of Nick, he (and the others) managed to hold the channel through to it's dying breath even though it's been lacking the past few weeks. Good luck in the future!

I discovered Rev3Games early last year back when Adam Sessler was still around and I have to admit, even after he left, this channel has been my favourite on UA-cam by a wide margin. There are so few legitimately good and journalistic gaming UA-cam channels and Rev3Games represents a shining example of how to put journalistic principles to use when covering video games. It's deeply saddens me to see this channel go but I will continue to support the people who made it so special in any way I can.
I hope you're reading this Nick because I want to personally thank you for the hours and hours of entertainment, insight and thought-provoking discussion that you've given me and I will continue to follow your work as long as you continue to produce it.
