Dig this format Adrian, good to see other overlanders and their vehicles. If at all interested, go knock on LED and Beyond's door for technical info on their DB systems. Darren runs it and I had it in my Cruiser - locally made products in Centurion (and they're family!). Keep 'em coming, cheers boet!
Totally agreed about the Jimny fuel issues, I been trying to fit a second fuel tank somewhere. I am running a 75ah second battery in the Jimny (in the engine bay) and the fridge easily runs through the night, I havent even added solar yet. I was very worried about its size, but so far I don't have any issues with it..
Sounds great! Definitely going to be looking at smaller battery options and being smart with charging my camera gear 👌🏻 keep watching for some neat extra water storage we have worked out 👍🏻
Have you looked at 4xoverlanding with Andrew White or maybe to Paul Marsh's stuff? Toyota FJ40 or a vintage 80s-90s Suzuki Jimny ("samurais" as we in the states called them) or even a classic range Rover or Cherokee sport is what I want to see.
I’ve see them, would be cool to do something that side. I’ll only be in Capetown next year, however a vintage samurai I know one in beautiful condition, but it’s not setup for Overlanding.. :( so maybe I’d do a photo shoot with that one 👌🏻
I love Jimnys and you are the only one high quality channel for them... however its very interesting you are expanding your vídeos present us others groups of vehicles or even driving among them. congrats!!!
That’s a very good idea, we are actually developing some addition internal storage as we speak that will be able to take an extra 20/40L water bladder 👌🏻tricky to keep fuel inside the vehicle unfortunately
If you have a canopy like the Bushtech canopy; you can mount a roofrack and then the awning onto the roofrack. But get in touch with Eezi Awn and see if they perhaps make a little roofrack for the extra cab 👌🏻
Please ask him how he secured his spare wheel underneath his Hilux. After adding the long range tank, I’ve lost my spare locking system. We live in SA so it’s not negotiable NOT to have it. Tnx J
What I am missing in the overall video is the space for luggage. I agree, it is a nice rig, but where do you put the luggage? If you travel with 3 children and the rear seats are full, how do you handle the rest?
Laat weet as jy Hennops toe gaan ! Ek is seker daar is ‘n paar mense wat jou volg wat jou baie graag sal wil ontmoet !! Ons almal kan leer bymekaar. Self die Hilux aangeskaf, maar leer nog wat moet waar inpas. Man dis ‘n duur stokperdjie maar goeiste dis asemrowend ! Weereens MAL oor jou UA-cam kannaal !! That's a neat rig. The setup in the canopy is so 🔥🔥🔥
100% agree, definitely inspired me !
You are hosting an interview with other overlanders' vehicle and gears. It is a great try! Looking forward to more.

Thanks bud! It does look like a great system. I love supporting our local companies! Going to try do one of these videos a month!
@@RoamOverlanding that's great news. And remember, there's no limit to the number of Cruisers you can feature lol! Cheers boet!

Great video. So inspiring for us here in Brazil
Happy to hear that!
Ronny Dahl - Modified. The SA version!
😂😂
Very smart layout for a double cab., hope it’s dustproof. Wonder coatings for the canopy setup
Bushtech are famous for their dust seal 👌🏻 so it’s a very capable and clean setup. No need for a trailer 😂
Loved the start of this video! :D
1:46 i like the leaf loading
Nice video, thanks for sharing ✌
Thanks for tuning in!
Nice setup. Congrats from australia.
It is indeed mate! Haven’t seen too many Bushtech setups that side, but I think people will really like it the more they use them

As usual, great video!
Thanks so much Eric! Anything I particular that interested you the most?

Adrian if you could find an old hilux. The 2.4D with the 4Y engine that would be great
Inspiring rig
Would have been nice to see more of the vehicle.
Thanks for the feedback bud! I’ll make sure to include more in the next one 👌🏻
Have you considered specialist bladders for you’re water and fuel storage. For example, Fleximake in Australia.
That’s a very good idea, we are actually developing some addition internal storage as we speak that will be able to take an extra 20/40L water bladder 👌🏻tricky to keep fuel inside the vehicle unfortunately
Like to hear about the power on the vehicle, fully loaded is the engine enough?
Nice vid
Can you add an awning on an extra cab hilux?

Roam Overlanding I have the new Toyota Legend 50 and want to do exactly what this guy did to his.Any help please 🙏 will be very much appreciated
Hi Adrian. Is that a fan on the top left side of the headboard in the canopy? Is it to help with dust?
It’s a light if I recall correctly 👌🏻
Please ask him how he secured his spare wheel underneath his Hilux. After adding the long range tank, I’ve lost my spare locking system. We live in SA so it’s not negotiable NOT to have it. Tnx J
What size are the wheels and tyres on the hilux? And is there any modifications to make them fit?
It has a 50mm lift from Iron Man, and has 285/60/18 if I remember correctly
Can you test your offroad osram led bars at night?
That will be coming up soon 👌🏻

I think if you’re traveling with 3 kids you’re going to need a small trailer 👌🏻
Roam Overlanding I already paid the advance for the Hilux. We had a Patrol from 2009 before :-( but Hilux should be fine...
Well you will be seeing a hilux on this channel soon too 👌🏻
Roam Overlanding changing cars?
22 Oct and you are talking about hand sanitiser oghhhhh wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Hahaha this was ahead of the curve! 😂 he has always been a clean person
i know it's too late but for me there is not cool as much as the suzuki jimny its hard and cool an strong and it can go any where ...

Is that a hilux? I thought it is a Hyundai Santa Fe...
Yep it’s a hilux 👌🏻
