furydeath I dunno what is the difference between exploit and bug, but anyway everything which can give you advantage like this is illegal. This is the same as Martn's Fury incident, you can tell million times that you have done nothing whrong, still it's obvious that this is illegal. Next patch after this video mage passive give you SPD only of absorbing your own skills

You had to be pretty damn naive to think it is intentional to be able to solo raid content - at the current tier. Sure, you can call it an oversight from blizzards point, but it is definately also exploiting abilities.
The cavaliers have a bone shield buff that absorbs a TON of damage, like a million or so. Mage talent increases spell damage by how much damage you absorb. Since Razuvious hits for 50k damage to cloth, she was getting a +50K spell damage buff.
I remember when i first saw this back then on mmo-champion ! so lame by blizzard for removing the loot,that helm from Gothik was BiS for mages in first patch on wotlk.

It awesome that someone sat down & worked this out. Whats even funnier is that Blizzard hotfixed this within 4hrs of the video being posted. Many ppl reported that the buff had suddenly stopped working whilst attempting to copy this very video. From the same 2 peeps that 2manned Loatheb.

ok for all who doesnt know whats going on in this vid 1.the mage does dmg the death cavallery 2.because of the dmg the cavallery cast a spell named bonearmor (absorp fire, ice, nature, shadow, arcane and physic dmg with a value of 1200000) it fades out after 10 sec. 3.now the mage got an "armorspell" which makes him imba (just for 10sec.) but...if he get hit by an enemy this spell activates an effect

@atlele Yes it was an unintended effect of stealing bone armor. He has Incanter's Absorption. This talent increases your Spell Power by 15% percent with each damage took. With Bone Armor up, he absorbed all the damage and it caused that talent to stack. Since he takes no actual damage to his hp, it means he building up that talent until hes doing MASSIVE damage. Its like the old Paly glicth that allowed Kazzak to be one shotted.

She had the bone shield the trash put on her making her absorb attacks. In her talents she has something that makes it so when she absorbs an attack, she gains 15% of that damage as spellpower for 10 seconds. When you're taking a beating from a boss and some trash, the spell power adds up.
What happens is she used Ice Block to wipe his debuff that lowers your stats so she could get more int/spirit as she was using insane amounts of mana for a single spell... But it also meant that the stamina reduction got removed so she suddenly got a bunch of HP.
back before the patches, you could absorb the cavilers bone sheild, which absorbs insane ammounts of damage, then incanters absorbtion ( an arcane talent) increases damage by 15% or so of the ammount absorbed.
The Arcane Talent Incanters Absorption added 15% of damage absorb to spell power. So if you're getting hit for 10k, theres 1500 spell power. And because the bone armour absorbed like 1M damage or something, you could get massive ammounts of spell power. Too bad Blizz fixed it, I had fun doing.
Wish I had thought to do this ha ha, very cool. Spellsteal is incredible, I'm sure we'll all get an opportunity to use it "creatively" again at some point in the future, just hoping I'm savvy to it before it gets patched out.
cylomtic, First he absorbs the Cavaliers Bone Shield which absorbs A LOT of damage, also in the arcane tree there's an ability called Incanter's Absorption which adds spellpower equal to 15% (i think) of all damage absorbed. Since he's getting hit by a shitload of mobs and taking a shitload of damage he's getting a shitload of spellpower. Hope that helps :)

It's not a private server at all. The talents he lists in the video are what causes the damage. Incanter's Absorption now has a cap so that total spell damage increase cannot exceed 5% of your health, but previously it didn't. Bone Armor absorbs the damage and away you go.
OK definitely not a private server The people who figure out these exploits should definitely work for bliz since they dont really put things together as much as players do And for those whining that this guy ruined it for all mages planning to solo the Dk wing. This is real. Incanter's absorbtion is a mage talent that grant a temp, stackable buff of spell power equal to 15% of damage caused to the mage. Bone armor can be spellstolen by mages from the riding knights, it absorbs hundreds of thousands of damage and lasts one minute. By chaining together bone armor steals this is real.
the insane crits he is doing come from a talent called Incanter's Absorption. this talent allows you to transfer 30% of the damage you absorp with any kind if shield to spellpower... it has been nerfed so the insane crits are no longer possible ;)

From this video it is obvious that the text from the healt bar and the mana bar is in the format: Health #####/##### Mana #####/##### Her mana is 17675. So the mana text is legit, but takes all the mana bar. Since health text is longer than mana text it is normal that it goes out of the frame. This effect is cause due to lower resolution (see the rest of the UI) prabably to increase fps during footage capturing.

No. He is arcane. Somewhere in the arcane tree, there is this spell which increases your spellpower for an amount of the damage you absorb. And with the bonearmor you absorb all attacks which means, your spellpower will inscrease with tons.
For everyone who is asking why he was critting for so much, is cause a crit is 200% of all your main damage. for a mage it'd be spell power now with is talent spec, incanters absorption, whenever he absorbs damage he gains a stack that gives him 15% spell power, he spell stole bone armour that absorbs all incoming damage, so everytime he got hit he got a 15% spell power stack that stacks to millions of spell power. now when he crits, he gets 200% of all his spell power in a crit (:

As of 3.0.8, this spell is no longer spellstealed. 2) He has the "Spellcaster Absorbion" Talent in the Arcane Tree, which converts absorbed damage into Spell Power, thus the uber 100k+ crits he got. THIS TALENT CHANGED IN 3.0.8, the spell power inrease is limited to 5% of the mage's health.

This is not private server. Mages used to be able to spell steal the horsemen's boneshields, which made it so you would take no damage. This guy speced into incanters absorbtion in the arcane tree, which temporarily increases your spell power based on damage completely absorbed. After this vid blizz made it so you cant spell steal the bone armor anymore so people couldnt do this again.
that was entirely bliz not knowing what they had done. that mage just found the way to play his class. and he proved it, so bliz was wrong to have taken his stuff away.
@pyr666 Yeah Bone Shield is no longer stealable, in addition Incanters Absorbption was changed to only go to a max of 5% of the Mage's health. Which was recently changed back, but only works when Mana Shield, Frost Ward, Fire Ward or Ice Barrier absorbs damage and translates 5% of that into spell power for 10 seconds with no limit.
@Noobsgoneaway there was a talent that was glitched in the start of wotlk for arcane mages that would stack SP and increase arcane spell damage. this is on live server.

This is actually completely real. The health looks a bit high (can't see the actual amount), but if you see the 414531 dmg pyroblast at 2:29 and go to the armory page and check out the Largest Hit Dealt, it is exactly that amount.
this is not a private server. we used this to have our mage tank razuvious before they fixed it. its a very clever use of the arcane tree. unfortunately, it made it so the DKs bone armor can no longer be spellsteal'd :(
Its Bone Armor, and that doesnt increase his dmg. Only with the talent: Incanter's absorbption, he does lots of dmg. Because it increases his dmg by 15% of absorbed dmg. And Bone Armor absorbs everything.
Riddle me this For the 1st boss in the military wing, when an understudy is taken over -> BONE ARMOR is used prior to engaging the boss -> that understudy still takes damage with BONE ARMOR ON. While all the other things in this video may be true, the mage didn't lose 1 HP. Since I'm a healer who healed understudies who had bone armor on, how could this be true.

You can't do it anymore. And the reason why you could only do the Military Quarter then is because the mobs he was Spellstealing the damage shield buff from (Death Knight Cavaliers) will deaggro if you leave the quarter.
pretty hilarious. Guess the incanters tallent didn't have a cut off like it does now. did you make like spell steal focus macros for all of those bone shield mobs? tabbing through those would be so crazy

It's not very weird as you're part of the Lich King's forces when you're in the "starting" Ebon Hold... The Naxxramas composes solely of Arthas' "lieutenant" Kel'thuzad's soldiers and commanders. Basically every boss in Naxxramas, except for Sapphiron and Patchwerk, will appear friendly in the DK starting area. Sapphiron never really exists there, unless you count the frost wyrm as her, which I doubt you do, and Patchwerk is someone you will slay as one of the last quests in Ebon Hold before OL.

the way the spec was set up makes spell power go up for every time they miss or what ever so thats how the crits were huge

so everytime he got hit he got a 15% spell power stack that stacks to millions of spell power.
now when he crits, he gets 200% of all his spell power in a crit (:
Es war nicht um einen privaten Server. Es war ein Fehler, wenn der Magier könnte spellsteal Knochen Rüstung aus der Cavaliers, damit ihnen unendlich spellpower und Schadensabsorption.
So
1) He uses a spell called "Spellsteal" on the horsemen before Razuvius. This spell steals a buff from an enemy target. In this case he got bone armor, a buff that lets you absorb ALL damage for some time. As of 3.0.8, this spell is no longer spellstealed.
2) He has the "Spellcaster Absorbion" Talent in the Arcane Tree, which converts absorbed damage into Spell Power, thus the uber 100k+ crits he got. THIS TALENT CHANGED IN 3.0.8, the spell power inrease is limited to 5% of the mage's health.
Durch den Zauberraub der Todesritter auf den Gäulen, denn die haben das Knochenschild sich gebufft (welches er sich dann halt klaut) und so absorbiert er 1 Minute lang Schaden ;-)

This is not private server. Mages used to be able to spell steal the horsemen's boneshields, which made it so you would take no damage. This guy speced into incanters absorbtion in the arcane tree, which temporarily increases your spell power based on damage completely absorbed. After this vid blizz made it so you cant spell steal the bone armor anymore so people couldnt do this again.
the down side to this is you can never stop to gain mana cause your constantly under attack

that was entirely bliz not knowing what they had done. that mage just found the way to play his class. and he proved it, so bliz was wrong to have taken his stuff away.

@pyr666 Yeah Bone Shield is no longer stealable, in addition Incanters Absorbption was changed to only go to a max of 5% of the Mage's health. Which was recently changed back, but only works when Mana Shield, Frost Ward, Fire Ward or Ice Barrier absorbs damage and translates 5% of that into spell power for 10 seconds with no limit.
@Noobsgoneaway there was a talent that was glitched in the start of wotlk for arcane mages that would stack SP and increase arcane spell damage. this is on live server.

He spell-steals boneshield.. and he has the talent that makes you gain spell damage upon absorbing damage.
Banned and loot removed? Fuck that. This isn't an exploit, it's brilliant use of Blizz's own poorly designed game mechanics. They should have given you a medal.

This is actually completely real. The health looks a bit high (can't see the actual amount), but if you see the 414531 dmg pyroblast at 2:29 and go to the armory page and check out the Largest Hit Dealt, it is exactly that amount.
He was spell stealing the riders, not the understudies. Bone armor is NOT the same as the riders absorbtion Effect. This was changed though
this is not a private server. we used this to have our mage tank razuvious before they fixed it. its a very clever use of the arcane tree. unfortunately, it made it so the DKs bone armor can no longer be spellsteal'd :(
Its Bone Armor, and that doesnt increase his dmg. Only with the talent: Incanter's absorbption, he does lots of dmg. Because it increases his dmg by 15% of absorbed dmg. And Bone Armor absorbs everything.
Riddle me this
For the 1st boss in the military wing, when an understudy is taken over -> BONE ARMOR is used prior to engaging the boss -> that understudy still takes damage with BONE ARMOR ON. While all the other things in this video may be true, the mage didn't lose 1 HP.
Since I'm a healer who healed understudies who had bone armor on, how could this be true.

bone shield was spellsteal able and mages have(or had) and talent which translates taken dmg into spellpower so all he had to do was to keep the shield up and then he end up with a lot of spellpower.
It'd only be this wing anyways, if it wasn't patched.
Kudos to the Mage though for being so creative.
You can't do it anymore. And the reason why you could only do the Military Quarter then is because the mobs he was Spellstealing the damage shield buff from (Death Knight Cavaliers) will deaggro if you leave the quarter.

pretty hilarious. Guess the incanters tallent didn't have a cut off like it does now. did you make like spell steal focus macros for all of those bone shield mobs? tabbing through those would be so crazy

they fixed talent where you gain a percentage of the amount of damage you absorb - so bone armor absorbs so much the damage stacks.

It's not very weird as you're part of the Lich King's forces when you're in the "starting" Ebon Hold... The Naxxramas composes solely of Arthas' "lieutenant" Kel'thuzad's soldiers and commanders. Basically every boss in Naxxramas, except for Sapphiron and Patchwerk, will appear friendly in the DK starting area. Sapphiron never really exists there, unless you count the frost wyrm as her, which I doubt you do, and Patchwerk is someone you will slay as one of the last quests in Ebon Hold before OL.

Außerdem hatte der Magier ein Quartett von gegnerischen Todesreitern dabei, denen er mit „Zauberraub die „Knochenrüstung geklaut hat die hält über eine Minute 1,2 Millionen Schadenspunkte vom Zauberer ab.

that mug used spell steal(arcane move) on the horses for thier bones and the bones took damage off 1mil so that's why that mug could solo it
