HRVY shouldn't be marked on the choreography but on how well he performs what he has been taught and I think he did well!
Ye he didn’t chose the choreography
Was not great
Choreography too
Really nothing special
He is good with the cameras and where they are because he is a singer and he has done loads of music vids with tons of big cameras.
Exactly, he has no control over the choreography.
Deffo agree!!!
Don’t think it’s fair that HRVY got downgraded because of poor choreography, like he has no or very little creative control in the dances at all.
True about choreography but his dance was not good too
I know it's mostly about the celebrity, but they're competing as a pair and they are graded as a pair so the pro's work is a part of that grading...
True it's not the celebrity issues the choreography
Still When Some dance it's not always great
Like a famous person doesn't They do great
Comments Judges can be ridiculous
that right but in the same Janette need to know her mistakes because it is team work at the end.
@@sosoomar4628 yep, I agree, but don't mix up Janet with Jeannette!
SO SO SO UNDERSCORED! I don't think I have ever been so disappointed after watching strictly dancing judging.
@SEAN STANLEY I’m not sure but I think it was around like 6s or 7s but I forgot
@SEAN STANLEY oh right ok
I get so mad when the Celebs? get told the choreography wasn't good, that is down to the Professional
vallee Yeah, but the Celebs have no control over the choreography. So, why are they putting it on the Celebs when it’s the Pros making it up??
Performer and dance are not the same
True choreography and celebrity dance are not the same
Don't blame the celebrity for that
However his dance was not great
Yeah tell off the pro not the celebrity for not giving enough content. I thought it was a cute dance yes his pro should have given him more Cha Cha steps but that’s her fault not his
@@naimaboukhouf7357 they’re not blaming them?? can you read??
i swear i never understand the judge feedback. When i was watching it I thought it was so cute and me and my mum were getting all excited while watching it, then the judges say all that about it lacking cha-cha-cha content which isn't even his fault. It's like they found it hard to say good things about it, even though I thought it was great. but hey, what do i know? definitely deserved a much higher score compared to some of the others tonight tho, Jamie's was funny but how did it score more than HRVY? smh
Yeh the comments about it lacking content were a bit bull considering he can’t control that aha. I think it’s just because the parts that were cha cha cha weren’t like very technically good. But yeh I’m not a dancer I’ve just seen other people’s comments. But yeh same I really enjoyed it I never really agree with the judges tbh aha
He was a little tight as well
Cute! This dance is really cute! Especially when they did their Strictly intro at the end! Never thought I'd see the day Gnomeo and Juliet was a Movie Week dance on Strictly.
However; Strictly, no matter how much you try to give them "young love" like dances on this show... It will not stop them from looking like mother and son!
HRVY is an incredible performer and knows how to sell a dance. His one though was lacking in actual cha cha content and while he concentrated so much on keeping off his heals and his leg straight, this lead to him lacking in hip action. 7
Scores: 6, 7, 8= 21
Thank you for the scores
@@MintyDragonfly can i ask why you dont like him
@@chloecook1460 nobody likes him cos hes a successful singer and "singers shouldnt be on strictly"
@@ended_ellipsis I think he's great but the fact he has lots of fans could caused a fixed win if he makes the finals that's why I dislike the public vote it should really be up to the judges to decide the winner because it should be about talent and consistency and improvement and Maisie and Harvey are both really consistent talented dancers above everyone else so far
@@ended_ellipsis hilarious tell that to max whose with dianne too then 🙄
he shouldn’t have been undermarked for choreography (which wasn’t even bad). it had nothing to do with him
Well, they're a team after all, one's mistake affects both of them no matter what.
i think the same, it's sometimes not fair but they do get marked as a couple though
Go HRVY and Janette you rock and you can definitely win the competition you are the best NO.1
This was undermarked, it was honestly amazing!
yes it was
Yes it was under-marked
How was this given just over half marks!? His hips are more fluid than the genders of gen z
(Obviously I love and support the community and a fan a myself so all in good fun)
I really liked their routine, it was fun. It looked like they were having fun which is one of the reasons we watch entertainment shows. They entertained us.
I am in two minds about specifically the scoring of this performance. The show is about being a dancing couple and so for that reason the choreography has to be judged based on content etc.
On the other hand, to deduct marks because a dance simply doesn’t suit someone I completely do not agree with - that is not something that they can change or help, if they are doing the steps technically correct then that is simply not their fault
The dance itself I actually really enjoyed, cha cha content or not. HRVY’s musicality, fluidity and spotting are absolutely second to none. I also loved that they included their signature move at the end. Hopefully next week there is more choreography content and less judge moaning. 8/10
Lacking content?? Anyone who watches the USA DWTS knows that there have been cha chas with WAYYYYY less content that have been scored better. . .cough *gleb* cough. . .shoulda gotten 7's and 8s.
This isn’t DWTS, it’s Strictly, they aren’t supposed to break out of content for more than 10 seconds in each routine, out of the 1 minute 40, I’d say 25 seconds of this was cha cha
Gleb’s recent cha cha was mainly grinding 😂
I feel like this was so underrated
they killed it, you can’t tell me different
Ok ik Craig is strict but this wasn't a six in my opinion. I felt like it was underscored a bit.
He did pretty good! He tackled the onslaught of choreography with tact and came out on top for the most part. At times his hip action looks a tad robotic but he managed to have it consistently throughout the dance. I can't get over how ridiculous his beard looks given his baby face.
In regards to the last statement: Well, that just makes him look even more like the character of Gnomeo.
10. The cha cha cha was clean, smooth, focused I loved it.
I would totally cha cha to this song, it makes it 100x times better
They're both sooooo cute as gnomes!!
Lovely entertaining little routine. HRVY did a really great job, not fair to mark him down for choreo as that's out of his control!
I thoroughly enjoyed this dance. Light-hearted and entertaining and a terrific PERFORMANCE and Hrvy danced the routine he was given fantastically. Whilst the routine lacked Cha-Cha-Cha elements that is not Hrvy's fault. He can only dance what he's been given. If the judges choose to comment on the lack of cha-cha-cha they should direct their feedback at the professional, not the celebrity. I'm glad he is through to next week. Hrvy is definitely one to watch!
I really enjoyed this dance, it deserved a higher score! Rooting for you HRVY
This was a cute dance. Never thought of I'd see someone cha cha to elton john though. lol
He did so well, and you could see how much effort was going into it.
Defently deserve to stay another week
They had good new Yorkers, cuban breaks and 60 seconds of content. How was it a 6? I'd give it an 8.
It’s a 5 really, watch some other cha cha routines like Joe and Diannes, you’ll see that the whole routine is cha cha.
@@charliewelton_05 I know that this wasn't full of content but it's movie week and it's not like they should expect everyone to dance like a dancesport athlete plus he shouldn't have been scored low for Janette's choice in choreo.
@@tosinagbi8378 I understand that, but you can’t score these guys an 8 and then score someone that has learnt much more content and technique lower.... I personally don’t think movie week is good though, because the songs are very specific which sets people up to fail, like Jason And Luba
@@charliewelton_05 who did I score lower? Sucks to say it but it's a tv show
@@tosinagbi8378 I mean motsi gave him an 8 and scored better dances lower
These costumes tonight wow...
I am a HUGE HRVY fan now, before the first week I was unsure of him but I mean Hes GREAT! What did Craig mean by "uncomfortable? If he and Janette don't win.....
I loved it. 8
They both did amazing 😊
aw he's cute
under marked,,cha cha is very hard especially for males!janette is such a powerhouse, despite her choreography not being the best,it shouldn’t mean it’s hvry’s fault and then be under marked!very entertaining anyway
Can I say this
I agree like women’s bodies are like rubber bands and men’s bodies are like stiff cardboard
Wait a minute. So that Dance got 6 from Craig and 7 from Ballas, Same as Nicola's Dance? Thanks God we have Motsi here...
That's what I'm talking about yess
Yes but Motsi overscored too much
@@naimaboukhouf7357 i don't fell like she overscored. Music didn't helped at all here
@@naimaboukhouf7357 And i'm so happy Motsi is on the show. I mean anything could be better than previous judge... ugh...
Yes 🙌
they definitely deserved more than a 6, this was amazing!!! 🎊 harvey was way better than a 6 and its not his fault that it wasnt cha cha cha enough cus janette did the choreography and harvey just learned what he was given, the judges are supposed to judge on the dancing not janettes part of the choreography 🤔🤨 and idk how harvey got scored less than jamie when harvey has better technique 🤦🏼♀️ they at least deserved 24
he did so good for what he's got. definitely not a 6
People were marked down because they weren't in character, but Harvey was in character throughout and the choreography he was given only helped to convey his character. If they had different cha cha choreography in that dance it may have impacted the overall performance, it's movie week!
I felt so sorry for Janette that night! She got really harsh comments about her choreography and all she wanted was a hug from Aljaz and she couldn’t 🥺
Our dreamies would be proud ;)
I always hope the scores received will result in Janette actually putting more of the correct dance content into future dances. and maybe even not keep breaking hold in future ballroom dances. I'd love to see HRVY do a full 1 minute 30 foxtrot or quickstep all in hold without too much faff!
For the people concerned about the grading not being fair because the celebrity has no control over the choreography I would say this: this is a relatively easy dance, it wouldn’t be fair to rank someone who did an easy dance well over someone who did average at a difficult dance. They are also a team. You could also say it’s not fair to rank down the professional when they have a useless celeb. It’s part of the completions the professionals want to win as much as the celebrities, probably more.
Judges should not let the pro’s interpretation cloud how they score the celebrities. It’s sad when celebs get lower scores than normal because the judges don’t like the choreography. Hrvy danced this well, and it wasn’t is fault about the lack of ‘cha-cha’, and I think he deserved higher (even if it was a few points)
I agree
I get what you mean but also he was meant to dance a Cha-cha, it’s hard for them to really rate it that highly when they didn’t see a Cha-cha. It wasn’t his fault but if you come on do a different dance they have to say you didn’t do well at it
@@Oliver-fu1go I understand and appreciate your point, but I guess they could’ve marked the cha-cha he did do. Perhaps Judges need to find a balance between the two.
There wasn’t enough content simply, I thought Jeanette would be pushing him to the limits. But he of course did perform the dance fairly well. An 8.
Was ridiculous
Well I loved it. Thought they made very cute gnomes.

Hey 🙈 Janet and Gary and Martin!
fabulous ...xxx
I LOVED THIS DANCE XX 😘
My Hrvy was Brilliant tonighte I gave it a 10 he's me winner
Wasn't expecting a 6 from Craig considering Harvey's technical ability, I actually really like this cha cha never fails to impress! The only problem I think was the lack of Cha Cha content at times but there still was some great Cha Cha content in there (mostly from the beginning of the routine) and he felt maybe a little too straight legged, he definitely could of used a little more hip action for sure but I quite liked the routine overall, 8!
HARVEY is the best!!!!!!!❤️
Harvey im so proud of you, you was amazing!!❤
Locksteps, chasses, Cha Cha walk, Cuban breaks, new yorker, flexed knee synchronisations and side by sides. These are the 7 proper basics for a Cha Cha. The only one that was continual was the flexed knee synchronisations, they were lovely. The side by sides were decent but I didn't see a locksteps or chasses, I saw half a Cha Cha walk, 2 cuban breaks and a discontinued new yorker. The worst bit was the new yorker. Jeanette knows even a duffer is achevibale of a new yorker so of course HRVY is achevibale of it. Anyway the actual dance was good, nice energy, beautiful straight leg, beautiful gliding footwork, those lovely fingers you need finishing your lines and his posture was beautiful. The actual performance was immense and I luuuurv the modern vibe to it I like anything modern and new on strictly really. Great characterization from the movie but I would have loved to have seen more basic Cha Cha. I shall give it an *8/10* even though it really deserves a 7 but since I understand he is not in control of the choreography I won't penalise him. However if this happens again I will start removing marks because this was quite frankly lazy choreography form Janettes behalf, she is a Latin teacher so she should have been able to whip up a good Cha Cha I understand her Ballroom choreography lacks but not Latin. I can only hope Janette can redeem herself when HRVY gets Salsa (her speciality)
UNDERMARKED.
Fantastic sense of rhythm, wonderful partnership between HRVY and Janette (as usual), very joyful number that had a good amount of Cha Cha content (and I disagree with the judges on that point). I loved his chasse and his locked step, where he transferred weight from foot to foot amazingly well, but I didn't like his cuban break and his new-york strep because the knee of the back leg wasn't behind the knee of the front leg. In addition, I wanted to see more hip action and more straightening of the legs here and there and more gracefulness in his arms (his free arm was pretty weak). His feet were slightly turned out as well. So, to sum up, some parts of this dance were super strong and it looked like he has a potential to get a really high score (from me), but some parts were not so great. I still think that his quality of movement is superb, but he needs to work even harder of the technicality of the dance.
My score: a 7
YOOOOO THIS WAS SO GOOD!! 🥳I didn’t understand the feedback. HRVY did so well🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
This song just makes me think of Ella Enchanted and not whatever it’s meant to be from
This was crazy fast
Hrvy shouldn’t of been downgraded or judged on the content of the dance and the choreography he doesn’t get to choose that, so shouldn’t be marked on that.
Craig is so rude sometimes... there's a difference between being honest and being rude
Didn't know who the guy was but honestly, I enjoys this dance the most. I couldn't believe the scores, it seemed so unfair to him
I think choreography wise I would’ve liked more cha cha content, but once again he is proving to be a contender. He needs extra work on his hip action though, this is the first dance that really called for it and I’m not sure if it was just the tricky choreography but he seemed to get lost in that regard. (7)
They should have won
This feels like a street/commercial turned into a cha cha five minutes before they went live - what I mean is the dance? Great, the dancers? Even better. Just... This isn’t a cha cha
He is definitely a friend of Dorothys
I picture this as me and sonia the hedgehog as a couple
craig should have given at least a 7
I am hoping my garden gnomes won’t come alive when I move house. Well done John Todd and Janette 💔💞🙌🏼🙏🏻
7 (It's a shame. As much as I love Janette, her choreography did let him down a bit here. It was very repetitive and full of twirling and kicking - either to hide his lack of ability or idk what - strange. Not much proper cha cha in there at all which I don't get as he has the clarity of movement and some potential in the hip department as well. Love his confidence and energy as always but for me he's started to plateau. He really needs to up his game)
This year Jeanette has to get to the final.
Freaking finally. About time she had a celeb she could go far with.
Not with that level of choreography.
Janette holding her “weak choreographer” title very well.

That was so unfair, its not his fault...
the pairings get marked as a couple though, but i do think it's unfair

Floored to learn in the comments this got a 6 yet Nicola got a 7? I really liked it, he looks great out there, he’s got massive potential
Is this guy Colin Vincent Sally building Lego like Tom Holland and getting Prince Sally to use a hyperdermic needle!?
severely under marked
Well first off I'll be honest, yes that lacked a lot of content. But tbh thats not his fault so I thought it was wrong for Shirley to mark him down because of a lack of content. But for what he performed it was very good and he was constantly moving. From what I've seen this a dance that always looks stilted and this wasn't.
Ok maybe a lack of content but it was very good.

so undermarked :(
that CGI kills me
He should have been marked on how well he danced it instead of the choreography which he had no say in. He danced it so well!
I've got a feeling Janette didnt put a load of basics in because she feels Hrvy is better than that, so challenged him with more complex partner work and different rhythms, but there was still a fair bit of content in there! There were Cuban Breaks, Chasses, New Yorkers, Box Steps, Rondes, Lock Steps, Time Steps, he had Syncopation in there and different Timings/Rhythms! He could have mobilised his hips and upper body a little more, but overall I thought it was pretty good :)
I’m a gnome and you’ve been gnomed
How on earth did JJ and Jamie get higher than HRVY?? Seems like the judges have different expectations for different dancers... so unfair and I’m praying he makes it through to next week

I seriously didn't understand the judges marks tonight, personally I felt Max, Jamie, Caroline and JJ should have been below Hrvey and Nicola!
Noooooooooo. This dance had no content, no technique, although that isn’t his fault, if he had a relatively easy dance, he shouldn’t be getting a 10 for it.
JJ should have got 7s
Max 8s
Caroline 6s
Nicola 6s (timing issues, not much partner work)
HRVY 5s-7s no way was it more than a 7, sorry, but nah.
gonna admit i wasn't a fan of HRVY at the beginning because of his resemblance to Joe in every way but now i really want him or Max to win! Go HRVY!!!!!!!
The playback speed of this video is way faster than it actually was when they were dancing yesterday🤔 ( when it's on standard mode) but yes he deserved a lot more points for his dancing 🤨
Even before reading the comments and while watching them dancing, I actually said out loud- where''s the cha-cha bit. Not his fault for low scores, but they have to score on a cha cha. Bad choreography, next week he has to challenge it if it happens again
I hope he gets to redo the cha cha later on with a different song choice because this movie theme really took away from the dance. As great as it was, I wanted more
The choreo really let him down this week. I wait all week for a showstopper like week one, and this was only MEH ....... not HRVY's fault. He can only dance what he is given
Choreography was bad
Lots choreography in general are bad to be honest
Whilst the Celebs are the ones learning to dance it only makes sense to judge the Pros as well, as their job is to rise up to the occasion and teach the Celebs and sadly Janette's choreography failed.
Yes it's unfair that HRVY got low scores, but the judges were well within their rights to give such scores. If anything blame Janette for failing to choreograph a proper Cha-Cha-Cha.
If finding a mix of Cha-Cha-Cha and Gnomeo and Juliette is too hard then tell that to everyone at the top of the leaderboard.
True too Janette it's great dancer but choreography no.
It's just not fair to criticise the celebrity for that
@@naimaboukhouf7357 I'm just thanking god it wasn't Aston Merrigold Part 2. You'd think Janette would learn
I feel like something was wrong with the routine, maybe it was HRVY boots or something of that nature. I feel that the choreography was decent, however, it could have a bit more grounded and I kinda blamed the boots for this. *7.5*
Thought it was ridiculous that he was marked down on choreography. Not his fault? I thought it maybe wasn't quite as fluid as his other dances and so maybe not his dance, but I'd still give at least a solid 7.
