A large part of engine oils job is retaining the carbon from combustion in your engine which is what gives it a black tint. On a car that sees THIS frequent of oil changes gold oil after 1 track day isn't odd at all, but if you're pulling 5 thousand kilometer oil out of a daily and it isn't black? It's leaving the carbon to build up in the motor. Clean gold oil isn't always a good thing.

Also side note, I occasionally run diesel oil in my drift car every third event and you should see how much shit comes out with it.
@@AdmissionGaming try adding about a quart of atf right before an oil change and driving it another 50-100miles. The detergent packages are super aggressive in it while still maintaining lubricity, shit breaks up carbon like crazy.

This is one of the most enjoyable Sammit videos I've watched in awhile, has a cosy workshop vibe with all 4 of you there. The LTT video was great but this video just felt "right".

The wagon looks so good. I think it's a fun build with 500ish to the wheel. It would be bad ass, it's like the ultimate dad mobile for me, lol. Definitely some wheels and better suspension too.
Love the Stagea! When you premiered the parts car I was so excited to see what you were planning. My heart sank when you said it was just a parts car.

Wagon build should be mild OEM plus..but the interior needs a sound system upgrade... a PS2 with flat screens or something in the back and some OG street glow interior 6 inch or 12 inch mini neon. That would be my ideal setup lol.

Another thing to look out for on importing a car to the US, go through the car and tighten all the basic bolts and more if you can, when I got my mark 2, a few days after getting it I popped the hood to find oil all over the place and all it was, was the valve cover needing to be tightened, after that I’ve had absolutely no leaks
I cant wait to see the stagea done and hopefully in my driveway would love to see you go extreme with it but still a daily also we need some pink bits on the engine for sure

Ha, picked up a Barra Falcon runner with a few hiccups… no oil on the dipstick, 4L added before it hit the tip.
And spark plugs were just like the oil filter not even finger tight and sooted up the plug wires.
Ran like a top when I fixed that, had it till it got 930k km on the Odometer till it was written off.
The broken plug reminds me of the "fake" NGKs. But you usually don't hear about that in Japan since NGKs are produced locally vs imported. You may want to inspect those plugs closely.
How to tell if fake? Where I work we have a lot of old ngk plugs wonder if they real or fake now "usa"
Should check timing with #1 cylinder instead of the loop in the harness. In my experience, i've seen timing be 10 degrees off using the loop.
We want you to go a little extreme on the engine. Make sure you get it running good for me Sam!

16:00 yeah i had a na rb25de stagea it felt kinda slow but i cbf it was also misfiring turns out it had oil all in/around the spark plugs removed the oil and it wasnt slow anymore well as slow it did have 400,000km's on it but still, long story short if your stagea is misfiring check the spark plugs first lmao
You probably broke that spark plug with that hand movement you had going on. If your using a snap-on plug socket it’s more likely. just dropping plugs in the hole like that isn’t ideal either, bend the end and change the gaps.. not having a dig it’s just easily done.

Eh, honestly if you go very 'extreme' with one of those, any semblance of gas mileage goes in the toilet even by good-sized wagon standards, which can defeat the purpose of 'wagon' if you don't really go anywhere in it.

I'm not familiar with RB-Engines but setting Idle Timing to 0° sounds wrong to me or did I miss something? From my experience with european engines something between 10-15 degrees should be the right direction.

As far as the engine goes, I would give it the pink touch. Give it the Sam appeal. Pink brace, housings, maybe some blue cam gears, etc. You know what I mean. I really wouldn’t mind seeing an RB26, cough cough.

Someone probably dropped the spark plug before installing which will cause the porcelain to crack or break. I work for toyota and have seen it happen
