Really helped me a lot! I have a 21’ hellcat that when I punched it from low roll it wanted to sputter and “misfire” then got its shit together, gonna try and swap out the pilot tomorrow! Thanks
What I like to do if im gonna stick to the stock carb is I blue print it I go through it all and drill out the orifices in the bowl so it would flow more gasoline since these China carbs dont flow that good no two China carbs are the same it helps trust me
Sorry for all the questions but I just got mine and I'm still learning so I'm curious as to what emissions parts I need to remove. I know about the carbon filter but that's it. It's in California so has all the CA legal crap
The biggest things I removed were the charcoal canister and the EGR pump. All I had to do was block off the EGR port on the underside of the head. If you get a new carb and manifold, it won't have the vacuum port. If you choose to keep your stock carb, you can just cap it off
Just seen the company that makes hawks came out with a grom clone called rps condor. Might be heading to Arrington to pick one up since they are under 2k for one.
Hey Isaac, thanks for the feedback! This exhaust (Zoom Brute) is a direct fit for the Honda Grom. Due to the angle of the exhaust port on the clone engines, I had to use a torch and pipes to bend it to fit. It can definitely be done though!
So you putted Pilot 25 and Main 100? Cause I’ve putted Pilot 40 and Main 110 it’s running way better I have lil bog on the 3rd gear, what do you suggest me? I still have the original Intake (20mm) with a Nibbi Carb 24mm, tomorrow I’ll replace the Intake, so do you think that I need to set the nedle too or change again jets?
I need help, I just finished installing mine carb but it doesn’t start. The grey plastic thing where the needle for the throttle is doesn’t go all way down, there is a gap where the air will flow thru. Could that be the issue why it doesn’t start?
What did you have ur fuel/mixture screw set at? I’m running a 98main and 15 pilot, idles fine but full throttling it bogs n dies its super rich, needle is set in the middle, 790ft above sea level.
Man unfortunately I couldn't tell you. I sold this bike a long time ago.if it bogs super rich, this points to a too large main jet. Your fuel mixture screw adjust idle AFR.
@@BrunerTunerAhh man gotcha! Yeah like idling it’s fine but soon as I full throttle at idle it bogs and wants to die, when I take the manifold off gas is just sitting everywhere I’m lost lol
Hey Greg! This exhaust is actually a Honda Grom piece. Zoom Brute is the model. It's not a direct fit but it will work with some persuasion. I had to heat and bend it with a torch and some pipe.
i have a boom lil duc (ssr razkull clone) that i plan to put the vm22 carb on there which i think comes with a 90 or 95 jet. do you remove the charcoal canister with this mod and do the bottom block off plate? i dont have an aftermaket exhaust yet, just the front 16t sprocket.
So on mine, I removed all of the EGR, charcoal canister, basically all emissions stuff. For the EGR block off, the gy6 EGR plate works, or you can just bolt down a penny under the EGR pipe for a quick fix.
I’m having a prob with my bike so I change my filter to a cone one and now when I give it gas it acts as if it wanna bogg down(shut off) what could be the problem(I have the boom Vader)
Well this video breaks most of that down. If you add more air, you need more fuel. You could start by figuring out where it is bogging at and go from there buy buying larger jets
I putbkn a new fake carb. It's idling high, around 6k. I put in a 105 main jet prior to installing. Would that need adjusting? The throttle doesn't fully close when looking into it, slightly open. Kept the stock pilot jet. Help?
make sure your air/fuel screw is turned all the way in, then back it off by 1.5 turns and tune accordingly. also, adjust the idle screw. Do all of this with the choke open
I see you have the TST fender eliminator kit on your Vader Boone Did you have to get the OME Honda ground plastics to make it fit correctly? Please let me know I recently ordered one and having troubles I went ahead and ordered the OME parts hoping praying that that's what will solve it very excited to hear back from you Thank you
Well, like most 125cc clones, a gearing change does a lot for top speed. Most people get a 16 or 17 tooth front sprocket and that will get you in the mid 50s mph. Past that, a vm22 carb and a free flowing exhaust will help tons. You should be able to get close to 60mph with those mods. Anything more, and it's worth getting a zs190
Ok , right now stock I’m getting about 55 max . What’s the best choice to get it maybe to 65? And do you know of any good sounding exhaust? Do I need to get a full exhaust system or a slip on ? I’m sorry for the long question I’m just genuinely trying to learn
I would check out Clone Army on facebook. Use the search function and you'll see a wealth of knowledge. It all comes down to what you are willing to put up with. Higher top speed with gearing means you'll accelerate slower. A freer flowing exhaust will be pretty loud. 65 on the stock motor would be pretty tough. It's also worth noting that the stock speedo are notoriously inaccurate
@@BrunerTuner do you know what the sea level is where you reside? With Texas it could be right at sea level or almost 9000 above. I'm in Florida so I guess I'm just trying to find the best starting point based off of sea level data.
The pilot I pulled out had a way higher number but it was clearly smaller! Sometimes elevation can change what you need as well. Honestly, if your bike runs well, keep it how you have it. Every carb is different
I brought mine down to a 90 jet. Still bogs out until dead at full throttle. Any ideas what it could be? I have a Vm22 and a ransoto aftermarket exhaust
So, do a pull on your bike, and as soon as it bogs, turn it off. Then come back and check your plug and see how it looks, then tune according to how the plug looks.
