    ** START HERE: REFERRAL link for shopping directly at TSPROF (shops in USA and RUSSIA) and once there you will see the BLITZ PRO right on the first screen: tsprof.us/?ref=5zm0yav3z8
    DISCLAIMER: I got this Blitz PRO sent to me by TSPROF, I only had to pay some courior fees to get it.
    Want to see the REVIEW of the orginal BLITZ? Click here: ua-cam.com/video/T4VS791hU_w/v-deo.html
    UPGRADE KIT $90USD - If you want to order the PRO to update your existing BLITZ (standard or 360 versions) just use the SEARCH feature on that referral page and search for: upgrade (and the first result will be what you are looking for)
    PROTRACTOR / ANGLE FINDER STAND $21USD - it works with ANY of the BLITZ family sharpeners - just search for "Protractor stand" and you will find easily find it.
    BEST STONES - I recommend VENEV diamond stones above all others that I have tried. If you are in the market for new sharpening stones you should check them out. They are sold by MICRON size of the diamond, not by "grit" numbers.

    Yep, they'll definitely come a day when I purchase one of these type sharpeners or one similar. The most technological sharpening system I own, is the Lansky "Standard" HA! I'm fairly good with stones too, but no expensive Japanese stones or anything. Mainly, Smith's or similar.

      The Lansky was my main system for a lot of years, it is quite a good value.

    That's a nice upgrade to an already excellent sharpening system. It's disappointing that they don't include an angle measurement mounting plate, which seems like a very basic feature to me. Will you do a more in-depth review of this Blitz PRO? Thanks for sharing, Jake!

      I am glad that they make one available but it really should be included in the PRO version.
      I doubt I will do an in depth of the pro because other than the camps and the crossbar that holds the clamps it is pretty much identical to the original Blitz, and I have such a backlog of knives that I need to review, but I might do a better demonstration video of the upgraded parts specifically

    I chose to mount the e360 kit the same as you, as it works perfectly as a thickness compensator when switching from diamond plates to my strop.

    Hi , Thanks for the review, Can you tell me if the pro is actually heavier? Any other differences besides the clamps? , I myself like the look of the all aluminum of the regular Blitz 360 with the clamp upgrade , Or is the pro much better to get ? Thanks

    • @CanadianCuttingEdge
      @CanadianCuttingEdge  2 роки тому +1

      They are both the same weight (not exactly but very close) because they are both made of the same aluminum.. the PRO is simply made black.

    I ordered mine but have yet to receive it and I agree with you 100% regarding your statement about how they should have included the protractor stand as well since like you said they are calling it the "pro" version after all but what does that mean to them exactly? I'll just wait until they make a black anodized model specifically for the pro model and for the time being will just 3D model and print one out of plastic just to get by.

      I think they were just looking for a term to designate that is was an upgraded Blitz and they decided on "pro", I doubt it means anything else to them. They could have called it the Blitz 2, but that wasn't an option because they made the Blitz 360 and the numbering just wouldn't have been consistent.
      Having access to a 3D printer would indeed save the day on that, I guess black media is the easiest to get.

    I think I will stay with my Jende J.I.G.S. Comparable price, and based on what I have seen here, quite a bit nicer.

      @@CanadianCuttingEdge I did love my original TSProf and my Hapstone V7.

      Comparing the 2, IMO they are of similar build quality, but the tsprof is better engineered and is $180 cheaper. Both will net you the same results as far as edge goes, but the Jende is definitely easier to use for larger kitchen knives.

    I got a Worksharp Precision Adjust from White Mountain for $45 (w/ CCE discount code, it was the cheapest I could find), unless you're OCD or an edge snob, it's perfectly adequate.

    Currently have kme,would this be an upgrade?

    • @CanadianCuttingEdge
      @CanadianCuttingEdge  Рік тому +1

      In my opinion, it is easily an upgrade, YES. BUT, they are extra expensive right now due to the extra 40% tariff (tax) added to all products imported from Russia due to the war in Ukraine.

  • @sal1964

    Will that sharpen a 1/2 wide knife down to 15 degrees per side without hitting the clamp?

    • @CanadianCuttingEdge
      @CanadianCuttingEdge  2 роки тому

      I know that I could easily accomplish that on this system. It's all about how you clamp it. That's the best I can tell you.
      If you want to you can send me an email with either a picture or the exact model information of the knife and I could chow you how I'd clamp it up. Jake @ CanadianCuttingEdge.com ( remove spaces)
