@@romaric9874 Of course, it's not proof, but it is quite impossible to get such a clean and steady recording when moving a yard away from the microphone while singing. I've been playing music for over 30 years. I produce, and play a dozen instruments. I cannot even comprehend how she can do this. She's keeping track of probably 6 things at any one time where she has to manipulate something. Plus she has to change patches manually to get sounds, and improvise solos while singing. And it flawless, and doesn't sound even looped (even though it is). I'd think it was a live band if I wasn't watching her do it. Incredible.
Then there's the kid doing this in live shows with keys and other instruments. He explains live looping here: ua-cam.com/video/JgturagD0hA/v-deo.html Another performance: ua-cam.com/video/ywcqultfYaM/v-deo.html
@@iroulis Checked it out but his loops seem to be preprogrammed and just triggered via pedals etc. I certainly did not see him play what I was hearing other than maybe the instrument he was holding at the time. She's actually playing the loop before it starts to repeat and they just work together so well once she gets everything going. No taking anything from the young man mind you, just not the same process at all, and much less interesting musically. But we all have different tastes. Not better or worse just different. And of course being a guy myself, the lady is not hard to look at either! But that has nothing to do with the fact that she's just brilliant at what she achieves in a track.
@@satish8299 She's either playing the change in real time, which means she's stopping one loop, hitting record for another, and playing the new part, perfectly, and in time, while singing, or she rerecorded the part, and is switching loops. I'll have to rewatch, but I'd guess she's doing the former. And thats why this is so insane. I know she's playing the drums to create the loop in the beginning. I don't think any of this is "computerized" per say. She's recording parts, assigning those parts to buttons, and triggering those buttons in real time to create all the parts. Maybe things are synced to an internal clock, like they won't start before the next downbeat, but even if that were the case, this is some crazy shit.
Watching again, it looks like the only things that are sampled or pre-recorded are the guitars (2 samples at different pitches that she uses to create the chord progression) and that pad synthy thing that shows up in the chorus. You can see in the first chorus, she's playing a new drum beat with her left hand while she plays the new bass line with her right hand (while singing, and everything perfect). She's triggering the record and playback with footpedals, and she it seems like she has some sort of way to select samples or group them to start at the same time. And she's doing that with her feet, without looking, and while doing at least 3 other things at the same time. Insane.
The level of talent it takes to coordinate all her equipment and instruments is insane, not to mention flawless playing and singing at the same time. Damn.

well, I think she prerecorded the vocal, and here she sings from playback. She sounds like being close to mic, but on the video she keeps about 20 inch distance from the mic, also she shakes her head intensely and you can't hear the consequences of it in her voice (and you can hear some autotune corrections in the vocal track). The song is really good, so what is the point of tricking people that it's all live?
@@pogodanaprzygode There is another 2 girls that do the same thing, one plays drums and keys while they trade off on mixing, still its made to look like its made live while its obviously not live, her vocals come on when she's not even moving her lips...what is the point of fooling people that it is being performed 100% live? oh yes, i remember now, they go by "Gioli and Assia" - i mean they are good and talented so there is no need to deceive on wether a performance is "live" or just making a promo video...those are my thoughts.
This is absolutely amazing and I am just at a loss for words. I'm a Heavy metal Guitarist and I am intrigued by this. I have a daughter that has been talking about a Native instruments Machine, but this seems where its at . The whole package. If anyone can send me a link that could explain this type of setup , I would love to get her involved. I am just not understanding how you do this. Thank you. FANTASTIC !!
The main ingredient here is Ableton, which is a Digital Audio Workshop on Neon Vine's laptop/PC. It's a type of application capable of well... almost anything, but mainly acts as the "brain" of this set up. Inside of Ableton you can load up your software based synths and any of your favourite samples. These can then be processed, mixed and mastered all within the application. This is what does the looping of each sound too. Think of it as a whole studio in an app. Then, she's using what we call midi controllers to control Ableton (the studio), the and a few Software based synths/drum machines. Roli is one of these, and is a very specific keyboard-based midi controller which allows for more expression than standard keys. To drum out her patterns, she's using a MPD218, on which each pad triggers a specific sample that is loaded into ableton. She also uses a APC40, which is specifically tailored to control ableton's functions such as volume, triggers, clip selection etc. On top, there's a JDxi which is a hardware hybrid synthesiser. In my estimate, this whole rig would cost about £1,300. These are connected through USB for the most part, so simply plug and play. The NI maschine stuff is great. It's a midi-controller production suite with some elements of a DAW, but not the full capabilities to allow you write, mix and master songs. It's more like a musical sketchpad or a tool to use alongside a larger workflow. but really I'd look more into ableton and a push 2 or something similar. It combines playability with songwriting, mixing and mastering capabilities. It's really a centre piece of many artists workflow.
Thank you very much for taking the time to give such a detailed description. The tech today is really quite amazing compared to the old days. I do own a Roland JV30 and a audio interface and mackie with monitors. My daughter has. MacBook Pro which should be powerful enough to get going. I will look into som Akai controllers and study a bit more. Thank you for your help.
@@timothy5974 Starting out get some software like Native Instrument M32 or a launchpad that comes with with Ableton Live Lite. Lite all you need for live looping like this. The launchpad helps you launch clips and live loop without a mouse and a midi keyboard helps play notes.

doksan certainly is great what she does with her music, and i have no question about her talent. I’ve notice that is a playback because there is no difference on the Volume of her voice while she sings, and she sometimes faces the mic, sometimes the floor while she sings or even standing to far from the mic. There is no possibility you have no variation on the colour or Volume of the voice if you do this performing live!
Sigh... I know how looping works, people. I do it with guitar. Managing a ton of loops coming from different sources is still ridiculously challenging. Thanks to everyone for reminding me why comments on UA-cam are just so very awesome.
@@pablol7642 First thing in her list of gear at the top is: "Vocal Rider- The plugin responsible for keeping the vocal volume leveled and consistent throughout". I am duly impressed - looks all live to me!
@@AishawithanEye Well, at least the vocals were recorded separately for sure. There is no way she could be that far away from the mic and get a crisp and up close sound like you hear in the recording. Plus, you would hear her slap the midi pads in the first section, for example. It could very well be that some parts were performed live, such as the synth solos, but it`s possible everything is just "mimic`d". However, everything was definitely edited in the music production program afterwards and corrected, mixed, etc. BUT that`s not important, really. She did a great job composing this and if she did all the production stuff herself then she also did a great job at that. Keep in mind this is UA-cam, it`s like TV: it`s there for your entertainment! :)
@@SYNDRONE Hmm. I think you might be being a bit too skeptical. I record vocals as well and you can add FXs like compression and gating to make it sound like you're closer to the mic, as long as you manage the sample rate properly. My midi pads don't make any sound when I "slap" them so I don't know what kind of midi pads you're using... or if you've got pent up aggression that comes out in your style--LOL! I put this song on for my son who is special needs and he knows that beat right away and dances to it immediately! Thanks for bringing the joy of your music to us which makes an impact more than you may even know.
Congratulations on showing that all the Simon Cowells and other record label/tv vulture types, are now redundant. Your talent and capability are both oustanding. An inspiration for anyone that wants to get on with it, on their own. No band ego's to deal with either.
Holy moly! She is wailing on that black keyboard thing and doing so much more-effortless perfect vocals and all! Can't even get my head around it. Amazing talent.
She's doing all of these things AND singing on pitch! Just wow. And she can play serious keys. Mad skills on so many levels. I'm pleasantly shocked and really hope she's making damn good money as she deserves to.
Before autotune, all singers were expected to sing on pitch.
Great performance, but she is singing over a pre-recorded vocal performance -? Her distance to the mic doesn't affect the tone..?
probably the sickest thing I've ever seen!!!! unbelievable
You are a singer, pianist, drummer, bassist, DJ, audio engineer, entertaining and charming artist, what else could I describe you? Nothing compares to you.
Even if I just heard the voice and the song, would be listening . . .
But to see this performance, live with this setup, beyond impressive. A real gem of a musician artist with genuine talent (not to mention fun to watch). . . I'll be watching for future releases & demos.
I can't even play keys with two hands, is crazy how she can multitask like that, crazy performance brava!
People can’t even pat their head and rub their belly at the same time. Playing the drums and singing at the same time hurts my brain and what she’s doing is impossible. Keep doing it!!!
You are absolutely Amazing!
With fearsome ability of multi tasking on manipulating all these complicated synthesizers simultaneously yet, you could still maintain your dancing and grooving with such unbelievable ease.
Every performance you posted on your channel is a Master Piece.
God Bless! Such a Genius!
You should have a Great Career ahead of you!
Clicked for the wrong reason. Stayed for the right reason
Tiddys?
Don't ya love it when that happens?
The wrong reason was I thought it was Stevie Wonder's Too High. The right reason is because she has great talent--arranging, making beats, playing lines, singing, etc.
She is incredible
@@dickieknutz2933 there are TWO big reasons people like this video..... good audio production and great instrument performaces... ;-)
I feels good to see someone that all original by making her music and having her own style and sound.
I'm watching all the videos in the channel...you're an incredible singer, but a drummer, a bass player, a lead guitarist and a keyboardist too....i think i forget something...oh yes, you're a sound engineer too.... I'm a music teacher in a small town in Italy, i showed to my students one video you made, they didn't imagine only one person can do that....astonishing. Greetings from Italy!
grande bro
Multi-tasking at its best. Simply mind-blowing. Don't waste your talent. Go out there and conquer the world!
What world?
The balance of sheer natural musical talent and technical mastery is mind blowing. And you are beautiful to cap it all off! The world is too lucky to have you in the world.
I'm wondering why some guys disliked this amazing performance of this talented girl!!! DON’T BE JEALOUS !
When silly people say that electronic music doesn't take any talent, show them this.
Thank you.
Agree. This is "acoustic" enough for them, but impossible to play in realtime any other way.
People stopped using that argument years ago. Anyone can make music now adays but the difference is in quality.
@@Seathasky You'd be surprised how stubborn some people can be.
My ears tell me this is awesome, Plus the lady is classically trained ... IT SHOWS! .... YOU GO GIRL!!!!
as a general rule i mostly agree with that argument. if it weren't for the fact that this chick is rocking the hell outta that seaboard, you can pretty much do this with a couple tape decks lol.
Amazing singer, great keyboardist, awesome percussion player, fantastic producer all in one! Man, I feel blessed enjoying your musical talent and beautiful voice. Keep on creating Neon Vines!
Finally, someone putting that Seaboard to WORK.
the fact that she can sing amazingly, and control all those devices at the same time actually amazes me.
She's lip syncing
@@jtn191 Truth. But she is still spot on with the lip syncing. - meaning she could almost certainly do it all, vocals just wouldn't sound as polished / pitch perfect.
@@paulkorchok6567 This could also have been the other way around - she could have overdubbed the vocal track later. Pretty common in live albums. Also some keyboard parts also giveaway the playback/overdubbing.
The talent, and the number of rehearsals this video must have taken... The synchronisation between instruments, voice, and nevermind controlling the APC40 etc is incredible. Really well done!
The performance is so electrifying, I still can't believe it was done by one person. WOW. you are gooooood
GOT HERE BY CHANCE....STAYED HERE BY CHOICE!!! (loved it!) - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS GREAT MUSIC TREAT!
Finger drumming while playing bass while singing... just wow !
Just got recommended and I IMMEDIADETLY had to SUB this woman.
Awesome! Go on with that :)
That is real talent to me. I feel like I just watched something amazing,. A great perfomance. Rhis song sounded so playful and groovy, now it just sticks too my mind. Thank you this.
Looping is a simple process to set up in Ableton Live. However to use it as effectively as this is pure art. Fantastic example of looping done well.
The arrangement is just wonderful 👌🏼 🎹 🎧
Also, it’s Amazing that you’re pulling this out live
Thank you! :)
Very few can hold me through a whole song, but...........Have mercy!!
I can hear her enunciation and articulation her words
Her message is clear reveals her soul and mind..
Exceptional
Thank you
I am really impressed. You are the greatest talent I have discovered in a long time!
Wow, thank you for the kind words
She needs a good headsetmic so she can do the vocals live as well! Even if the quality was reduced, it would still make for a better supertalent show-off! Would blow peoples minds when performing infront of a live audience.💥
Do that! Please!
You're a rare talent and you obviously put in a lot of work. Kudos.❤
She needs NO advice
I'm pretty sure the vocals are recorded live. Scary, I know
angrysammo if that’s shit it’s live, her and that mic are fucking amazing lol
ThePROFESS10NAL supernatural mic that catches near-field audio from 20 inches with no keyboard clatter.
introduced my friend to this video whilst smoking a blunt up in the mountains in Spain. Blown away! This song, that setting. Amazing!
It requires some talent to just understand how hard the stuff she is doing.
truee
It's one hell of a job...!!! 😰
i was thinking the same
Amazing talent. That Neon Vines performs her arrangements live is quite an accomplishment. Great voice also. If I were an equipment manufacturer I would be calling her up and sending her $$. :-)
WOW!!!! AMAZING ! You are the total package...vocals, playing, and love your studio rigs. Major kudos!!!
This is AMAZING! It's incredible what she's doing. And this song has been stuck in my head for days, it's super catchy! And I love her expressions while she plays :D
This is such a crazy good performance 😍 she's so talented
Love that funky Baseline and Guitar.
The Pads are great too.
Nice work 👌
it is amazing how many pseudo artists like Niky minage, maluma, and those reggeaton people among other they believe they have talent, but watching this they would realize they do not deserve that fame.
pssst you can also compliment people without bringing others down
@@bigmistqke I will recognize your name "big mistqke" as my ego talking. you are correct. I have read my comment again and I realized about my ego talking so yes I should have have comment only the compliment to this girl without bring others down. sorry this time
Well my friend you can take cold comfort in the fact that fame kills people and that is not all that it’s cracked up to be. But I would have to agree with you that there is a lot of BS in the business. Thing I like about this young woman as she’s modest and her choice of clothing and so forth. Really talented people don’t need to dress up like streetwalkers
She's so talented and also master of Roli Seaboard. amazing
You are evolving and getting 'Higher' as the time passes!!! You are truly a great Artist, in so many ways...!!!
The Roli is INSANE! You absolutely shred that thing "_
Omg 😦 you absolutely killed it! Bravo you are an excellent musician. Don’t stop posting vids, the channel will grow and grow.
Thank you so much!!
I am listening this for the 10th time in a row! OMG, who needs a band? U r a genius lady
She’s very talented. AND the boot on the keyboard is contemporary art.
The only thing i can conclude is that she is a musical android. No human can do that!
Check out another talented young lady named Elise Trouw on UA-cam. She does the same thing with live looping, but she also plays live drums.
judging by the movements of her neck and head, she can still suck at the same time.
well, I think she prerecorded the vocal, and here she sings from playback.
Pogoda na przygodę and lyrics suck ass. She could at least have put a speck of effort into it.
Fantastic! Great performance. Best wishes, Gregor
That was just incredible! Talk about cutting-out the middle-man!
Maquette Music th
Nick Hagedorn thank you nick for your advice and guidance I will look into the native instrument controller. Thank you.
Without any word!!! She have viral talent!!! So amazing! Can stop to listen Rachel's creation!
Can or Can't? ;-)
@@bsvenss2 can't obviously... sorry :P
That was killer. Man, those solos where soooo tastey! I mean, it all was, but that was a highlight. your vocal tone is also sooooo nice!
so sirens do still exist! if i was sailing and heard this, it would lure my to my doom for sure ha, voice is angelic and your skill at production is ace.
Great Performance on the Roli Seaboard! Fantastic!
Record Label: What do you want to focus on in your music career?
Neon Vines: Yes.
Just found you on UA-cam, one word to describe what you did live. That word is...MAGIC 😎👍
Marco was my first exposure to the Seaboard, still my fav!!!
(I BOUGHT a Seaboard 49 because of it!!!)
Neon Vines is just AWESOME!!💜
SO MUCH TALENT!!, AND BEAUTIFUL!!!💜💜💜💜
Holy crap! She's managing like 18 things... REALLY WELL!
Just amazing.
lee perry is playback
doksan certainly is great what she does with her music, and i have no question about her talent.
Multitasking off the friggin charts!
Girl your talent is amazing... 10/10 for this performance !
The Roli Seaboard sat on the edge of the bed after, and had a smoke.

This is the most insane musical performance I've ever seen in my whole life.
it`s definitely a nice composition, but this ain`t live (at least not the vocals)... :) Just saying!
@@SYNDRONE Wait... It's not?! It looks live, like it was recorded in one take.
However, it wouldn't be difficult to fake one take with all this technology at our disposal. I understand the temptation and frown at those who aren't honest about it with us because an unedited single take performance is the most impressive!
@@AishawithanEye Aisha, I'm a recording engineer and i can tell you SYNDRONE is right, this is not live. But whatever makes you guys happier to believe. It's a very cool and well produced song though.
Some people have alien levels of talent.... This girl approaches God mode.
seriously
God Mode applied, seriously yeeeeeees!
So true
What you see here is the final product of hours of training. Everyone could do this but ppl just don't believe in it.
U must be a newbie if u think this is something god like...she's good/funky but if u practice u can be too
Jesus!!! YOU.ARE.AMAZING. The bass line, those sweet vocals, the wicked synth lead riffage?!?!? Smokin that weed now amiga. Good jams
JD-xi!!!!! awesome!
When I think of what a modern DJ should be I think of this, actually forming the music live, great job!
this has nothing to with being a 'disk jockey'
Girl,,,,, those key solos just take me away. Straight away. 🔥
I love her music! And all her outfits are so damn cute!
